The Hundsheimer Berge (also Hainburger Berge) is a hill range located in Lower Austria and Burgenland, Austria next to the Devín Gate. It is the most southern part of the Devín Carpathians. The mountain range covers approximately 36 square kilometres (14 sq mi) and is bordered by the river Danube to the north and east, and the Vienna plate to the south and west. Its highest peak is Hundsheimer Berg at 481 metres (1,578 ft) AMSL. While fairly low, the Hundsheimer Berge rise from only 140 metres (460 ft) above sea level by the Danube.The mountains are densely forested, mostly with beech trees. The southern slopes are traditionally used by humans for agriculture and particularly wine-making. There are many vineyards in the area. South of Edelstal are wine cellars offering wine-tasting. The mountains feature the ruins of the Pottenburg Castle. Edelstal (Hungarian: Nemesvölgy) is a township in the district of Neusiedl am See, in the Austrian state of Burgenland.

Sihoť is the largest river island on the Danube in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, located in the district of Karlova Ves. The island lies between the main flow of the Danube to the north and the parallel channel Karloveské rameno to the south, between Devínska cesta in Bratislava and the Austrian border. It contains a culturally protected water source supplying tap water to a large portion of Bratislava citizens, as well as numerous nearby villages. Under communism, access to the island was restricted due to its proximity to the Austrian border and the only access bridge to the island was guarded by soldiers. Access to the island remained forbidden even after the end of communism and today, access is highly restricted. Since 15 May 2012, the island is a protected area and there is currently an initiative to declare the island a national park and connect it with the neighboring Danube-Auen National Park in Austria.

The Battle of the Theben Pass, also known as the Battle of Moson, was fought in the Theben pass near Wieselburg, where the March meets the Danube, in 1060. It was a victory for the nationalist part in Hungary over that of their own pro-German king. In 1058, Solomon, son of Andrew I of Hungary was betrothed to Judith, daughter of the Emperor Henry III. In Hungary, however, a party opposed to such close ties with Germany arose, led by Béla, Andrew's brother. A German embassy composed of Eppo, Bishop of Naumburg, and William, Margrave of Meissen, was sent to Hungary to negotiate with the national party, but this merely provoked a backlash. In 1060, Andrew and his queen, Anastasia, attempted to flee Hungary for the March of Austria, but were trapped by Béla in the pass of Theben. Andrew was immediately taken captive, but Anastasia with her son and the royal treasure escaped to the Melk Abbey. Andrew was killed in a subsequent charge of the Hungarian cavalry, but the Margrave William and a certain Bavarian named Poto fought from sunset until sunrise so that "the deeds of the very bravest of men of former times seem small in comparison." They held out until Béla promised to spare their lives; surrender was then made. William, Poto, and the rest of the embassy were all taken captive by the Béla and expelled. Poto would henceforth be known to the world as Poto the Brave.

Devín Castle (Slovak: hrad Devín [ˈɦrad ˈɟeʋiːn] or Devínsky hrad [ˈɟeʋiːnski ˈɦrat], Hungarian: Dévényi vár, German: Burg Theben) is a castle in Devín, which is a borough of Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia.

Devín Gate, Hainburger Gate or Hungarian Gates (Slovak: Devínska brána, pronounced [ˈɟeʋiːnska ˈbraːna]; German: Hainburger Pforte) is a natural gate in the Danube valley at the border of Slovakia and Austria. It is one out of four geomorphological areas of the Devín Carpathians, part of the Little Carpathians mountain range. Passau, Devín Gate, and the Iron Gates divide the Danube river into four distinct sections. Devín Gate has been inhabited since prehistoric times, with continuous settlement since 5000 BC. It was a strategic part of the ancient Amber Road connecting Northern Europe with the Mediterranean and during the Middle Ages, five castles have been built here, Heimenburg Castle, Rothelstein Castle, Pottenburg Castle, Devín Castle, and Bratislava Castle. It was continually guarded since Roman times and it has served as a border of the Roman Empire, Austrian Empire, the Iron Curtain during the Cold War and finally a border between Austria and Czechoslovakia, today Slovakia. On 1 May 2004 Slovakia entered the Schengen Zone, allowing free movement of persons for the first time in history.

Berg is a town in the district of Bruck an der Leitha in Lower Austria in Austria. It, along with neighboring Wolfsthal were part of the municipality of Wolfsthal-Berg until 1996. There is a border crossing into Slovakia, with the Bratislava suburb of Petržalka across the border. Since December 21, 2007, no more checks are conducted at the crossing with Slovakia joining the Schengen Area.

The Morava (German: March, Hungarian: Morva, Polish: Morawa) is a river in Central Europe, a left tributary of the Danube. It is the main river of Moravia, which derives its name from it. The river originates on the Králický Sněžník mountain in the north-eastern corner of Pardubice Region, near the border between the Czech Republic and Poland and has a vaguely southward trajectory. The lower part of the river's course forms the border between the Czech Republic and Slovakia and then between Austria and Slovakia.

Braunsberg is a 346 m high limestone massif in Hainburg an der Donau, Austria, on the shore of the Danube. Its plateau used to host a Celtic town, and still bears traces of the Celtic-Roman era.

Dlhé diely is a neighborhood of Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, part of the Karlova Ves borough in the Bratislava IV district. It is one of the newest residential quarters of the city, it is situated at the foothills of the Little Carpathians overlooking the river Danube, offering extensive views over Bratislava and Austria. Buildings in this part of the city are almost exclusively blocks of flats, although most of them relatively new. Formerly consisting of vineyards, woods and meadows next to Karlova Ves proper, during the 1980s and 1990s a residential planned for 12,000 people emerged, that today houses almost 30,000 inhabitants.

The Evangelical church in Dúbravka, a suburb of Bratislava, is the second-youngest religious building in this part of Bratislava. Originally built as a ceremonial hall in the 1980s, regular evangelical worship services began in 1995. In 2003, the building became the property of the Slovak Evangelical Church. The church consists of a main hall with a capacity of about 200 people and a minor hall with a 100-person capacity. In 2006, the general bishop consecrated a white marble octangular baptismal font made as a commemoration to the early Christian believers and traditions. The interior is dominated by 4-meter-tall wooden cross with textile depiction of the Creed.The church is the center of evangelical believers of Bratislava's fourth district.

Stadium ŠKP Inter Dúbravka (Slovak: Štadión ŠKP Inter Dúbravka) is a football stadium in Dúbravka, Slovakia and is the home stadium of the FK Inter Bratislava and FK ŠKP Inter Dúbravka Bratislava. FK Inter Bratislava started playing at the stadium in Summer 2014. Stadium capacity is 5000, including 250 VIP seats. Stadium is currently used by most successful American football team in Slovakia - Bratislava Monarchs.
