Mixcoac from Nahuatl means "viper in the cloud" is an archaeological zone belonging to the Mexica (Aztec) culture. It was on the shores of Lake Texcoco and in its final stage was under the rule of Tenochtitlan. With the arrival of the Spanish conquistadors, the settlement was practically destroyed to its foundations, which are the only thing that survives of the architecture of the place and can be appreciated today in what is today the San Pedro de los Pinos neighborhood, on the corner of San Antonio avenue and Periférico, in Mexico City. The name Mixcoac, viper of the cloud, could be understood as a representation of the celestial serpent or Milky Way. The occupation of this archaeological area is estimated to have occurred from 900 BC to 1521 AD.

San Antonio is a metro station on Line 7 of the Mexico City Metro. It is located in the Benito Juárez borough. In 2019, the station had an average ridership of 14,502 passengers per day.

The 32nd federal electoral district of the Federal District (Distrito electoral federal 32 del Distrito Federal) is a defunct federal electoral district of Mexico. Occupying a portion of what is today Mexico City, it was in existence from 1978 to 1996. During that time, it returned one deputy to the Chamber of Deputies for each three-year legislative session by means of the first-past-the-post system, electing its first in the 1979 mid-terms and its last in the 1994 general election. Votes cast in the district also counted towards the calculation of proportional representation ("plurinominal") deputies elected from the country's electoral regions. The 31st to 40th districts were abolished in the Federal Electoral Institute's 1996 redistricting process because the capital's population no longer warranted that number of seats in Congress.

Tacubaya is a working-class area of west-central Mexico City, in the borough of Miguel Hidalgo, consisting of the colonia Tacubaya proper and adjacent areas in other colonias, with San Miguel Chapultepec sección II, Observatorio, Daniel Garza and Ampliación Daniel Garza being also considered part of Tacubaya.The area has been inhabited since the fifth century BCE. Its name comes from Nahuatl, meaning “where water is gathered.” From the colonial period to the beginning of the 20th century, Tacubaya was an separate entity to Mexico City and many of the city’s wealthy, including viceroys, built residences here to enjoy the area’s scenery. From the mid-19th century on, Tacubaya began to urbanize both due to the growth of Mexico City and the growth of its own population. Along with this urbanization, the area has degraded into one of the poorer sections of the city and contains the “La Ciudad Perdida” (The Lost City), a shantytown where people live in shacks of cardboard and other materials. Many of the mansions that were built here in the 19th century remain, such as the Casa Amarilla and Casa de la Bola, but most Mexico City residents are familiar with it due to its transportation hub on Avenida Jalisco where the Metro, Metrobus and many street buses all converge.This area was designated as a "Barrio Mágico" by the city in 2011.

The Plaza de toros México, situated in Mexico City, is the world's largest bullring. This 41,262-seat facility is usually dedicated to bullfighting, but many boxing matches have been held there as well, including Julio César Chávez's third bout with Frankie Randall. The Plaza México replaced the ancient bullring Toreo de la Condesa in the Condesa neighborhood that was overwhelmed by the rapid growth of population in the capital. It opened on 5 February 1946 and annually since then, that date marks the date of the Corrida de Aniversario. This building was built beside the football stadium Estadio Ciudad de los Deportes (formerly Estadio Azul).

Estadio Ciudad de los Deportes (English: “Sports City Stadium”; formerly Estadio Azul) is a 33,000-seat stadium located in Ciudad de los Deportes, Mexico City. This sports facility is used for association football matches and for American football as well. The Tazón México has been played at the stadium. It was the home of Mexican football club Cruz Azul until 2018, hence the previous nickname of Estadio Azul, and the Mexico national football team, especially in the early 1990s. In summer 2016, it was announced by Mexico City authorities that plans to demolish the stadium would begin at the end of the 2017-2018 Liga MX season. However, in July 2018, the demolition project was put on hold. It is presently the home of Atlante F.C. The stadium was dubbed again with the nickname Estadio Azulgrana which it previously held during the 1980s and 1990s due to the fact that it was the home of Atlante F.C., whose club colors are blue and garnet. Both times Mexico hosted the World Cup, Estadio Azul did not host matches mainly due to the age of the structure, bad parking facilities, and complex traffic patterns. A peculiarity of this stadium is that it is built as a pit with the playing field is below street level. Just beside the stadium is the Plaza México, the world's largest bullring.

