Sloane Avenue is a road in London. Sloane Avenue runs roughly north-west to south-east from Brompton Road in Kensington to a junction with Elystan Place and Bray Place, and its short southern continuation, Anderson Street, joins the King's Road in Chelsea. From 1908, the road, hitherto known as Keppel Street was renamed and widened.Notable apartment buildings include Sloane Avenue Mansions and Nell Gwynn House, both designed by G. Kay Green.

The Shuckburgh Arms is a Grade II listed public house on the corner of Denyer Street and Milner Street, Chelsea, London.It was built in the mid-19th century, but the architect is not known. English Heritage have noted its "unspoilt condition".The Shuckburgh Arms closed after several drug raids and has since become a branch of the "Baker & Spice" delicatessen chain.

10 Milner Street, also known as Stanley House is a Grade II listed house in Milner Street, Chelsea, London, England. It is a double-fronted house in an Italianate style, and was built by the Chelsea speculator John Todd in 1855, for his own occupation.It was later home to Sir Courtenay Ilbert.From 1945, his nephew, the interior designer Michael Inchbald lived there, and continued to do so after Ibert's death.In 1960, the Inchbald School of Design was founded in the basement by his wife Jacqueline Ann Duncan (then Jacqueline Inchbald). The Inchbald School was founded in the old ground floor drawing room, which once housed the Ilbert Collection of clocks, watches, marine chronometers and sundials. It has been Grade II listed since 1969.

Hung On You was a London fashion boutique, run by the designer Michael Rainey, particularly known for flowery shirts and kipper ties in bold colours. Rainey's customers included the Rolling Stones, The Beatles, The Kinks and the actor Terence Stamp.The shop opened at 22 Cale Street, London, with a mural by Michael English. It later relocated to 430 King's Road, Chelsea. Regular customers included Sir Mark Palmer, and the models from his male modelling agency English Boy. Rainey sold the lease to the boutique in 1969 to Tommy Roberts and Trevor Myles, and it became Mr Freedom.His then wife, Jane Ormsby Gore, in a 2006 interview with the Victoria & Albert Museum, said: "Michael made the most gigantic mistake of leaving Cale Street and going onto the King's Road. He felt that it was happening on the King's Road, but it cost a lot of money to move, and people didn't know where we were. It became less successful then. Before it was slightly more slick, with a big jardinière mirrored thing in the middle of the shop. We had got two children by then, and we were seriously into soul seeking and going on fasts and meditating… We left London, sold everything, gave away everything, and went to live in Gozo. London times and everything were over."

Markham Square is a garden square in Chelsea, London. It was laid out in 1836. The square is accessed from the King's Road. A Congregational chapel that stood at the north end of the square was demolished in 1953.The 1965 TV special The Incredible World of James Bond filmed at Markham Square for fictional secret agent James Bond's flat. In 2008, the square was the scene of a police siege after a resident (Mark Saunders, a lawyer) opened fire with a shotgun from a kitchen window. After a five-hour standoff, the gunman was shot dead by police.

Elystan Street is a London restaurant co-owned by chef patron Phil Howard and Rebecca Mascarenhas. Howard and Mascarenhas established the restaurant on 27 September 2016, six months after Howard sold and left his previous restaurant The Square. Elystan Street earned its first Michelin star in October 2017 and has retained it since.

Tom Aikens was a London Michelin-starred fine dining restaurant operated by the eponymous chef from April 2003 opening to January 2014 closure. The restaurant received mostly positive critical reception.

The Markham Arms is a former pub at 138 King's Road, London SW3. It closed as a pub in the early 1990s, and is now a branch of the Santander bank.It is a Grade II listed building, built in the mid-19th century.

Brompton, sometimes called Old Brompton, survives in name as a ward in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea in London. Until the latter half of the 19th century it was a scattered village made up mostly of market gardens in the county of Middlesex. It lay south-east of the village of Kensington, abutting the parish of St Margaret's, Westminster at the hamlet of Knightsbridge to the north-east, with Little Chelsea to the south. It was bisected by the Fulham Turnpike, the main road westward out of London to the ancient parish of Fulham and on to Putney and Surrey. It saw its first parish church, Holy Trinity Brompton, only in 1829. Today the village has been comprehensively eclipsed by segmentation due principally to railway development culminating in London Underground lines, and its imposition of station names, including Knightsbridge, South Kensington and Gloucester Road as the names of stops during accelerated urbanisation, but lacking any cogent reference to local history and usage or distinctions from neighbouring settlements.Brompton has been home to many writers, actors and intellectuals. The Survey of London gives a long list. Its name survives formally to this day, only just, in the shared reference to two of the council's electoral wards called, "Brompton" and "Hans Town".

St Thomas More Language College is a Roman Catholic secondary school in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. It is named after Thomas More who was beheaded by King Henry VIII when Lord Chancellor. Saint Thomas More lived in the Chelsea borough which is where the school is now located. Education for boys and girls has been provided at the school since 1845. The first foundation in 1885 was for 200 pupils and the school has been in existence since that time. The Sisters of Mercy, who ran a boarding school, decided to move from the site in 1954 so that the school could be modernised to accommodate 249 pupils. The school is situated in the middle of Chelsea, a short walk from Sloane Square, and is surrounded by a wide variety of galleries and museums. Many of the buildings have now been supplemented by modern buildings which house all the facilities for a mixed, comprehensive school. The school gained Language College specialist status in September 2004. St Thomas More RC School achieved Specialist status as a Language College in 2004. There are 37 different language backgrounds in college. These languages range across Europe, South America and Africa. The largest contingents are Portuguese, Spanish, Filipino and Eritrean. The Chelsea Classic Cinema was a cinema originally opened in 1913 as the Chelsea Picture Playhouse, in the King's Road, Chelsea. It was designed by Felix Joubert, the cabinet maker and owner of The Pheasantry next door at number 152. It was built on land previously occupied by Box Farm (built in 1686 and demolished in 1899). On the western corner of Markham Street, it was initially opened by the London & Provincial Electric Theatre Company in 1913 with seating for 394 on a single floor. In the 1920s it was known as the Electric Theatre. By 1937 it had been taken over by Classic Cinemas Ltd, who specialised in repertory screenings of classic Hollywood films, and was renamed the Classic Cinema, when the facade was reduced in height and given a 'modern' look which it kept until it closed on 4 August 1973. It was the venue for The Rocky Horror Show four weeks after it had opened in London (at the Royal Court Theatre Upstairs), playing for three months. After the run ended, the building was demolished, replaced by a branch of Boots the Chemist in 1973.
