Davie Shipbuilding is a historic shipbuilding company located in Lauzon, Quebec, Canada. The facility is now operating as Chantier Davie Canada Inc. and is the oldest continually operating shipbuilder in North America.

Marie-Josephte Corriveau (1733 at Saint-Vallier, Quebec – (1763-04-18)April 18, 1763 at Quebec City), better known as "la Corriveau", is a well-known figure in Québécois folklore. She lived in New France, and was sentenced to death by a British court martial for the murder of her second husband, was hanged for it and her body hanged in chains. Her story has become a legend in Quebec, and she is the subject of many books and plays.

The Lévis Forts were a series of three forts located on the South Shore of the Saint Lawrence River in Lévis, Quebec, Canada. They were at shooting distance of one another which allowed the defense of a wide area without the cost of a continuous defensive wall. The first one was built (1865-1872) by the British Army and the other ones by private businesses (1865-1869). The costs were almost identical for all three, ranging from 57,600 to 59,762 pounds. During the American Civil War, Great Britain claimed to remain neutral in the conflict. However, the cotton directly imported from the south of the United States still had a great importance in the British textile industry. Following the Civil War, the British were still expecting an American invasion of Canada. The tense political relationship between Austria and Prussia had the British worried about their wood supply, if the access to the Baltic Sea was blocked. The Canadian forests would then be used as Great Britain's main wood supply. Lieutenant-Colonel William Jervois was sent to Canada to establish the Canadian defence plan. He suggested that detached forts be built on Pointe-Lévy, on the south shore of Quebec City. The original plans recommended 5 forts, of which 3 were actually built. None of the three were ever occupied as they were no longer considered necessary after the signing of the Treaty of Washington in 1871.

Beauport is a borough of Quebec City, Quebec, Canada on the Saint Lawrence River. Beauport is a northeastern suburb of Quebec City. Manufacturers include paint, construction materials, printers, and hospital supplies. Food transportation is important to the economy. Attractions include Parc de la Chute-Montmorency (Montmorency Falls Park), which contains a fortification built in 1759 by James Wolfe and Manoir Montmorency, the home from 1791 to 1794 of Prince Edward, Duke of Kent and Strathearn. The city's historic district contains many interesting churches and homes, including Bélanger-Girardin House, a National Historic Site of Canada where visitors can learn about Beauport's heritage. Lévis station (also known as Gare fluviale de Lévis and as Gare de l'Intercolonial) is a ferry terminal and former railway station in Lévis, Quebec, Canada at 5995, rue Saint-Laurent. It is also served by city buses operated by the Société de transport de Lévis. The Société des traversiers du Québec operates ferry service between this terminal and downtown Quebec City.The station was built in 1864 as a meeting room for Lévis' city council. In 1884, it was purchased the Intercolonial Railway for use as a station, and was later used by Canadian National and Via Rail trains until CN abandoned its railway line in downtown Lévis. The final Via Rail from the station operated October 24, 1998. Today, the building serves as a ferry terminal, and also houses a bicycle rental facility and tourist information centre.The former railway right-of-way is now a bicycle trail.

The surface of the Saint-Charles River (except the rapids areas) is generally frozen from the beginning of December to the end of March; however, safe circulation on the ice is generally done from the end of December to the beginning of March. The water level of the river varies with the seasons and the precipitation; the spring flood occurs in March or April.

The Arena Marcel Bedard is a multi-purpose arena in Beauport, Quebec. It has a capacity of 2,000 people. It hosted the Beauport Harfangs ice hockey team. Its surname is 'La petite cabane' (the little shack) in honour of Beauport's colourful coach, Jos Canale.

It has 106 stores and its floor area is 526,734 square feet (48,935.2 m2).After its opening in 1974, it was expanded in 1985 and renovated in 2000 and 2006. In 2008, the Westcliff Group purchased the property from Cadillac Fairview.According to a 2006 study, the mall was one of six regional or larger malls in the Quebec metropolitan area, but the only one located south of the Saint Lawrence River. In 2012, the mall had 4.8 million visitors.

Lévis (French pronunciation: [levi] (listen)) is a city in eastern Quebec, Canada, located on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River, opposite Quebec City. A ferry links Old Quebec with Old Lévis, and two bridges, the Quebec and the Pierre-Laporte, connect western Lévis with Quebec City. The population in July 2017 was 144,147. Its current incarnation was founded on January 1, 2002, as the result of a merger among ten cities, including the older city of Lévis founded in 1861. Lévis is also the name of a territory equivalent to a regional county municipality (TE) and census division (CD) of Quebec, coextensive with the city of Lévis. Its geographical code is 25 as a census division, and 251 as an RCM-equivalent territory.

Sainte-Pétronille is a village municipality in the L'Île-d'Orléans Regional County Municipality in the Capitale-Nationale region of Quebec, Canada. It is situated on the south-western tip of Orléans Island, facing Quebec City. Former notable residents include the Boswell family, who owned the Boswell Brewery in Quebec City from 1843 to 1952, and painter Horatio Walker, whose workshop remains.
