St. Stephen's High School (simplified Chinese: 圣公会中学; traditional Chinese: 聖公會中學; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Sèng-kong-hoē Tiong-o̍h) is an Episcopalian school, located in the Binondo district of Manila. It is considered the first Christian Chinese school established in Luzon. The school offers courses of study from Pre-Kinder to Grade 12.

Metropolitan Medical Center (simplified Chinese: 光坦纪念医院; traditional Chinese: 光坦紀念醫院; pinyin: Guāngtǎn Jìniàn Yīyuàn; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Kng-tháⁿ Kì-liām I-īⁿ; abbreviated as MMC) is a private tertiary hospital located at G. Masangkay Street in Santa Cruz, Manila. The hospital is based in a 27-storey medical tower, and is fully equipped with diagnostic equipment and a fully automated diagnostic laboratory. It is staffed by more than 300 doctors. A wide range of specialties are covered up to tertiary care level, including internal medicine, endoscopy, surgery (including bariatric surgery and renal transplantation), dentistry, obstetrics and gynecology, dermatology and physical rehabilitation. The hospital has interests in developing medical tourism. As of early 2008, the Chief Executive Officer was Dr. Joel Beltran, MD. Currently the hospital is not subject to international healthcare accreditation, whether sourced from the USA, the United Kingdom or Australia.

The San Jose de Trozo Parish Church is a Roman Catholic church in Santa Cruz, Manila founded in 1933. The current parish priest is Rev. Fr. Peterson O. Tieng, LRMS The church is under the jurisdiction of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Manila.

Chiang Kai-shek College (Tagalog: Kolehiyo ng Chiang Kai Shek; Chinese: 菲律濱中正學院) is a Chinese Filipino institution of higher learning founded by Chinese Filipinos, recognized by the government of the Republic of the Philippines and the Republic of China (Taiwan). The school is named after Chiang Kai-shek, the second president of the Republic of China during the Kuomintang regime.

The Metropolitan Medical Center College of Arts, Science and Technology or (MMC-CAST) is a school of nursing located in Santa Cruz, Manila, Philippines. It was founded in 1976, and is owned and operated by the United Doctors Association, which is an affiliate of the Metropolitan Medical Center.

Cayetano Arellano High School, otherwise known as Manila North High School, is a public secondary school located along Teodora Alonzo Street, Santa Cruz, Manila, Philippines. It is one of the oldest public schools in Manila.

Seng Guan Ssu (simplified Chinese: 信愿寺; traditional Chinese: 信願寺; pinyin: Xìnyuàn Sì; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Sìngōan Sī) is a prominent Buddhist edifice on Narra Street, near Divisoria, in Tondo, Manila, Philippines. It contains a stupa, a huge repository for urns of human ashes, several meditation rooms, and various shrines. It is a major cultural center for the Chinese Filipino community. It is a Chan Buddhist temple built by the father of Buddhism in the Philippines, Master Xing Yuan from the South Putuo Temple in Xiamen, Fujian Province. Seng Guan Ssu was established by Wu Jianglu, Wang Zhenwen, and members of their Chinese Buddhist Society in the Philippines. It is regarded as the first Buddhist temple in the Philippines, being the first temple with a resident monk, Venerable Seng Guan (1889-1962), after whom the temple was named. Seng Guan from Fu Kien (Fujian), China, was active in teaching and organizing work in Southern China, Manila, and Rizal. His work laid the foundations for several institutions, including the Samantabhadra Institute in Santa Cruz, Manila, and the Hwa Chong Buddhist Temple complex in Tugatog, Malabon, Rizal (now Malabon, Metro Manila), where his ashes are enshrined in a stupa. In 1960, the Seng Guan Ssu set up the Philippine Academy of Sakya, Manila. Over the years, Seng Guan Ssu also conducted many charity works for the poor, orphans, elderly, refugees, and government welfare projects.

Claro M. Recto Avenue, more popularly known as simply Recto Avenue, is the principal commercial thoroughfare in north-central Manila, Philippines. It spans seven districts just north of the Pasig River in what is generally considered Manila's old downtown area. Recto's western terminus is at an intersection with Mel Lopez Boulevard (Radial Road 10) at the district boundaries of Tondo and San Nicolas close to the Manila North Harbor. It runs northeast before curving to the east at Juan Luna Street and Estero de Binondo. It then passes through the Divisoria shopping area of Manila south of the Tutuban railway station until it curves southeast past the A. Rivera Street junction. East of Rizal Avenue and Santa Cruz district, Recto intersects with the streets of the University Belt area of Quiapocode: tgl promoted to code: tl and Sampaloc before terminating at Legarda Street and Mendiola Street at the district boundaries of Quiapocode: tgl promoted to code: tl and Sampaloc. LRT Line 2 runs along its T. Alonzo–Legarda Street segment. It has a short extension into San Miguel and towards Malacañang Palace compound as Mendiola Street.

The Manila Grand Opera House (Filipino: Marangal na Bahay-Opera ng Maynila, abbreviated MGOH) was a theater and opera house located in the district of Santa Cruz in Manila on the intersection of Rizal Avenue and Doroteo Jose Street. It was the Philippines' premiere entertainment venue during the Spanish and American colonial periods and the most popular theater in the 1900s. It was also the site of historically significant political meetings. It could entertain crowds of more than 200 people.It hosted performances by musicians Katy de la Cruz, Bobby Gonzales, Diomedes Maturan, Sylvia La Torre, Pilita Corrales, Elizabeth Ramsey, Bayani Casimiro, the Reycards Duet, and comedy acts Bentot, Chiquito, Lupito, and Pugo and Tugo and Tugak. Plays directed by Lamberto Avellana and Wilfrido Ma. Guerrero were also performed here.First built in the mid-19th century as a circular wooden structure with a nipa roof known as the H.T. Hashim's National Cycle Track, the complex served as the center of Philippine culture and the primary theater for the viewing of plays, movies and zarzuelas in Manila prior to the construction of the Cultural Center of the Philippines in the 1960s. The complex had undergone several incarnations and name changes before being demolished. A hotel has since been constructed on the site on where the theater once stood.

Knox United Methodist Church is known to be the first Filipino United Methodist Church in the Philippines located along Rizal Avenue in Santa Cruz, Manila.
