Established in 2000, Manila Business College is duly accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Philippines and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). It provides an international standard of business education that combines Asian and Western concept of business management and economics studies. Metropolitan Medical Center (simplified Chinese: 光坦纪念医院; traditional Chinese: 光坦紀念醫院; pinyin: Guāngtǎn Jìniàn Yīyuàn; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Kng-tháⁿ Kì-liām I-īⁿ; abbreviated as MMC) is a private tertiary hospital located at G. Masangkay Street in Santa Cruz, Manila. The hospital is based in a 27-storey medical tower, and is fully equipped with diagnostic equipment and a fully automated diagnostic laboratory. It is staffed by more than 300 doctors. A wide range of specialties are covered up to tertiary care level, including internal medicine, endoscopy, surgery (including bariatric surgery and renal transplantation), dentistry, obstetrics and gynecology, dermatology and physical rehabilitation. The hospital has interests in developing medical tourism. As of early 2008, the Chief Executive Officer was Dr. Joel Beltran, MD. Currently the hospital is not subject to international healthcare accreditation, whether sourced from the USA, the United Kingdom or Australia.

Rizal Avenue, also known as Avenida or Avenida Rizal, is one of Manila's main thoroughfares running from its Santa Cruz and Quiapo districts to the Bonifacio Monument (Monumento) Circle in Caloocan. Named after the national hero José Rizal, it is a part of Radial Road 9 (R-9). The LRT Line 1 elevated railroad is built above the street in its entire length, and several jeepneys ply the area taking passengers from Caloocan, Quezon City, and Valenzuela. Most of the street is within Santa Cruz, Manila. By the 1960s, economic activities shifted from Binondo to Makati. The avenue forms part of National Route 150 (N150) of the Philippine highway network.

One of the major facilities built in the Manila campus of Pontifical and Royal University of Santo Tomas, the Buenaventura Garcia Paredes, O.P. Building, colloquially known as BGPOP, is poised to serve as the meeting place of all members of the alumni in the Philippines and abroad. The building houses the current Senior High School students of the University. In addition, the center is conceived to house the individual alumni chapters of each faculty and college. The structure honors the name of Blessed Buenaventura García de Paredes, who was a law professor of the University and a Master of the Order of Preachers martyred in 1936 during the religious persecution in Spain. The site is the current location of UST's original gymnasium, which was the largest in the Philippines when it was built. Given its historic importance to UST, the gym's front and rear façade are kept and the entrance of the alumni center is along Tamayo Drive. The adjacent Olympic-sized swimming pool has remained, yet refurbished.

It also houses the Jose Fabella Memorial Hospital School of Midwifery, one of the best performing institutions recognized by the Professional Regulation Commission in the Midwife Licensure Examinations. In 2015, the World Health Organization recognized the hospital "as a role model of the World Health Organization-Western Pacific Region Office for its essential newborn care programs, which have been proven to reduce infant morbidity and mortality".

Saint Stephen's Parish Church is the Episcopal Diocese of the Central Philippines' Pro-Cathedral of the Episcopal Church in the Philippines serving Chinese communities located in Santa Cruz, Manila in the Philippines. It was established in 1903.
