Marylebone Road ( (listen) MAR-li-bən) is an important thoroughfare in central London, within the City of Westminster. It runs east–west from the Euston Road at Regent's Park to the A40 Westway at Paddington. The road which runs in three lanes in both directions, is part of the London Inner Ring Road and as such forms part of the boundary of the zone within which the London congestion charge applies. As part of the ring road and a feeder route to the A40 (and hence the M40 motorway) (to the west) and the A5 and M1 motorway (to the north) much of the traffic leaving central London for the Midlands and the North of England travels on this road. It is frequently heavily congested.

Paddington Town Hall was a municipal building in Harrow Road, Paddington, London. The structure, which was the headquarters of the Paddington Metropolitan Borough Council, was demolished in 1965.

The Paddington Green Children's Hospital was a hospital in Paddington Green, London, that existed from 1883 to 1987. The former building is now grade II listed with Historic England.

The Rolling Bridge is a type of curling moveable bridge completed in 2004 as part of the Grand Union Canal office and retail development project at Paddington Basin, London.

City of Westminster College is a further education college in the City of Westminster, England, founded originally as Paddington Technical Institute in 1904 and gaining its current name in 1990. The college has two centres in central London, located in Paddington and Maida Vale. It also includes the Cockpit Theatre, a fully operational studio theatre used for training and performances, and a range of outreach centres. Since 2017 it is legally merged with the College of North West London (CNWL) although remains publicly distinct; together the United Colleges Group have over 9,000 enrolled students as of 2019, most in young or adult study programmes and some in apprenticeships.

Marylebone Boys' School is a free school set up by parents, teachers and local people of Marylebone in Central London. It opened on Wednesday 3 September 2014 in temporary accommodation in Priory Park Road, London NW6 7UJ, but later moved to a permanent site in North Wharf Road, near Paddington Station.The secondary school is for boys aged 11 – 16 years, then there is a co-educational Sixth Form, 200 metres away for young adults aged 16 – 18 years.

Paddington Basin is the name given to a long canal basin, and its surrounding area, in Paddington, London. The basin commences 500 m south of the junction known as Little Venice, of the Regent's Canal and the Paddington Arm of the Grand Union Canal and runs for a similar length east–west. It was opened in 1801, with Paddington being chosen as the site of the basin because of its position on the New Road which led to the east, providing for onward transport. In its heyday, the basin was a major transshipment facility, and a hive of activity. Since 2000, the basin has been the centre of a major redevelopment as part of the wider Paddington Waterside scheme and is surrounded by modern buildings.

The Hall Place Estate is a housing estate in Maida Vale in the City of Westminster. The estate is immediately west of the Edgware Road. The estate includes the Parsons House skyscraper which has distinctive red and white vertical external cladding. Parsons House was built in 1969 with a concrete panel system. The tower was refurbished in 1984 including the installation of powder coated aluminium panel cladding. There are 120 flats on 20 floors.The other blocks in the estate are low rise. The Radio London Disc Jockey Steve Walsh was living in Parsons House at the time of his death on 1988.

Paddington Waterside is a developed area around Paddington Station in London. The Paddington Special Policy Area covers a region almost the size of Soho, creating about 10,000,000 square feet (930,000 m2) of space between 1998 and 2018. Coordinated by the Paddington Waterside Partnership, it consists of 13 individual projects in the triangle of land between Praed Street, Westbourne Terrace and the A40 Westway, most notably PaddingtonCentral and Paddington Basin. In 2000, The Independent described it as "the largest central London redevelopment scheme since the Second World War".

The Abdul Latif Jameel Institute for Disease and Emergency Analytics (commonly, the Jameel Institute, or J-IDEA) is a research institute at Imperial College London in the fields of epidemiology, mathematical modelling of infectious diseases and emergencies, environmental health, and health economics. Co-founded in 2019 by Imperial College London and Community Jameel, the Jameel Institute is housed in the School of Public Health, within the college's Faculty of Medicine. The mission of the Jameel Institute is "to combat threats from disease worldwide".The Jameel Institute rose to prominence in 2020 under the leadership of Professor Neil Ferguson, Director of the Jameel Institute, when, as part of the Imperial College COVID-19 Response Team, the Jameel Institute published mathematical modelling of the COVID-19 pandemic.

St Mary's is the youngest of the constituent schools of Imperial College London, founded in 1854 as part of the new hospital in Paddington. During its existence in the 1980s and 1990s, it was the most popular medical school in the country, with an application to place ratio of 27:1 in 1996.St Mary's continued comparatively unmoved by the other nomadic medical schools in the area, until its merger with Imperial College in 1988, and the foundation of Imperial College School of Medicine in 1997 by the merger with Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School.

Paddington is a London Underground station served by the Circle and Hammersmith & City lines. It is located adjacent to the north side of Paddington mainline station and has entrances from within the mainline station and from Paddington Basin. The station is between Royal Oak and Edgware Road and is in London Fare Zone 1. The station is one of two separate Underground stations of the same name. The other station, on Praed Street to the south of the mainline station, is served by the Bakerloo, Circle and District lines. Although shown on the London Underground map as a single station, the two stations are not directly linked and interchange between them is via the concourse of the mainline station.
