Kittsee (German pronunciation: [kiˈt͡seː] (listen); Slovak: Kopčany, Hungarian: Köpcsény, Croatian: Gijeca) is an Austrian municipality in the District of Neusiedl am See, Burgenland.

Berg is a town in the district of Bruck an der Leitha in Lower Austria in Austria. It, along with neighboring Wolfsthal were part of the municipality of Wolfsthal-Berg until 1996. There is a border crossing into Slovakia, with the Bratislava suburb of Petržalka across the border. Since December 21, 2007, no more checks are conducted at the crossing with Slovakia joining the Schengen Area.

Edelstal (Hungarian: Nemesvölgy) is a township in the district of Neusiedl am See, in the Austrian state of Burgenland.

Deutsch Jahrndorf (German pronunciation: [ˌdɔʏtʃ ˈjaːɐ̯ndɔʁf]; Hungarian: Németjárfalu, Német-Járfalu, Slovak: Nemecké Jarovce) is a municipality in the district of Neusiedl am See, in the Austrian state of Burgenland. It is within a few kilometres of the borders of both Hungary and Slovakia. Deutsch Jahrndorf is the easternmost municipality of Austria, at 17th meridian east, and the easternmost commune of the German Sprachraum since 1945 and the expulsions of the Germans.

Prellenkirchen is a town in the district of Bruck an der Leitha in Lower Austria in Austria.

The Hundsheimer Berge (also Hainburger Berge) is a hill range located in Lower Austria and Burgenland, Austria next to the Devín Gate. It is the most southern part of the Devín Carpathians. The mountain range covers approximately 36 square kilometres (14 sq mi) and is bordered by the river Danube to the north and east, and the Vienna plate to the south and west. Its highest peak is Hundsheimer Berg at 481 metres (1,578 ft) AMSL. While fairly low, the Hundsheimer Berge rise from only 140 metres (460 ft) above sea level by the Danube.The mountains are densely forested, mostly with beech trees. The southern slopes are traditionally used by humans for agriculture and particularly wine-making. There are many vineyards in the area. South of Edelstal are wine cellars offering wine-tasting. The mountains feature the ruins of the Pottenburg Castle. Neudorf bei Parndorf (Croatian: Novo Selo, Hungarian: Mosonújfalu) is a village in the district of Neusiedl am See in the Austrian state of Burgenland.

Wolfsthal is a town in the district of Bruck an der Leitha in Lower Austria in Austria. It along with neighboring Berg were part of the municipality of Wolfsthal-Berg until 1996. It is the end of the line for S7 Vienna S-Bahn trains.

Bratislava V (Slovak: okres Bratislava V; Hungarian: Pozsonyi V. járás) is an okres (district) of Bratislava in the Bratislava Region of Slovakia. It covers southern areas of Bratislava, including the boroughs of Petržalka, Jarovce, Rusovce and Čunovo. It is bordered by the Danube river to the north and east, which forms its borders with the Bratislava IV, Bratislava I, Bratislava II and Senec districts. It borders on Hungary in the south and Austria in the west. Until 1920, the northern part of the district was part of the Hungarian county of Pozsony, while the southern part was part of the county of Moson. It is the only Slovak district which is situated on the right bank of the Danube.

Spitzerberg Airport (German: Flugplatz Spitzerberg, ICAO: LOAS) is a private use airport in Hundsheim, Lower Austria, Austria. The airport is located at the foot of the Spitzerberg. Part of the runway is included in the Spitzerberg nature reserve.

Sihoť is the largest river island on the Danube in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, located in the district of Karlova Ves. The island lies between the main flow of the Danube to the north and the parallel channel Karloveské rameno to the south, between Devínska cesta in Bratislava and the Austrian border. It contains a culturally protected water source supplying tap water to a large portion of Bratislava citizens, as well as numerous nearby villages. Under communism, access to the island was restricted due to its proximity to the Austrian border and the only access bridge to the island was guarded by soldiers. Access to the island remained forbidden even after the end of communism and today, access is highly restricted. Since 15 May 2012, the island is a protected area and there is currently an initiative to declare the island a national park and connect it with the neighboring Danube-Auen National Park in Austria.

Bratislava bridgehead is found in the western part of Slovakia. It has an area of 93.7 square kilometres (36.2 sq mi). It is situated on the Little Hungarian Plain, on the left bank of the river Danube. Administratively, it belongs to the district Bratislava V in Bratislava, and has 111,135 inhabitants.
