Sloane Avenue Mansions

Nell Gwynn House is a ten-storey residential building in Sloane Avenue, Chelsea, London, designed in the Art Deco style by G. Kay Green. Completed in 1937, it stands next to the same architect's Sloane Avenue Mansions, built a few years earlier.

Sloane Avenue is a road in London. Sloane Avenue runs roughly north-west to south-east from Brompton Road in Kensington to a junction with Elystan Place and Bray Place, and its short southern continuation, Anderson Street, joins the King's Road in Chelsea. From 1908, the road, hitherto known as Keppel Street was renamed and widened.Notable apartment buildings include Sloane Avenue Mansions and Nell Gwynn House, both designed by G. Kay Green.

Markham Square is a garden square in Chelsea, London. It was laid out in 1836. The square is accessed from the King's Road. A Congregational chapel that stood at the north end of the square was demolished in 1953.The 1965 TV special The Incredible World of James Bond filmed at Markham Square for fictional secret agent James Bond's flat. In 2008, the square was the scene of a police siege after a resident (Mark Saunders, a lawyer) opened fire with a shotgun from a kitchen window. After a five-hour standoff, the gunman was shot dead by police.

The Shuckburgh Arms is a Grade II listed public house on the corner of Denyer Street and Milner Street, Chelsea, London.It was built in the mid-19th century, but the architect is not known. English Heritage have noted its "unspoilt condition".The Shuckburgh Arms closed after several drug raids and has since become a branch of the "Baker & Spice" delicatessen chain.

The Markham Arms is a former pub at 138 King's Road, London SW3. It closed as a pub in the early 1990s, and is now a branch of the Santander bank.It is a Grade II listed building, built in the mid-19th century.

The Chelsea Drugstore was a sleek, modern travertine and brushed steel building on the corner of Royal Avenue and King's Road, Chelsea, London. It opened in 1968. Designed by architect Antony Cloughley and designer Colin Golding of GCB Associates, and inspired by Le Drugstore on Boulevard St Germain in Paris that was designed by Slavik [1] (Wiatscheslav Vassiliev), Chelsea Drugstore was arranged over three floors and on most days remained open for up to 16 hours. Inside customers would find bars, a chemist, newsstands, record stores and other concessions. A popular service was the 'flying squad' delivery option run by the store. Those who used this service would have their purchases delivered by hand by young ladies adorned in purple catsuits arriving on flashy motorcycles. Both pub and retail shops below were open until the late 1980s. The store became a wine bar, and is now a McDonald's.

St Thomas More Language College is a Roman Catholic secondary school in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. It is named after Thomas More who was beheaded by King Henry VIII when Lord Chancellor. Saint Thomas More lived in the Chelsea borough which is where the school is now located. Education for boys and girls has been provided at the school since 1845. The first foundation in 1885 was for 200 pupils and the school has been in existence since that time. The Sisters of Mercy, who ran a boarding school, decided to move from the site in 1954 so that the school could be modernised to accommodate 249 pupils. The school is situated in the middle of Chelsea, a short walk from Sloane Square, and is surrounded by a wide variety of galleries and museums. Many of the buildings have now been supplemented by modern buildings which house all the facilities for a mixed, comprehensive school. The school gained Language College specialist status in September 2004. St Thomas More RC School achieved Specialist status as a Language College in 2004. There are 37 different language backgrounds in college. These languages range across Europe, South America and Africa. The largest contingents are Portuguese, Spanish, Filipino and Eritrean. 10 Milner Street, also known as Stanley House is a Grade II listed house in Milner Street, Chelsea, London, England. It is a double-fronted house in an Italianate style, and was built by the Chelsea speculator John Todd in 1855, for his own occupation.It was later home to Sir Courtenay Ilbert.From 1945, his nephew, the interior designer Michael Inchbald lived there, and continued to do so after Ibert's death.In 1960, the Inchbald School of Design was founded in the basement by his wife Jacqueline Ann Duncan (then Jacqueline Inchbald). The Inchbald School was founded in the old ground floor drawing room, which once housed the Ilbert Collection of clocks, watches, marine chronometers and sundials. It has been Grade II listed since 1969.

San Domenico House is a boutique hotel in London, England. It is a small hotel with just 19 rooms, located just off Kings Road at 29-31 Draycott Place in Chelsea. It was previously known as the Sloane Hotel, until 2006, when it was situated at number 29. The hotel is part of the San Domenico Hotels group, owned by Aldo Melpignano, and is a sister hotel to the Borgo Egnazia.

Vineet Bhatia London (formerly Rasoi) was a Michelin-starred Indian restaurant operated by Vineet Bhatia in London, England. As Rasoi, the restaurant held one star in the Michelin Guide for 12 years. Vineet Bhatia London received a Michelin star on September 21, 2017, and closed one week later, with no explanation beyond a Twitter announcement that "VBL needs to move out for a fresh start".

The Pheasantry, 152 King's Road, Chelsea, London, is a Grade II listed building that was home to a number of important figures in 1960s London and a small music venue in the 1970s where a number of bands were able to play their first gigs.

Wellington Square is a garden square in Chelsea, London, off the south side of the King's Road. It was built in the first decades of the nineteenth century on the former site of a nursery owned by the florist and "well-known tulip-fancier" Thomas Davey and named after the Duke of Wellington. The square consists of 35 five-storey terraced stucco houses around a central garden with a fountain. The whole square is grade II listed with Historic England. In 1870 it was the location of a double-murder. A. A. Milne, creator of Winnie-the-Pooh, lived there in the early 1900s as well as the notorious occultist Aleister Crowley in the 1920s. It was the home of fictional spy James Bond. Other notable former residents include the geologist Samuel Joseph Mackie at number 11 and the miniaturist Alice Rischgitz at number 12.
