Royal Fremantle Golf Club is a golf club in Fremantle, Western Australia. It was established in 1905. Multiple prominent golf tournaments have been hosted at the venue including the Australian PGA Championship and Royal Fremantle Open.

Palmyra is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located within the City of Melville. The suburb east of Fremantle appears to have been first established as the Palmyra Estate in 1903. The north-eastern corner of Palmyra is some 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) from the Perth G.P.O. The W.A. State Primary School the corner of what was then McKimmie Street (now McKimmie Road) between Zenobia and Aurelian Streets, was established in 1913. Its first Centenary was celebrated enthusiastically by students, residents and past pupils on Saturday 9 November 2013. There is also a School associated with the Catholic Our Lady of Fatima Church at 8 Foss Street. The St Peter and St Mark Anglican Church is a 2 Hammad Road. The Uniting Church is at the corner of Carrington Street and the Canning Highway. The Seventh Day Adventist Church meets on Saturdays at 10 Cleopatra Street. Palmyra includes the Fremantle Cemetery at its south-eastern suburb boundary, south of High Street/Leach Highway. Starting from its northern boundary, clockwise, Palmyra is bounded by the Canning Highway; by Stock Road on its East; by Sainsbury Road on its South; and in a dog-leg, by Carrington Street on its West, and Marmion Street on its South, and Petra Street on its West. White Gum Valley is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia located within the City of Fremantle. It is situated behind the main ridge that lies east of Fremantle.

East Fremantle Oval (known under a sponsorship agreement as New Choice Homes Park and nicknamed "Shark Park",) is an Australian rules football ground located in East Fremantle, Western Australia. The ground was opened in 1906, and underwent a large redevelopment in 1953. It current serves as the home ground of the East Fremantle Football Club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL). East Fremantle Oval has a capacity of around 20,000 people, but has hosted in excess of this number previously, with a record crowd of 21,317 for a match between East Fremantle and South Fremantle in 1979.

The East Fremantle Football Club Hall of Fame was launched on 2 July 2012 when 52 inductees were celebrated during a dinner at the East Fremantle Football Club Social Hall. Despite being the most successful team in the West Australian Football League, the East Fremantle Football Club had never had a Hall of Fame, the closest being the 1997 Team of the Century, created to celebrate the club's 100th year.

O'Connor is a predominantly industrial suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located within the City of Fremantle. It was established in 1955 and is named after the Irish engineer, C. Y. O'Connor, who is buried in Fremantle Cemetery.O'Connor has a roller skating rink plus a number of retail store: a major hardware store, two major electronics retailers, a tyre store, several automotive parts and accessory stores, a popular bicycle store, a furniture store and numerous other retail stores. There are quite a number of light industrial activities taking place in the suburb, including Anchor Foods on Carrington Street. There are two precincts of residential dwellings which contain a small but growing number of dwellings.

Hilton is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located within the City of Fremantle. The suburb has an eclectic mixture of weatherboard, fibro and brick dwellings. The suburb is undergoing extensive urban renewal and recently more three and four-bedroom, two-bathroom homes have been built. Its post-World War II design was under a state government initiative known as "garden suburbs" which meant wide verges and single homes on large blocks. The northern precinct of Hilton contains a number of laneways and the village centre (on the north side of South Street) comprising a greengrocer, giftware emporium, newsagent, printers, chemist, butcher, a hair salon, squash courts, builders, veterinarian surgery and a café. South Street, Paget Street and Carrington Street contain most of the remaining retail activity in Hilton, including a public bar, pizzeria and a post office. In June of 2021 the existing IGA was demolished to make way for a new enlarged retail space with initial tenants named as Coles, a café and a liquor merchant. Hilton is approximately five minutes drive from the central business district of Fremantle and from the Indian Ocean.

The Town of East Fremantle is a local government area in the southern suburbs of the Western Australian capital city of Perth, located immediately northeast of the port city of Fremantle and about 17 kilometres (11 mi) southwest of Perth's central business district. The Town covers an area of 3.1 square kilometres (1.2 sq mi), maintains 46 km of roads and had a population of over 7,000 as at the 2016 Census.

East Fremantle (nicknamed East Freo) is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located 13 kilometres (8.1 mi) south-west of the central business district. The suburb is mainly residential, and is coterminous with the Town of East Fremantle local government area. Previously serving as an outer, rural area of Fremantle, most of the present-day suburb was originally developed in the late 1890s and early 1900s as a result of the Western Australian gold rushes. Further development occurred in the late 1940s and 1950s to provide dwellings for new immigrants. Two major arterial roads – Canning Highway and Stirling Highway – pass through the suburb, which is also bounded to the north by the Swan River.

Fremantle College is an Independent Public secondary school in Beaconsfield, Western Australia, 2 kilometres (1 mi) south-east of the port city of Fremantle, and 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) south-west of Perth, the capital city of Western Australia. It opened in 2018 following the closure of South Fremantle Senior High School and Hamilton Senior High School due to low enrolment numbers.

South Fremantle Senior High School (SFSHS) is a former comprehensive public co-educational high day school, that was located in Beaconsfield, 3.5 kilometres (2.2 mi) south-east of Fremantle in the south-western suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. The school operated from 1967 until its closure in 2017. Plans to close the school and merge students with Hamilton Senior High School to form Fremantle College were announced in December 2014. The larger number of students would allow for more opportunities and subjects for students. The school was closed permanently at the end of the 2017 school year. Prior to its closure, the school's catchment area covered most of the City of Fremantle and, as at Semester 2, 2013, the school had an enrolment of 324 students between Year 8 and Year 12, 28 (8.8%) of whom were Indigenous Australians.
