Rushcliffe Halt railway station

East Leake Academy is an academy located in East Leake in the Rushcliffe area of Nottinghamshire, England. The school describes itself as specialising in information communication technology (ICT) and mathematics. The current principal is Tom Reid. The school has a student capacity of 1386. In September 2003, the school moved into a £20m new building, built with Private Finance Initiative funding, and rented from Alfred McAlpine Business Services. The school shares its location with a leisure centre and Lantern Lane Primary & Nursery School. In September 2012, the school was changed from a comprehensive to an academy after successfully earning academy status in 2010, in September 2012 the name was also changed from Harry Carlton Comprehensive School to East Leake Academy.

East Leake () is a large village and civil parish in the Rushcliffe district of Nottinghamshire, England, although its closest town and postal address is Loughborough in Leicestershire. Census data from 2021 shows that the village now has a population of 8,555. The original village was located on the Sheepwash Brook. Kingston Brook also runs through the village. Near the centre of the village is the historic St. Mary's Church, dating back to the 11th century, which Sheepwash Brook flows past, and an old ford, which provided access to the pinfold. The church has six bells.The Treaty of Leake was signed in 1318 by King Edward II and his baronial opponents.British Gypsum, a plasterboard manufacturer, has its headquarters in the village. The manufacturing of plasterboard began in this area in about 1880.

St Mary's Church is a parish church in the Church of England in East Leake, Nottinghamshire. The church is Grade I listed by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport as a building of outstanding architectural or historic interest.

East Leake railway station is a former railway station serving East Leake, Nottinghamshire and is the only surviving Great Central Railway station accessed from an underbridge rather than an overbridge. The station opened on 15 March 1899 and closed on 5 May 1969. The Nottingham Heritage Railway passes through but the station has not reopened mainly due to lack of car parking, and with the station entrance being directly onto the road under the bridge, safety concerns were also a factor. A small goods siding next to the station was redeveloped for housing in the 1990s. The station buildings have been demolished, with the rubble used to fill in the area from the road entrance to the platform. The island platform remains in situ and could still be used if required. Rushcliffe Halt is nearby.

Gotham Sidings , was a set of railway sidings on the Great Central Main Line, where the line crosses Gotham Moor near Gotham, Nottinghamshire. The sidings were set between Rushcliffe Halt and Ruddington railway station. The sidings were constructed between 1899 and 1900, after the completion of the London Extension in 1899, to serve a short branch line to the Limestone (plaster) works of the Gotham Company's works (later British Gypsum) situated in Gotham itself. The branch line closed in 1969. The route of the branch line from Gotham Junction can still be traced, and part of it is now used as a road.The Great Central Railway (Nottingham) have stated their intention to develop the site along the lines of Swithland Sidings, though there is no road access to the site, there are however farm tracks. The original Signal Box diagrams survive in Loughborough Central Museum.

Leake was a rural district in Nottinghamshire, England from 1894 to 1935. It was formed from the Nottinghamshire part of the Loughborough rural sanitary district by the Local Government Act 1894 (the rest going to form the Loughborough Rural District in Leicestershire.) It picked up the parishes of Kingston on Soar and Ratcliffe on Soar in 1927, which had previously been administered by Shardlow Rural District, based mainly in Derbyshire, having been part of the Shardlow rural sanitary district prior to 1894. In 1935 the district was abolished under a County Review Order, becoming part of the Basford Rural District.

Gotham ( GOHT-əm) is a village in Nottinghamshire, England, with a population of about 1,600, measured at 1,563 in the 2011 census, and 1,569 in the 2021 census. It is in the borough of Rushcliffe, and has a parish council. The name Gotham comes from the Old English for "goat home".

Costock is a village and civil parish in the Rushcliffe district of Nottinghamshire, England. The population of the civil parish at the 2011 Census was 621. It was estimated at 664 in 1998. Although in Nottinghamshire, Costock's closest town is Loughborough in Leicestershire.
