St Mary's Church, Bunny

Bunny is a village and civil parish located in the Rushcliffe borough of Nottinghamshire, England. The parish has a population of around 600, measured at 689 in the 2011 Census. It is on the A60, 7 miles (11 km) south of Nottingham, south of Bradmore and north of Costock.

Bunny Hall is a 21,438 square feet (1,991.7 m2) grade I listed country house in Bunny, Nottinghamshire. The house was originally an Elizabethan red brick house with an 80 foot high tower. The house was rebuilt in 1720 by Sir Thomas Parkyns, 2nd Baronet and now stands in 14.5 acres (5.9 ha) of formal gardens and parkland. It has been equipped with a cinema room and a leisure area equipped with gymnasium, steam and sauna rooms, a large indoor heated pool and separate Jacuzzi and spa area. There is also a large orangery, drawing room, library and a circular glazed frosted dome allowing light to illuminate the hallway and staircase.The hall is listed Grade I on the National Heritage List for England. Several buildings and structures associated with the hall are listed Grade II; these include the stable block, an out building to the north, a barn dating from 1734, the carriage archway and barns, and the garden walls and garden outbuildings, and the gate piers and walls around the park.A chest tomb near the hall and the sundial are also Grade II listed.

Bradmore is a village and civil parish in the Rushcliffe district of Nottinghamshire with a population in 2001 of 320 rising slightly to 328 at the 2011 Census. It is just to the south of Ruddington, on the A60. Nearby places are Keyworth, Bunny, Ruddington and Gotham. Bunny School is a small school of around 100 children from Bunny and Bradmore. Secondary school children go to South Wolds School, in nearby Keyworth. The great fire of Bradmore happened on 2 July 1705 when many of the village cottages along Far Street and Main Street were destroyed. The 300th anniversary of the great fire was celebrated on Saturday 2 July 2005. Bradmore Methodist Church and Community Hall was extensively modernised in 2003 and is a popular centre for village activities, being also available for private functions. The Methodist Church has services every Sunday at 10:15 as well as a Sunday School (for 5-11s). There are many activities at the Community Hall including monthly Bradmore lunches, 3Cs Saturday coffee morning, Women's Institute, Yoga classes and Craft group.

Ruddington () is a large village in the Borough of Rushcliffe in Nottinghamshire, England. The village is 5 miles (8 km) south of Nottingham and 11 miles (18 km) northwest of Loughborough. It had a population of 6,441 at the 2001 Census, increasing to 7,216 at the 2011 Census and 7,674 in 2021. Ruddington is twinned with Grenay, France.The village residents have previously conducted high-profile campaigns in an attempt to retain the rural identity as a village and prevent it being subsumed into the adjoining suburban village of Clifton and town of West Bridgford. It maintains this through a variety of local amenities such as several shops, schools, public houses, community centre, village hall and churches within the village centre.

The park has maintained the Green Flag award for twelve years; the national standard for parks and green spaces in England and Wales.

The Great Central Railway (Nottingham) (formerly known as the Nottingham Heritage Railway) is a heritage railway located at the Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre (NTHC), on the south side of the village of Ruddington, in Nottinghamshire. The route consists of almost 10 miles (16 km) of the former Great Central Main Line from Loughborough South Junction (with the Midland Main Line) to Fifty Steps Bridge and the site of Ruddington's former GCR station, plus a branch line from Fifty Steps Bridge to Ruddington Fields station which is located on a former Ministry of Defence site next to Rushcliffe Country Park. There are stations open to the public at Ruddington Fields (within the main centre site) and at Rushcliffe Halt. The GCR(N) aim to re-open the former station at East Leake in the longer term.The railway is currently not connected to Great Central Railway (at Loughborough Central in Leicestershire), although there are plans well underway and work has started to reunite the two preserved lines by bridging the Loughborough Gap. This is a major engineering project that is expected to be completed between 2024 and 2028. Some 5.5 miles (8.9 km) of the line was used by gypsum trains serving the British Gypsum works at East Leake until early 2020.

Gotham Sidings , was a set of railway sidings on the Great Central Main Line, where the line crosses Gotham Moor near Gotham, Nottinghamshire. The sidings were set between Rushcliffe Halt and Ruddington railway station. The sidings were constructed between 1899 and 1900, after the completion of the London Extension in 1899, to serve a short branch line to the Limestone (plaster) works of the Gotham Company's works (later British Gypsum) situated in Gotham itself. The branch line closed in 1969. The route of the branch line from Gotham Junction can still be traced, and part of it is now used as a road.The Great Central Railway (Nottingham) have stated their intention to develop the site along the lines of Swithland Sidings, though there is no road access to the site, there are however farm tracks. The original Signal Box diagrams survive in Loughborough Central Museum.
