Szczyrk [ʂt͡ʂɨrk] (German: Schirk) is a town in the Beskid Śląski mountains of southern Poland, situated in the valley of the Żylica river. It is part of the Silesian Voivodeship (since 1999), previously being part of the Bielsko-Biała Voivodeship (1975–1998). It has a population of 5,734 people (2019). The town is a popular winter sports centre, with over 60 km of ski runs served by 30 ski lifts. Poland's Winter Olympics athletes train in Szczyrk for events such as skiing and ski jumping.The two mountain ranges that surround the valley are dominated by the peaks of Skrzyczne at 1,257 metres (4,124 feet) and Klimczok 1,117 metres (3,665 feet), both of significant interest to tourists since they have commanding views from either peak. Moreover, both peaks are accessible to most people in one day's hike via the tourist routes. Skrzyczne is also accessible via a chairlift. To the west of Szczyrk is Wisła, a town where the source of the Vistula (Wisła) river can be found (around the Barania Góra mountain).

Skrzyczne is a mountain in southern Poland, in the Silesian Voivodeship, close to the town of Szczyrk. It is the highest mountain of the Silesian Beskids and the fifth most topographically prominent peak in Poland.Skrzyczne is one of the peaks which make up the Crown of Polish Mountains, or a list of the highest points in each of Poland's 28 mountain ranges. The peak can be reached by hiking paths, and there is also a gondola lift which starts in Szczyrk and comes up to around 1,000 metres (3,300 ft) above sea level. The slopes of the mountain are also known for the many blueberries which grow on them and which are frequently collected by hikers and other visitors.A mountain hut, PTTK Skrzyczne, is located very close to the peak of the mountain. The first hut, built in 1933, was destroyed in a fire. A second hut was built in the late 1930s, and stands to this day. There is likewise a tall (87 metres (285 ft)) radio and television tower atop Skrzyczne, which makes it easy to recognise the peak from afar. In addition to multiple hiking trails, the Skrzyczne area also hosts a ski resort with several pistes, as well as mountain biking trails. Several trail races also cross the peak, most notably Zamieć, a 24-hour race which takes place in the winter.Legend has it that Skrzyczne takes its name from the croaking of frogs (in Polish: skrzyczenie), which supposedly inhabited the (now nonexistent) ponds near the peak.

Gmina Buczkowice is a rural gmina (administrative district) in Bielsko County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland. Its seat is the village of Buczkowice, which lies approximately 12 kilometres (7 mi) south of Bielsko-Biała and 59 km (37 mi) south of the regional capital Katowice. The gmina covers an area of 19.33 square kilometres (7.5 sq mi), and as of 2019 its total population is 11,196.

Meszna [ˈmɛʂna] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Wilkowice, within Bielsko County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It lies approximately 3 kilometres (2 mi) south-west of Wilkowice, 10 km (6 mi) south of Bielsko-Biała, and 56 km (35 mi) south of the regional capital Katowice. The village lies on the slopes of Klimczok mountain.

Silesian Beskids (Polish: , Czech: , German: Schlesische Beskiden) is one of the Beskids mountain ranges in the Outer Western Carpathians in southern Silesian Voivodeship, Poland and the eastern Moravian-Silesian Region, Czech Republic. Most of the range lies in Poland. It is separated from the Moravian-Silesian Beskids by the Jablunkov Pass. The Polish part of the range includes the protected area called Silesian Beskids Landscape Park.

Dębowiec Sports Arena (known in Poland as Hala Widowiskowo-Sportowa w Bielsku-Białej) is an indoor arena that is located in Bielsko-Biała, Poland. It is the home of the professional Polish Women's-Volleyball League club Aluprof Bielsko-Biała. The arena opened on September 2, 2010, and it has a seating capacity of 4,500.

Bystra [ˈbɨstra] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Wilkowice, within Bielsko County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland. The village lies approximately 3 kilometres (2 mi) north-west of Wilkowice, 8 km (5 mi) south of Bielsko-Biała, and 55 km (34 mi) south of the regional capital Katowice. The village is located in Silesian Beskids, alongside Bystra stream. The name of the village is of topographic origin borrowed from an older name of the Bystra stream (nominative bystry: fast, rapid).

The University of Bielsko-Biała (Polish Uniwersytet Bielsko-Bialski (UBB in the logo and website) is a university in Bielsko-Biała, Poland, established in 2001. It was previously part of the Technical University of Łódź.

Kamienica (German: Kamitz) is an osiedle (district) of Bielsko-Biała, Silesian Voivodeship, southern Poland. Historically it was a separate village but was merged into the city in 1968. The osiedle has an area of 7.1005 km2 and on December 31, 2006 had 4,910 inhabitants.The name is of topographic origin and is derived from stones (Polish adjective kamienny).
