Mann-Simons Cottage is a historic home located at Columbia, South Carolina. It was built around 1850, and is a 1+1⁄2-story, cottage style frame house on a raised basement. The front façade features a porch supported by four Tuscan order columns. It was the antebellum home of a substantial free black Columbia family.The house now serves as a museum, with tours offered six days a week. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

Columbia Historic District I is a national historic district located in the Arsenal Hill neighborhood at Columbia, South Carolina. The district encompasses nine contributing buildings and includes a complex of fine mansions and attractive homes built before the American Civil War. The buildings are in the Greek Revival, Italianate, Classical Revival, and the “Columbia Cottage” styles. They include the Governor's Mansion, Caldwell-Hampton-Boylston House, Lace House, and Palmetto Iron Works and Armory.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.

The South Carolina Science Academy (SCSA) was a tuition-free public charter school in Columbia, South Carolina, open to all students that reside in South Carolina. SCSA was a publicly funded school that focuses on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The school currently had enrollment of 136 students in grades 6–12 at the time of closing. The target student population was 450 students. The inaugural year for the South Carolina Science Academy was originally set to be 2012, but the sudden death of the school's founder, Mr. Nathan Yon, pushed that date back to 2014.The SC Science Academy had received a ten-year charter, had been approved by the South Carolina Department of Education, and was authorized by the South Carolina Public Charter School District in 2011. In accordance with the charter school model, an annually elected board of directors composed of local business leaders, educators, and parents governed the school.Enrollment in the 2016 school year was 140 students.The school was AdvancED accredited, and it rated "Good" in opportunities in foreign language. In 2016, the school had 1.3 professional development days per teacher, and 37.5% of its teachers were on continuing contracts.On May 10, 2018, the South Carolina Public Charter School District voted to revoke SC Science Academy's charter, closing the school at the end of the year.

Debruhl-Marshall House is a historic home located in Columbia, South Carolina. It was built in 1820, and is a two-story, five bay, brick Greek Revival style dwelling. It has a gabled slate roof and full basement. The front facade features a three bay portico supported by four massive Doric order columns.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972. It is located in the Columbia Historic District II.

Ladson Presbyterian Church is a historic African American Presbyterian church located at 1720 Sumter Street in Columbia, South Carolina. The religious building was initially a chapel founded in 1838 and, rebuilt in 1896, and is a one-story-over-raised-basement, rectangular red brick building in the Renaissance Revival style. It has a front gable roof and features two brick entrance towers. The congregation was founded in 1838, as an offshoot congregation of the First Presbyterian Church.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

They were built between the early-19th century and the 1930s (majority between 1900 and 1918) and are now mostly used for commercial purposes. The buildings are in the Greek Revival, Gothic Revival, Classical Revival, and the “Columbia Cottage” styles. Notable buildings include the Robert Mills House, Debruhl-Marshall House, Hampton-Preston House, Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, Crawford-Clarkson House, Maxcy Gregg House, Hale-Elmore-Seibels House, St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and Ebenezer Lutheran Church.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1971. It was enlarged in 1982, and underwent a boundary adjustment in 2018.

The Modjeska Monteith Simkins House is a historic place of the civil rights movement. The house, which was owned by Modjeska Monteith Simkins, is located at 2025 Marion Street in Columbia, South Carolina. On March 25, 1994, it was named to the National Register of Historic Places.

Jefferson Square, an office complex in downtown Columbia, South Carolina, is the headquarters of the state's Department of Health and Human Services which oversees the Medicaid program for South Carolinians. Located at 1801 Main St. in the city's historic Arsenal Hill neighborhood, the complex includes a 15-story, 150,000 sq ft (14,000 m2) office tower and a two-story courtyard plaza. It was built in 1913–14, and is a three-story, terra cotta faced building with large areas of glass on the upper floors.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places as the Building at 1722–1724 Main Street in 1979.

The Greyhound Bus Depot is a former Greyhound Lines intercity bus station in Columbia, South Carolina. It is at 1200 Blanding Street in downtown Columbia. The depot was named to the National Register of Historic Places on December 28, 1989. After the bus terminal was closed, the building became a bank. Currently, it is a physician's office.

The J. Bratton Davis United States Bankruptcy Courthouse is a courthouse of the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina, located in Columbia, South Carolina. It was originally constructed in 1936, under the supervision of architect Harold Tatum. The courthouse is named for J. Bratton Davis, a bankruptcy judge first appointed in 1978 who later became Chief Judge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of South Carolina, and he served in that capacity until 2000. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, having been added to the list on March 2, 1979.
