Łapszanka [wapˈʂanka] (Slovak: Lapšanka) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Łapsze Niżne, within Nowy Targ County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in southern Poland, close to the border with Slovakia. It lies approximately 6 kilometres (4 mi) south-west of Łapsze Niżne, 18 km (11 mi) south-east of Nowy Targ, and 80 km (50 mi) south of the regional capital Kraków. It is one of the 14 villages in the Polish part of the historical region of Spiš (Polish: Spisz).

Trybsz [trɨpʂ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Łapsze Niżne, within Nowy Targ County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in southern Poland, close to the border with Slovakia. It lies approximately 8 kilometres (5 mi) west of Łapsze Niżne, 12 km (7 mi) south-east of Nowy Targ, and 74 km (46 mi) south of the regional capital Kraków.It is one of the 14 villages in the Polish part of the historical region of Spiš (Polish: Spisz). Beginning in the 16th century it was being mentioned in documents as Trepsia or Trepschya.The biggest landmark in the village is a wooden church from the 16th century. Dedicated to St. Elisabeth of Hungary, inside polychromes represent the Catholic saints and scenes from the Bible. Dating back to 1647, they were laid out by the parish priest Jan Ratulowski of Frydman, but their author remains unknown.

Obłazowa Cave is a cave situated in the nature reserve of Przełom Białki at Nowa Biała near Krempachy, Gmina Nowy Targ in Lesser Poland Voivodeship, southern Poland. The cave has a 9 m long chamber to which a short corridor leads. It is one of the most important Paleolithic sites in Poland.

Many residents have created chalets and bed and breakfast facilities to accommodate skiers.

The gmina covers an area of 131.84 square kilometres (50.9 sq mi), and as of 2006 its total population is 12,386.

It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Bukowina Tatrzańska. It lies approximately 14 kilometres (9 mi) north-east of Zakopane and 80 km (50 mi) south of the regional capital Kraków. Bukowina Tatrzańska is a popular destination for the Tour de Pologne, having served as the finishing point for stages several times, most recently in the 2014 edition of the race.In the village there are several historic wooden guesthouses from the Interbellum Period built in the Zakopane Style architecture including the Cultural Centre which is ranked among the biggest wooden buildings in Poland. The village also hosts the annual Polish folklore festival Sabałowe Bajania.
