Low Tatras National Park (Slovak: Národný park Nízke Tatry; abbr. NAPANT) is a national park in Central Slovakia, between the Váh River and the Hron River valleys. The park and its buffer zone cover the whole Low Tatras mountain range. The National Park covers an area of 728 km² and its buffer zone covers an area of 1,102 km², which makes it the largest national park in Slovakia. It is divided between the Banská Bystrica Region (Banská Bystrica and Brezno districts), Žilina Region (Ružomberok and Liptovský Mikuláš districts) and Prešov Region (Poprad District). The highest peak is Ďumbier (2,043 m or 7,063 ft). Four major Slovak rivers rise below the Kráľova hoľa peak: Váh, Hron, Hnilec and Hornád.

Demänovská Ice Cave or Demänovská ľadová jaskyňa (in Slovak) is an ice cave in the Demänovská Valley (Low Tatra) in Slovakia. It was first mentioned in 1299 and is one of oldest known caves in Europe. After the opening of Demänovská jaskyňa Slobody in 1924, interest in this cave declined. It was reopened to the public after the reconstruction of wooden stairs and electrical lighting in 1952, with 680 m accessible out of the 1,975 m. Currently, the route for visitors is 850 m long and takes about 45 minutes to traverse.

Demänovská Cave of Liberty (Slovak: Demänovská jaskyňa slobody) is a karst cave in Low Tatras, Slovakia. The cave was discovered in 1921, and, opened to the public in 1924. It is the most visited cave in Slovakia. The public entrance is at an altitude of 870 metres (2,850 ft). The entire cave has a length of 8,126 metres (5.0 mi), but, only 1,800 metres (1.1 mi) are open to the public. Cave bear bones were found in a passage now named Bear's Passage (Slovak: Medvedia chodba). Large domes have been created with the largest being the Great Dome, which is 41m high, with a length of 75m and width of 35m.

Mýto pod Ďumbierom (Hungarian: Vámos) is a village and municipality in Brezno District, in the Banská Bystrica Region of central Slovakia.

Bystrianska Cave is a limestone cave located on the southern slopes of the Nizke Tatry Mountains, along the road towards Banska Bystrica, at the southern edge of the town of Bystrá, in the Brezno District, Banskobystrický region, in Slovakia.

The Belá (Hungarian: Béla-patak), 22 kilometres (14 mi) in length, is a mountainous stream draining the headwaters of the Váh River basin in Tatra National Park, northern Slovakia. It is a right tributary, into which it flows at the town of Liptovský Hrádok. The Belá itself is formed by two tributaries, the streams Tichý potok and Kôprovský potok, whose sources are in the High Tatra mountains, and which have their confluence near Podbanské, part of the town of Vysoké Tatry. It is 23 km (14 mi) long and its basin size is 244 km2 (94 sq mi). The Belá is well suited to rafting and kayaking.

Pavčina Lehota (Hungarian: Paucsinalehota or Pócsszabadja) is a village and municipality in Liptovský Mikuláš District in the Žilina Region of northern Slovakia. The village is known mainly for tourism because of its location among the famous attractions of large caves, aqua parks, ski resorts that surrounds the village.