Escandón is one of the colonias of Mexico City that were founded at the beginning of the 19th century on crop terrains that were formerly part of the haciendas. This colony formed part of the Hacienda de la Condesa, being property of the family Escandón, who fractionated the terrains situated south of this. The colony is divided in two: Escandón I and Escandón II, because of its big extension. The first section is located from the Patriotismo Avenue and confines with the Tacubaya neighborhood; whereas the second section extends from the Viaducto Miguel Alemán and confines with the Condesa Neighborhood. Escandón II has greater economic and social success than its homologous. The colony still preserves some of the constructions that were built in the first half of the 20th century, particularly from architectural styles as: art decó, colonial Californian, and the neocolonial. At the north, given the vicinity to the Tacubaya neighborhood, some examples of constructions that correspond to the architecture ecléctica can be appreciated. The greater part of the buildings constructed around the middle of the 20th century correspond to apartment buildings. As many other colonies founded in the first half of the 20th century, Escandón has several services and businesses that aim to attend the local population; some examples of this are the Jardín Morelos park and the market established in front of it. In recent times, the neighborhood has experimented a development in real-estate activities because it is near neighborhoods of medium-high economic levels, like Condesa, Roma, Nápoles and del Valle.

Álvaro Obregón is a future station of the Mexico City Metro in the borough of Álvaro Obregón, Mexico City. It will be an underground station with two side platforms, served by Line 12 (the Golden Line), between Observatorio and Valentín Campa stations. It will serve the colonias of Tolteca and Cristo Rey.The station will be named after the borough, which in turn was named after the 46th president of Mexico, Álvaro Obregón Salido. The expansion of Line 12 was approved in March 2013 and started in April 2016, and the station is expected to open in December 2023. The station was formerly known as "Alta Tensión" and "Olivar del Conde". Like the rest of the line, Álvaro Obregón station will be accessible.

The World Trade Center Mexico City, also still commonly called by its former name, Hotel de México, is a building complex located in the wealthy neighborhood of Colonia Nápoles in central Mexico City, Mexico. Its most famous and recognizable feature is the 50-story, 207 m (670 ft) high Torre WTC, the biggest building in the constructed area. It is the third tallest building in Mexico City when including its antenna and the fourth largest when measured by its 191m (587ft) roof height. When talking about the World Trade Center México, one usually is referring to the uniquely shaped tower. The complex also includes a convention center, cultural center, parking facilities, a multi-screen cinema, a revolving 45th-floor luxury restaurant, and a shopping center with Sears (originally opened as a JCPenney, the first location outside the USA) as an anchor tenant. It will also include a 22-floor hotel, which is currently under construction. Located on Avenida de los Insurgentes, the complex is served by the Polyforum station of the Metrobús Bus rapid transit system, located a few meters away. The station is named after the Polyforum Cultural Siqueiros, a part of the WTC complex.

The Hotel de México was to have been the largest hotel in the Americas, a huge project started by the entrepreneur Manuel Suárez y Suárez in 1966 in Mexico City, Mexico. The project ran out of control and was never completed. After Suárez died in 1987 it stood unfinished for several years before being converted into an office building named the World Trade Center.

Tacubaya is a station on Lines 1, 7 and 9 of the Mexico City Metro system. It is located in the Miguel Hidalgo borough, west of the city centre. In 2019, the station had a total average ridership of 85,800 passengers per day, making it the fifth busiest station in the network.
