Tom Aikens was a London Michelin-starred fine dining restaurant operated by the eponymous chef from April 2003 opening to January 2014 closure. The restaurant received mostly positive critical reception.

Hung On You was a London fashion boutique, run by the designer Michael Rainey, particularly known for flowery shirts and kipper ties in bold colours. Rainey's customers included the Rolling Stones, The Beatles, The Kinks and the actor Terence Stamp.The shop opened at 22 Cale Street, London, with a mural by Michael English. It later relocated to 430 King's Road, Chelsea. Regular customers included Sir Mark Palmer, and the models from his male modelling agency English Boy. Rainey sold the lease to the boutique in 1969 to Tommy Roberts and Trevor Myles, and it became Mr Freedom.His then wife, Jane Ormsby Gore, in a 2006 interview with the Victoria & Albert Museum, said: "Michael made the most gigantic mistake of leaving Cale Street and going onto the King's Road. He felt that it was happening on the King's Road, but it cost a lot of money to move, and people didn't know where we were. It became less successful then. Before it was slightly more slick, with a big jardinière mirrored thing in the middle of the shop. We had got two children by then, and we were seriously into soul seeking and going on fasts and meditating… We left London, sold everything, gave away everything, and went to live in Gozo. London times and everything were over."

Cale Street is a street in Chelsea, London. It runs between Dovehouse Street in the west and the junction of Elystan Street and Elystan Place in the east. It originally formed the southern boundary of Chelsea Common. The street was laid out in 1836, and was called Bond Street at the western end and College Place at the eastern but was later renamed Cale Street in honour of Judith Cale, a benefactor to the parish.

The Grabowski Gallery was an avant-garde art gallery opened in 1959 in London's Chelsea by Mateusz Grabowski, anticipating the Swinging Sixties. It hosted some of the earliest shows of the rising pop art movement and was the first venue in London to bring op art to the public. It launched the careers of some of Britain's and the British Commonwealth's leading exponents of two- and three-dimensional art and fostered émigré artists from Europe, the Caribbean and the Commonwealth. By the time it closed its doors in 1975 it had mounted around two hundred shows. When the gallery closed Mateusz Grabowski donated his collection of works from the gallery to the Museum of Art in Łódź and the National Museum in Warsaw, Poland.

Michelin House at 81 Fulham Road, Chelsea, London, was constructed as the first permanent UK headquarters and tyre depot for the Michelin Tyre Company Ltd. The building opened for business on 20 January 1911. In 1987 the building was converted to mixed-use, with a store, restaurant, bar and office space.

Sloane Avenue is a road in London. Sloane Avenue runs roughly north-west to south-east from Brompton Road in Kensington to a junction with Elystan Place and Bray Place, and its short southern continuation, Anderson Street, joins the King's Road in Chelsea. From 1908, the road, hitherto known as Keppel Street was renamed and widened.Notable apartment buildings include Sloane Avenue Mansions and Nell Gwynn House, both designed by G. Kay Green.

On Tuesday evening 18 November 1975 an Irish Republican Army (IRA) unit nicknamed the Balcombe Street Gang, without warning, threw a bomb into Walton's Restaurant in Walton Street, Knightsbridge, London, killing two people and injuring almost two dozen others.

The Parish Church of St Luke, Chelsea, is an Anglican church, on Sydney Street, Chelsea, London SW3, just off the King's Road. Ecclesiastically it is in the Deanery of Chelsea, part of the Diocese of London. It was designed by James Savage in 1819 and is of architectural significance as one of the earliest Gothic Revival churches in London, perhaps the earliest to be a complete new construction. St Luke's is one of the first group of Commissioners' churches, having received a grant of £8,333 towards its construction with money voted by Parliament as a result of the Church Building Act of 1818. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building. The gardens of St Luke's are Grade II listed on the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens.

Nell Gwynn House is a ten-storey residential building in Sloane Avenue, Chelsea, London, designed in the Art Deco style by G. Kay Green. Completed in 1937, it stands next to the same architect's Sloane Avenue Mansions, built a few years earlier.

Sydney Street is a street in Chelsea, London. It runs roughly north to south from Fulham Road to King's Road. There are numerous listed buildings in the street, including St Luke's Church, where Charles Dickens was married.The Chelsea College of Aeronautical and Automobile Engineering was at no 102, and is now Scorpio House. The Royal Brompton Hospital, the UK's largest specialist heart and lung medical centre is in Sydney Street.

Dandie Fashions or sometimes Dandy Fashions was a London fashion boutique founded in 1966, following a chance encounter at the Speakeasy Club between Freddie Hornik and Alan Holston, who then got together with Australian John Crittle, the Guinness heir Tara Browne and Neil Winterbotham, and launched the new business.Dandie Fashions opened its shop at 161 King's Road, Chelsea in October 1966. John Crittle had previously worked for Michael Rainey in his boutique Hung On You. Crittle and Tara Browne wanted a retail outlet for their new tailoring company Foster and Tara. In December 1966, Browne died in a car crash, while he was on his way to discuss shop front designs with the graphic artist David Vaughan. Crittle bought his share of the business. In this boutique Amanda Lear was arrested in 1967 by the police with drugs belonging to The Rolling Stones.Five months after opening their Apple Boutique in Baker Street (which ran from 7 December 1967 to 30 July 1968), the Beatles invested in Dandie, renaming it Apple Tailoring (Civil & Theatric). They were attracted to King's Road by the presence of the clothing boutiques Dandie, along with Granny Takes a Trip and Hung On You. Apple Tailoring opened at the same 161 King's Road premises as Dandie, on 23 May 1968. Neil Aspinall and Apple's accountant Stephen Maltz became directors. John Lennon and George Harrison attended the launch party. However, it never made a profit and closed some months later.
