Little Klickitat Falls

Wahkiacus is an unincorporated community in Klickitat County, Washington, United States. Wahkiacus is located on Washington State Route 142 3 miles (4.8 km) east-northeast of Klickitat. Wahkiacus has a post office with ZIP code 98670.

Eightmile Creek Falls is a waterfall that flows from Eightmile Creek, just before it washes into the Columbia River, approximately 450 feet above sea level, located in the U.S. state of Washington. Shortly downstream Eightmile Creek takes a sharp turn around a canyon bend before emptying in the Columbia River. Eightmile Creek is located north of State Route 14 East of Horesthief Lake along the Columbia River Gorge. There's a viewpoint just east of the Access Road off Route 14. Eightmile Creek Falls spills over rimrock into a narrow slot canyon that becomes dry in the late season.

Columbia Hills State Park is a Washington state park located 6 miles (9.7 km) east of Dallesport on SR 14 in Klickitat County. The park occupies 3,338 acres (1,351 ha) on Horsethief Lake, an impoundment of the Columbia River, and was created in 2003 with the merger of Horsethief Lake State Park and Dalles Mountain Ranch.

Doug's Beach State Park is a public recreation area in the Columbia River Gorge lying three miles (4.8 km) east of Lyle in Klickitat County, Washington. The state park occupies 379 acres (153 ha) along Washington State Route 14 at one of the premier windsurfing sites on the Columbia River. The park also offers picnicking, fishing, and swimming.

Celilo Canal was a canal in Oregon connecting two points of the Columbia River, just east of The Dalles. In the natural state of the Columbia River, there was an 8-mile (13 km) stretch from The Dalles to Celilo Falls that was impassable upstream and navigable downstream only at high water and at great risk. Celilo Canal was built in the early part of the 1900s to allow steamboat and river-borne traffic to bypass that stretch.

The Columbia Gorge Discovery Center & Museum is the official interpretive center and history museum about the Columbia River Gorge located on 54 acres (22 ha) in The Dalles, Oregon. Opened in 1997, the 48,200-square-foot (4,480 m2) Center features exhibits about the area's geology, Ice Age prehistory, Native American culture and basketry, exploration by Lewis and Clark and others on the Oregon Trail, settlement, transportation and natural history. The Wasco County Historical Museum is a 17,200 square-foot exhibit wing which tells the history of the people of Wasco County, Oregon. The center also offers live raptor programs, a research library, meeting rooms, auditorium, gift shop and cafe. The site includes a handicap accessible paved interpretive trail with vistas of the Columbia River Gorge and the Klickitat Hills.

Mayer State Park is a state park in the Columbia River Gorge, near Rowena, Oregon in Wasco County in the U.S. state of Oregon. It consists of several disjointed parcels of transected by Interstate 84 and the tracks of the Union Pacific Railroad. The south-easternmost parcel includes the Rowena Loops, a series of horseshoe curves by which the Historic Columbia River Highway (U.S. Route 30) climbs to the Rowena Crest, where there is an overlook, from the community of Rowena.

Columbia Gorge Regional Airport (IATA: DLS, ICAO: KDLS, FAA LID: DLS), also referred to as The Dalles Municipal Airport, is a public use airport in Klickitat County in the U.S. state of Washington. It is located near Dallesport, Washington and two nautical miles (4 km) northeast of the city of The Dalles in the state of Oregon. The airport is jointly owned by the city of The Dalles and Klickitat County. It is adjacent to the Columbia River, near the east end of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. This airport is included in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015, which categorized it as a general aviation facility.

Fifteenmile Creek is a 54-mile (87 km) long tributary of the Columbia River in the U.S. state of Oregon. It drains 373 square miles (966 km2) of Hood River and Wasco counties. Arising in the Cascade Range near Mount Hood, it flows northeast then west to its confluence with the Columbia near The Dalles. It was named "fifteenmile" because in pioneer days the main road crossed the creek about fifteen miles (24 km) from The Dalles.
