Fryštát (Czech: [ˈfrɪʃtaːt]; Polish: Frysztat [ˈfrɨʂtat] ; German: Freistadt [ˈfʁaɪʃtat] ; Cieszyn Silesian: ) is an administrative part of the city of Karviná in the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic. Until 1948 it was a separate town. It lies on the Olza River, in the historical region of Cieszyn Silesia.
