Lauttasaari bridge

Helsinki Court House (Finnish: Helsingin oikeustalo) is situated on Salmisaari in Helsinki, Finland. Designed by Väinö Vähäkallio, it was constructed between 1937 and 1940 as Alko's headquarters, factory and main storage, and was partially reconstructed in 2004, when it became a court house. Stylistically the building is a modernist updating of 19th-century warehouses, massive and with slight curves and no detailing except heavily framed strip windows and rounded entrance bays.

Kaapelitehdas (Finnish for "the Cable Factory", also called simply Kaapeli, Swedish: Kabelfabriken) is a famous building in Salmisaari, Helsinki, near the Lauttasaari bridge. It was redeveloped from its industrial use into a cultural centre which hosts artists studios, three museums, activities and events.

Rumba is a sculpture by sculptor Martti Aiha, located on the Porkkalankatu street in the district of Salmisaari in Helsinki, Finland. Aiha thinks the sculpture is one of his best. Rumba is made of black-painted aluminium and is 15 metres tall. The sculpture belongs to the collection of the Helsinki Art Museum.In 1994 Rumba was awarded as the environmental artwork of the year. The prize was awarded for a collection the sculpture forms in connection with a residential building designed by Veli-Pekka Tuominen.

Salmisaari (Swedish: Sundholmen) is a small area (a sector, pienalue) belonging to the Ruoholahti quarter of the Länsisatama neighbourhood of Helsinki, Finland. The Salmisaari island was previously located west of the Helsinginniemi peninsula. However, during the early times of Länsisatama, it was annexed to the mainland by filling the sea in between. The area of Salmisaari has been named after this island. Since 1953, Salmisaari has included the Salmisaari power plant, owned by Helsingin Energia. It also has offices of Altia (Salmisaarenranta 7). The opposite half of the same building acts as the Helsinki Court House.

The Hotel and Restaurant Museum (Finnish: Hotelli- ja ravintolamuseo) specializes in the history of Finnish hotels, restaurants, cafés, tourism and culinary culture. The museum is located in Kaapelitehdas, Helsinki, Finland. The museum was first opened in 1971 but has operated in its present premises since 1993. The museums collection includes about 20,000 artifacts and other objects from restaurants, bars, diners, spas and hotels. Museum's archives include about 38,000 photographs, menus and other documents. Museum also takes care of the Alko store museum's collection.

Dance House Helsinki (Finnish: Tanssin talo, literally "the house of dance") is a theatre building under construction in the Ruoholahti district of Helsinki, Finland, next to the Kaapelitehdas building.

The Crusell Bridge (Finnish: Crusellinsilta, Swedish: Crusellbron) is a bridge in the Länsisatama district of Helsinki, Finland, crossing the Ruoholahti bay in the Baltic Sea, about 24.8 metres wide and connecting the Ruoholahti and Jätkäsaari neighbourhoods. The bridge is a 173.4 metre long cable-stayed bridge, used by light traffic, automobile traffic and the Helsinki tram line 8. The bridge was inaugurated on 14 June 2011 by Mayor Jussi Pajunen. The bridge has been named after the Finnish composer and clarinet player Bernhard Henrik Crusell.

The Lauttasaari water tower was a water tower in Lauttasaari, Helsinki, Finland from 1958 to 2015. Its volume was 4400 cubic metres,: 165  its height was 34 metres and the diameter of the upper water container was 42 metres.: 68 : 8  The water tower was decommisioned in 1996 and dismantled from October to November 2015.

Lauttis is a shopping centre in Lauttasaari, Helsinki, Finland. It was opened on 1 December 2016. Lauttis is a so-called hybrid building, where the same building houses a parking lot, a shopping centre and apartments. Lauttis has about 6000 m2 of business space and about 10000 m2 of apartments.

The Ruoholahti shopping centre is a shopping centre in the district of Ruoholahti, Helsinki, Finland. It is located in the premises of a former Alko bottling facility, where it was opened in 2003. The shopping centre includes about 20 businesses, of which the largest are K-Citymarket, K-Rauta, Tokmanni and Alko. Verkkokauppa.com, Finland's largest electronics store, was located in the shopping centre for eight years until it moved to the neighbouring district of Jätkäsaari in November 2011. The shopping centre also includes offices of several companies and various restaurants, a pharmacy and specialist stores. There is a parking garage located next to the shopping centre, with 1500 parking places. As a remnant of Alko's history in the building, there is a tunnel, closed to the general public, underneath the building leading to the Helsinki Court House. The tunnel serves as an air raid shelter.

Jätkäsaari (Swedish: Busholmen) is a peninsula and a quarter in Helsinki, the capital city of Finland. It is part to the Kampinmalmi district and Länsisatama neighbourhood. It was the location of the main container harbour in Helsinki until late 2008, when the harbour moved to the new facilities in Vuosaari. The terminal for passenger ferries to Tallinn, Estonia, remains in Länsisatama (literally West Harbour in Finnish).

Hietaniemi beach (Finnish: Hietaniemen uimaranta or Hietaranta, Swedish: Sandudds badstrand or Sandstrand; colloquially Hietsu) is a popular sand beach in central Helsinki, Finland. It is located in the Töölö district, next to the Hietaniemi Cemetery and is the most popular beach in central Helsinki. On the hill next to the beach is a stone sundial designed in 1931 by Gerda Qvist.
