KZNW (FM)

Ehrlich is an extinct town in Skagit County, in the U.S. state of Washington.A post office called Ehrlich was established in 1896, and remained in operation until 1915. The community was named after F. O. Ehrlich, the proprietor of a local mill.

Big Lake is a census-designated place (CDP) in Skagit County, Washington, United States. The population was 1,835 at the 2010 census. It is included in the Mount Vernon–Anacortes, Washington Metropolitan Statistical Area. Big Lake is an exurban community in a fairly rural setting, although recent years have seen significant suburban development. The area, however, has remained primarily residential. A few notable exceptions include a playable 9-hole golf course on the lake's east side, a 1950s-themed bar & grill, a quaint community store, and a small (but quickly growing) elementary school. The latter two are located at the historic north end of the lake, once a bustling logging town. A fire destroyed much of the town proper in the early 1900s, and that which was lost was never rebuilt. Based on per capita income, Big Lake ranks 134th of 522 areas in the state of Washington to be ranked.

KSVR (91.7 FM) is a radio station broadcasting a variety and Regional Mexican format. Licensed to broadcast from Mount Vernon, Washington, United States, the station serves all of Skagit County; the station is currently owned by Board of Trustees of Skagit Valley College. The station broadcasts from Little Mountain, southeast of downtown Mount Vernon.

Lake McMurray is a census-designated place (CDP) in Skagit County, Washington, United States. The population was 192 at the 2010 census. It is included in the Mount Vernon–Anacortes, Washington Metropolitan Statistical Area. Based on per capita income, Lake McMurray ranks 43rd of 522 ranked areas in the state of Washington. It is part of the Conway School District.

Washington's 2nd congressional district includes all of Island, San Juan, Skagit, and Whatcom counties, as well as western Snohomish County. It stretches from Bellingham and the Canada–US border in the north to Lynnwood and the King/Snohomish county line in the south. Since 2001, it has been represented by Democrat Rick Larsen. Originally created in 1909, when Washington was broken up into districts, the second district was represented by future U.S. Senator Henry M. "Scoop" Jackson between 1941 and 1953. It was a reliably Democratic district for most of the latter half of the 20th century, until the Republican Revolution of 1994, when retiring Rep. Al Swift was replaced by Jack Metcalf. Larsen has represented the district since Metcalf's retirement in 2001. He faced a close re-election in 2002, but was handily re-elected in 2004, and didn't face serious opposition until 2010. In the 2008 election, Larsen easily defeated Republican challenger Rick Bart. In the 2010 election, Larsen narrowly avoided defeat against Republican challenger John Koster. The district has leaned Democratic in presidential elections since the 1988 election. Al Gore and John Kerry narrowly carried the district in 2000 and 2004 with 48% and 51% of the vote, respectively. In 2008, Barack Obama won the district by a wide margin, carrying 55.60% of the vote while John McCain received 42%.

Skagit Valley Hospital is a 137-bed public hospital located in Mt. Vernon, in the US State Washington. The hospital operates a level 3 trauma center. Founded in 1958, the hospital was organized as a Public District operating in Skagit Valley Public Hospital District #1. The hospital operates two osteopathic residency programs, in internal medicine and family medicine. The hospital is operated by Skagit Regional Health, which is partnered with the Cascade Valley Hospital in Arlington.

Conway is a census-designated place (CDP) in Skagit County, Washington, United States. First settled in 1873 by Thomas P. Jones and Charles Villeneuves, its population was 91 at the 2010 census. It is included in the Mount Vernon–Anacortes, Washington Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Mount Vernon is the county seat of Skagit County, Washington, United States. The population was 35,219 at the 2020 census. It is one of two principal cities of and included in the Mount Vernon-Anacortes, Washington Metropolitan Statistical Area. Downtown Mount Vernon is known for its annual Tulip Festival Street Fair, which is part of the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. The climate of Skagit County is similar to that of Northern France, with millions of tulips grown in the Skagit Valley. In 1998, Mount Vernon was rated the #1 "Best City in America" by the New Rating Guide to Life in America's Small Cities.

Mount Vernon High School (MVHS) is a high school in Mount Vernon, Washington, located at 1075 E Fulton St. The school was originally known as Mount Vernon Union High School.It is noted for its music program, which has won numerous local awards. Skagit Valley College (SVC) is a public community college in Mount Vernon, Washington. It serves students in Skagit, Island, and San Juan counties in northwest Washington state. Established in 1926, SVC grants academic transfer pathways, professional/technical degrees, and certificates. The academic transfer degree and several professional/technical degrees can be completed online. SVC also offers Basic Education for Adults and Community Education courses. Courses are offered during Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring quarters. The SVC district includes two campuses and three centers: the Mount Vernon Campus, SVC's main campus, is located in Mount Vernon, Washington, and the Whidbey Island Campus is located in Oak Harbor, Washington. The San Juan Center is located in Friday Harbor, and the Marine Technology Center in Anacortes, Washington. Also, SVC serves many military and their dependents at the college's Whidbey Island Campus. SVC offers three Bachelor of Applied Science Degrees: Environmental Conservation, Applied Management, and Healthcare Management.

Skagit Station is a multimodal transportation hub in Mount Vernon, Washington, United States served by Amtrak, the US national railroad-passenger system. The facility at 105 East Kincaid Street was built in 2004 to replace the former Amtrak station on 725 College Way, which is currently used by the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railroad. It connects with services provided by Skagit Transit, Whatcom Transportation Authority and Island Transit along with Amtrak and Greyhound. Commuter buses to Everett Station provide onward connection to Sound Transit, Everett Transit and Community Transit services.

Pilchuck Glass School is an international center for glass art education. The school was founded in 1971 by Dale Chihuly, Ruth Tamura, Anne Gould Hauberg (1917-2016), and John H. Hauberg (1916-2002). The campus is located on a former tree farm in Stanwood, Washington in the United States. The administrative offices are located in Seattle. The name "Pilchuck" comes from the local Native American language and translates to "red water" in reference to the Pilchuck River.: 27  Pilchuck offers one, two, or three week resident classes each summer in a broad spectrum of glass techniques as well as residencies for emerging and established artists working in all media.
