The San Lazaro Hospital (SLH) is a tertiary health facility in Manila, Philippines. It is a referral facility for communicable diseases and is one of the retained special tertiary hospital of the Department of Health and is funded by subsidy from the Philippine national government. It has a bed-capacity of 500. It is known as the oldest hospital in the Philippines which caters to indigents.

The station serves Santa Cruz in Manila and is located at the intersection of Rizal Avenue and Tayuman Street. The station is named after Tayuman Street. Tayuman station serves as the eighth station for Line 1 trains headed to Baclaran, the thirteenth station for trains headed to Roosevelt, and is one of the five Line 1 stations serving Santa Cruz district, the others being Blumentritt, Bambang, Doroteo Jose, and Carriedo.

The station is named after Bambang Street, the street right beside the station. Bambang station serves as the ninth station for trains headed to Baclaran and the twelfth station for trains headed to Roosevelt. It is notable for having a commercial hub for medical and laboratory supplies within its vicinity.

Espiritu Santo Parish, now known as the Archdiocesan Shrine of Espiritu Santo, is a Roman Catholic parish belonging to the Archdiocese of Manila that is located at 1912 Rizal Avenue corner Tayuman Street, Santa Cruz, Manila, Philippines. Tayuman Street is a four-lane east-west street in northern Manila, Philippines. It stretches 1.6 kilometers (0.99 mi) from the former San Lazaro Hippodrome in Santa Cruz to Barrio Pritil in Tondo district. The street is designated as part of Circumferential Road 2. Tayuman begins at an intersection with Lacson Avenue in Santa Cruz district fronting SM City San Lazaro. It crosses Rizal Avenue, passing underneath the Tayuman LRT Station where it continues past the headquarters of the Department of Health into the residential areas of Santa Cruz and Tondo. The street ends at Juan Luna Street near Puregold Tayuman supermarket and extends west towards Manila North Harbor in Tondo as Capulong Street. The street was named after tayum, a type of indigo plant.

From October 8 to 9 2022, the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) led a law enforcement operations in Manila and Pasig which led to the seizure of about 990 kilograms (2,180 lb) of illegal drugs. This led to the arrest of several people including PDEG member Rodolfo Mayo Jr. bringing to public attention the alleged involvement of police officers in the illegal drug trade.

Masangkay Street in Santa Cruz, Manila. The hospital is based in a 27-storey medical tower, and is fully equipped with diagnostic equipment and a fully automated diagnostic laboratory. It is staffed by more than 300 doctors. A wide range of specialties are covered up to tertiary care level, including internal medicine, endoscopy, surgery (including bariatric surgery and renal transplantation), dentistry, obstetrics and gynecology, dermatology and physical rehabilitation. The hospital has interests in developing medical tourism. As of early 2008, the Chief Executive Officer was Dr. Joel Beltran, MD. Currently the hospital is not subject to international healthcare accreditation, whether sourced from the USA, the United Kingdom or Australia.
