Columbia City Hall (South Carolina)

The J. Bratton Davis United States Bankruptcy Courthouse is a courthouse of the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina, located in Columbia, South Carolina. It was originally constructed in 1936, under the supervision of architect Harold Tatum. The courthouse is named for J. Bratton Davis, a bankruptcy judge first appointed in 1978 who later became Chief Judge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of South Carolina, and he served in that capacity until 2000. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, having been added to the list on March 2, 1979.

The Bouchier Building is a historic commercial building located in Columbia, South Carolina. It was built in 1913–14, and is a three-story, terra cotta faced building with large areas of glass on the upper floors.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places as the Building at 1722–1724 Main Street in 1979.

Columbia Historic District I is a national historic district located in the Arsenal Hill neighborhood at Columbia, South Carolina. The district encompasses nine contributing buildings and includes a complex of fine mansions and attractive homes built before the American Civil War. The buildings are in the Greek Revival, Italianate, Classical Revival, and the “Columbia Cottage” styles. They include the Governor's Mansion, Caldwell-Hampton-Boylston House, Lace House, and Palmetto Iron Works and Armory.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.

Jefferson Square, an office complex in downtown Columbia, South Carolina, is the headquarters of the state's Department of Health and Human Services which oversees the Medicaid program for South Carolinians. Located at 1801 Main St. in the city's historic Arsenal Hill neighborhood, the complex includes a 15-story, 150,000 sq ft (14,000 m2) office tower and a two-story courtyard plaza. Also on the Jefferson Square block (bordered by Laurel, Assembly, Richland, and Main) are the offices of Wilson-Kibler real estate, two parking garages, a parking lot, and the Arsenal Hill Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church.

Sidney Park Colored Methodist Episcopal Church, also known as Sidney Park Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, is a historic Methodist Episcopal church located at Columbia, South Carolina. It was built in 1893, and is a brick Late Gothic Revival style church. It features the only set of octagonal towers in Columbia; each is topped by an octagonal steeple. The church also has lancet windows and pointed arches, wall buttresses, and a heavy timber truss system. The African-American congregation has a long history of involvement with civil rights activity and connection with the NAACP.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.

The Building at 1644 Main Street, also known as Tapp's Department Store, is a historic commercial building located at Columbia, South Carolina. It was built in 1940, and enlarged in 1950. It is a five- to seven-story, Depression Modern building faced in stucco and dark tremolite stone. Above the main entrance is a distinctive clock face and a sign with large freestanding letters. Tapp's Department Store closed in 1995. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

The Greyhound Bus Depot is a former Greyhound Lines intercity bus station in Columbia, South Carolina. It is at 1200 Blanding Street in downtown Columbia. The depot was named to the National Register of Historic Places on December 28, 1989. After the bus terminal was closed, the building became a bank. Currently, it is a physician's office.

Ladson Presbyterian Church is a historic African American Presbyterian church located at 1720 Sumter Street in Columbia, South Carolina. The religious building was initially a chapel founded in 1838 and, rebuilt in 1896, and is a one-story-over-raised-basement, rectangular red brick building in the Renaissance Revival style. It has a front gable roof and features two brick entrance towers. The congregation was founded in 1838, as an offshoot congregation of the First Presbyterian Church.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

Lever Building is a historic commercial building located at Columbia, South Carolina. It was built in 1903, and is a three-story building faced with brown brick and terra cotta.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Efird's Department Store, also known as Lourie's Department Store, is a historic department store building located at Columbia, South Carolina. It was built about 1870, and is a rectangular brick building renovated and expanded in 1919. This included the addition of a third story and the installation of a new brick façade and store entrances. Between 1919 and 1958, it housed the Columbia branch of the Charlotte, North Carolina based Efird's Department Store chain. It currently houses a Mast General Store, which moved in on May 25, 2011. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.

Ebenezer Lutheran Chapel is a historic Lutheran chapel located in Columbia, South Carolina. It was built in 1830, and rebuilt in 1870, while the restoration took place in 1993 and is a brick church that was extensively renovated in 1900. The front façade features two square towers and finely detailed art glass windows. Adjacent to the church is a Lutheran cemetery which dates to the early 1800s.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

The Basilica of St. Peter, also known as St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, is located at 1529 Assembly St. in Columbia, South Carolina. This is the second building of the oldest Catholic parish in Columbia and the Midlands of South Carolina. On June 24, 2018, it was announced that the Vatican's Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments issued a decree granting Saint Peter's Catholic Church in Columbia the title ‘Minor Basilica.’ This makes the church the first basilica in South Carolina.The St. Peter's Church was listed the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.The first resident Catholic priest came to Columbia in 1820. St. Peter's first church, designed by the South Carolina architect Robert Mills, was completed in 1824. This church was demolished in the early 1900s to build the new sanctuary. The new church was designed by Frank Pierce Milburn, a Southern architect. The planning and fundraising was done largely by Father Thomas J. Hegarty. Construction started in 1906 and was completed in 1908. The dedication was in January 1909. The Gothic Revival church was built with dark red brick with Bedford limestone and dull glazed terra cotta trim. The roof was Buckingham Slate. The spire is topped with a cross and is 163 ft (49.7 m) above grade. The church has a cruciform plan with a high nave. It is 131 ft (40 m) long and 79 ft (24.1 m) wide. The nave is 64 ft (19.5 m) long and 51 ft (15.6 m) tall. The 3,500 lb (1,591 kg), 55 in (1.4 m) diameter bell was cast in 1911 by McShane Bell Foundry in Baltimore, Maryland. The church graveyard is to the rear of the church.
