Podsused – Vrapče is one of the districts of Zagreb, Croatia. It is located in the north-western part of the city. In 2011, the district had 45,759 inhabitants. Its area is 36.188 km2.

Jankomir (Croatian pronunciation: [ˈjɑŋkomiːr]) is a neighborhood in Zagreb, Croatia. It is located in the Stenjevec city district in the western part of the city, and is officially referred to as "Stenjevec - jug", with an area of 824.34 ha (2,037.0 acres) and a population of 8,072.Jankomir is regarded citywide as a shopping destination since it houses several shopping centers. Its main arterial roads are Velimir Škorpik Road, Ljubljanska Avenue and Zagrebačka Avenue. Before the advent of the shopping centers Jankomir was mostly known for the nearby Jankomir interchange, a major interchange of the Zagreb bypass and Ljubljanska Avenue. Jankomir is also home to a psychiatric hospital of the same name.

Stenjevec is one of the districts of Zagreb, Croatia. It is located in the western part of the city and has 61 000 inhabitants (as of 2011).

Javornica kod Bizeka is the second longest cave on the Medvednica massif, at 330 m: 12  or 306 m,: 75  depending on the method of measurement. It is adjacent to the Bizek rock quarry, which endangered and partly destroyed it.: 38 

King Cross Jankomir is a shopping centre located in Zagreb, Croatia, on Velimir Škorpik Street 34 in the neighbourhood of Jankomir. It was financed by Coimpredil and Coop Consumatori Nordest and opened on 21 September 2002. The shopping centre has a gross area of 110,000 m2 (1,200,000 sq ft), 43,000 m2 (460,000 sq ft) of which is covered, and 29,000 m2 (310,000 sq ft) of retail space. At the time of its opening, it was the largest shopping centre in Croatia. The shopping centre cost €67 million to build, and its investors partly funded the upgrade of the adjoining road infrastructure.The shopping centre suffered a 20% loss in revenue and was rumoured to be the first centre in the city to close (and possibly be converted into a warehouse) due to the late 2000s recession. Nevertheless, it remained in business.

Veternica is a cave located on the Medvednica mountain, north of Zagreb, Croatia. It is 5,996 metres (19,672 ft) long, and the first 380 m (1,250 ft) is available to visitors. It is an archeological site where remains of several kinds of prehistoric animals as well as humans have been found. The cave has been protected by law since 1979.

Velebitaška jama, also known as Batinova jama or Jama na Jazbinjaku, is the deepest pit cave and second deepest cave on the Medvednica massif behind Veternica, at 45 m, at one point the deepest.: 30  It is located in an area with many pit caves, but is one of the largest among these,: 26  with a complex horizontal and vertical morphology that brings the total length of the cave to 95 m.: 31  It has been described as the "most significant" pit cave on its massif.: 31  The cave is under special protection, and is closed to the public.: 106 

Ljubljanska Avenue is one of the most travelled thoroughfares in Zagreb, Croatia. It is a four-lane divided avenue that runs from the Savska Opatovina rotary (located in the western part of the Trešnjevka - sjever district) in the east to the Jankomir interchange with the Zagreb bypass in the west. The road uses the recently upgraded Jankomir bridge over the Sava river and it is fully grade-separated. The Ljubljanska used to start further east, at the intersection with the Savska Road in the outer city center, but the recently renovated part between Savska Road and Savska Opatovina was renamed to Zagrebačka Avenue.

The Jankomir interchange (Croatian: Čvor Jankomir) is a cloverleaf interchange west of Zagreb, Croatia. It is named after nearby Zagreb neighborhood of Jankomir. The interchange represents the southern terminus of the A2 motorway and it connects the A2 route to the A3 motorway representing major a link in the Croatian motorway system. The interchange is a part of Pan-European corridors X and Xa. It also represents a junction of European routes E59 and E70.Construction of the interchange marked start of construction of the A3 motorway in its present form. In 1979, it became a part of the first six-lane (including emergency lanes) section, constructed as a part of the Zagreb bypass—5.85-kilometre (3.64 mi) section connecting the Jankomir and Lučko interchanges. At the time of construction, the interchange connected the new Zagreb bypass to former Brotherhood and Unity Highway which linked Zagreb to Slovenian border and a two-lane road to Krapina. The former was subsequently upgraded to become a part of the A3 motorway (west of the interchange) and Ž1035—four-lane connector to Zagreb, while the latter was upgraded and became the A2 motorway.

Vrapče (pronounced [ʋrǎptʃe]) is a neighborhood of western Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. It is administratively part of the district Podsused—Vrapče. Vrapče consists of Donje Vrapče (lit. Lower Vrapče) and Gornje Vrapče (lit. Upper Vrapče). Gornje Vrapče is an eponymous local administrative unit, while the other is called Vrapče - centar.The population of Vrapče is not recorded separately from the rest of the district, which has a total population of 45,759. The population of Gornje Vrapče is 4,469, while the population of Vrapče - centar is 7,634.The football team NK Vrapče plays in this neighbourhood.

Bijele sige, also known as Bjele sige jama and Jama bijele sige,: 328  is a 27 m deep pit cave with horizontal extensions on the Medvednica massif.: 24  It is located in an area with many pit caves, but is one of the largest among these,: 26  and is distinguished by complex horizontal passages, which bring the total length of the cave to 94 m.: 27  The cave is under special protection, and is closed to the public.: 106 

The Krapina is a Croatian river flowing through Krapina-Zagorje County and Zagreb County. It is a tributary to the Sava. The confluence of the Krapina River and the Sava River is near Zaprešić. Its length is 66.9 km (41.6 mi) and its basin covers an area of 1,237 km2 (478 sq mi).The hydrological parameters of Krapina are regularly monitored in Croatia at Zlatar Bistrica, Bračak and Kupljenovo.The name "Krapina" is supposed to come from Latin word "carpinus" (of the carp). Another theory is that it comes from Proto-Indo-European *(s)ker (to cut) and *h2ep (water), so that it means "the water that cuts through the valley".
