St Helena's Church, West Leake

West Leake () is a small conservation village and civil parish in the Rushcliffe district of Nottinghamshire.

East Leake railway station is a former railway station serving East Leake, Nottinghamshire and is the only surviving Great Central Railway station accessed from an underbridge rather than an overbridge. The station opened on 15 March 1899 and closed on 5 May 1969. The Nottingham Heritage Railway passes through but the station has not reopened mainly due to lack of car parking, and with the station entrance being directly onto the road under the bridge, safety concerns were also a factor. A small goods siding next to the station was redeveloped for housing in the 1990s. The station buildings have been demolished, with the rubble used to fill in the area from the road entrance to the platform. The island platform remains in situ and could still be used if required. Rushcliffe Halt is nearby.

University Farm is a 445 hectare (4.45 km2) commercial research farm attached to the Sutton Bonington Campus of the University of Nottingham, England. It lies across the parishes of Sutton Bonington and Kingston on Soar. There are two further blocks of land in Clifton on the north bank of the River Trent and at Bunny Park in the village of Bunny. Both these block are several miles from the main campus.

The Sutton Bonington weather station is a functioning weather station located in Sutton Bonington, Nottinghamshire in England. The weather station is located 9.0 miles (14.5 km) from the city centre of Nottingham and 4.7 miles (7.6 km) from the town centre of Loughborough. The Sutton Bonington station was formerly Nottingham's main weather station. The weather station was established in 1908 and the recording of weather records began in 1924. The weather centre is currently being managed by the Met Office.

Kingston Hall is a country house in Kingston on Soar, Nottinghamshire.It was built between 1842 and 1846 to designs by the architect Edward Blore for Edward Strutt, 1st Baron Belper. It was made a Grade II listed building in 1987.The grounds of Kingston Hall contains a Grade II listed Pavilion and a Grade II listed stable block. In 1916 it was the birthplace of Lavinia Mary Strutt, (later Lavinia Fitzalan-Howard, Duchess of Norfolk), daughter of Algernon Strutt, 3rd Baron Belper and his wife, Eva Strutt. It was subdivided into separate apartments in 1977.

Normanton on Soar (), formerly known as Normanton-upon-Soar and known locally as Normanton, is a village and civil parish in the Rushcliffe district of Nottinghamshire, England near the River Soar. This historic village is home to one of the last operating chain ferries in the country, the only lived in cruck building in Nottinghamshire and a 13th-century Grade I listed parish Church.

The church is a 12th-century Grade II* Listed building.It is located off the Main Street, at the top end of St Anne's Lane, and near to the Midland Main Line which was constructed past the village in 1840. The parish covers some 2,183 acres (8.83 km2) and includes the hamlet of Zouch. The population at the 2011 census was 2,202, rising to 2,338 at the 2021 census. The River Soar is the county boundary with Leicestershire and approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) to the north-west, in Leicestershire, is the large village of Kegworth. The nearest town is Loughborough, some 5 miles (8.0 km) by road to the south, and the nearest village is Normanton on Soar.
