Bambang station is an elevated Manila Light Rail Transit (LRT) station situated on Line 1. The station is located in Santa Cruz in Manila, on Rizal Avenue. The station is named after Bambang Street, the street right beside the station. Bambang station serves as the ninth station for trains headed to Baclaran and the twelfth station for trains headed to Roosevelt. It is notable for having a commercial hub for medical and laboratory supplies within its vicinity.

José R. It was transformed into an emergency hospital to give care to the wounded during the Battle of Liberation in Manila.

Rizal Avenue, also known as Avenida or Avenida Rizal, is one of Manila's main thoroughfares running from its Santa Cruz and Quiapo districts to the Bonifacio Monument (Monumento) Circle in Caloocan. Named after the national hero José Rizal, it is a part of Radial Road 9 (R-9). The University of Santo Tomas Junior High School (USTJHS), formerly called University of Santo Tomas High School, was established on June 6, 1928, and is one of the junior high school departments of the University of Santo Tomas (UST), located at Sampaloc, Manila, Philippines. USTJHS offers four years of high school, starting from Grade 7 to 10. The remaining two years of high school (Grade 11 and Grade 12) are available at the University of Santo Tomas Senior High School.

One of the major facilities built in the Manila campus of Pontifical and Royal University of Santo Tomas, the Buenaventura Garcia Paredes, O.P. Building, colloquially known as BGPOP, is poised to serve as the meeting place of all members of the alumni in the Philippines and abroad. The building houses the current Senior High School students of the University. In addition, the center is conceived to house the individual alumni chapters of each faculty and college. The structure honors the name of Blessed Buenaventura García de Paredes, who was a law professor of the University and a Master of the Order of Preachers martyred in 1936 during the religious persecution in Spain. The site is the current location of UST's original gymnasium, which was the largest in the Philippines when it was built. Given its historic importance to UST, the gym's front and rear façade are kept and the entrance of the alumni center is along Tamayo Drive. The adjacent Olympic-sized swimming pool has remained, yet refurbished.

The Miguel de Benavides Library, also known as the University of Santo Tomas Library, is the main academic library of the University of Santo Tomas. The library has been in continuous service and its collection antedates the existence of the university itself.

Tayuman station is an elevated Manila Light Rail Transit (LRT) station situated on Line 1. The station serves Santa Cruz in Manila and is located at the intersection of Rizal Avenue and Tayuman Street. The station is named after Tayuman Street. Tayuman station serves as the eighth station for Line 1 trains headed to Baclaran, the thirteenth station for trains headed to Roosevelt, and is one of the five Line 1 stations serving Santa Cruz district, the others being Blumentritt, Bambang, Doroteo Jose, and Carriedo.

Espiritu Santo Parish, now known as the Archdiocesan Shrine of Espiritu Santo, is a Roman Catholic parish belonging to the Archdiocese of Manila that is located at 1912 Rizal Avenue corner Tayuman Street, Santa Cruz, Manila, Philippines. It was declared an Archdiocesan Shrine by Manila Archbishop Emeritus Luis Antonio G. Cardinal Tagle on June 8, 2014, the Solemnity of the Pentecost. Rev. Msgr. Eymard Dennis Peter Marcelino S. Odiver, PC is the current parish priest and rector of the church since 2022.

The University of Santo Tomas Museum of Arts and Sciences is the oldest existing museum in the Philippines. It started as a Gabinete de Fisica, or observation room, of mineral, botanical and biological collections in the 17th century. Under the old Spanish educational law the collections were used as classroom materials, especially in Medicine and Pharmacy.
