Hilton is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located within the City of Fremantle. The suburb has an eclectic mixture of weatherboard, fibro and brick dwellings. The suburb is undergoing extensive urban renewal and recently more three and four-bedroom, two-bathroom homes have been built. Its post-World War II design was under a state government initiative known as "garden suburbs" which meant wide verges and single homes on large blocks. The northern precinct of Hilton contains a number of laneways and the village centre (on the north side of South Street) comprising a greengrocer, giftware emporium, newsagent, printers, chemist, butcher, a hair salon, squash courts, builders, veterinarian surgery and a café. South Street, Paget Street and Carrington Street contain most of the remaining retail activity in Hilton, including a public bar, pizzeria and a post office. In June of 2021 the existing IGA was demolished to make way for a new enlarged retail space with initial tenants named as Coles, a café and a liquor merchant. Hilton is approximately five minutes drive from the central business district of Fremantle and from the Indian Ocean.

Samson is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia in the City of Fremantle. Samson is bounded by South Street to the north, Stock Road to the west, Winterfold Road to the south, South Street to the north and east no further than Rushby and McMahon Ways. The suburb comprises fewer than 40 streets and 800 homes. The suburb of Samson was named after the Samson family who have been prominent in the Fremantle area for two centuries, including Sir Frederick Samson who served as mayor for over 20 years. The first notable Samson, Lionel Samson arrived in Fremantle in 1829 and started Lionel Samson and Sons that together with R.C. Sadleir Pty Limited became the Lionel Samson Sadleirs Group in 2012. Samson is the easternmost neighbourhood of Fremantle and the most recent residential development. Prior to development, the site was owned by the army, being the site of the Melville Military Camp during World War II. In 1971, the City of Fremantle called tenders for the development of the area. The neighbourhood was developed by Messer's TM Burke Pty Ltd and its major park being named after former mayor, Sir Frederick Samson. Houses in Samson are predominantly of a brick and tile construction. Samson Park is the largest bush reserve in the city of Fremantle. The park is located opposite the Samson Recreation Centre. Samson Park is the city of Fremantle's only Bush Forever park. Nature trails wind through the park displaying jarrah, marri and tuart trees, and a variety of native plants. The park also provides habitat to over 50 bird species, reptiles and bats. Samson Park is a popular picnic and meeting place, with picnic spaces and also a children's playground. Samson park contains the following facilities: picnic areas, BBQ facilities, basketball court, dog walking areas.

Fremantle Cemetery is a 46-hectare (110-acre) cemetery located in the eastern part (Palmyra) of Fremantle, Western Australia. Established in 1898, it is known as the final resting place of Bon Scott, several murderers and dozens of other notable Australians. There have been over 60,000 cremations and over 40,000 burials there. The grave of Scott, the AC/DC singer, has been said to be the most visited grave in Australia.

Willagee is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia 15 kilometres (9 mi) south-southwest of the Perth central business district. It is within the local government area of City of Melville, and the electoral district of Willagee, which takes its name from the suburb.

Palmyra is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located within the City of Melville. The suburb east of Fremantle appears to have been first established as the Palmyra Estate in 1903. The north-eastern corner of Palmyra is some 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) from the Perth G.P.O. The W.A. State Primary School the corner of what was then McKimmie Street (now McKimmie Road) between Zenobia and Aurelian Streets, was established in 1913. Its first Centenary was celebrated enthusiastically by students, residents and past pupils on Saturday 9 November 2013. There is also a School associated with the Catholic Our Lady of Fatima Church at 8 Foss Street. The St Peter and St Mark Anglican Church is a 2 Hammad Road. The Uniting Church is at the corner of Carrington Street and the Canning Highway. The Seventh Day Adventist Church meets on Saturdays at 10 Cleopatra Street. Palmyra includes the Fremantle Cemetery at its south-eastern suburb boundary, south of High Street/Leach Highway. Starting from its northern boundary, clockwise, Palmyra is bounded by the Canning Highway; by Stock Road on its East; by Sainsbury Road on its South; and in a dog-leg, by Carrington Street on its West, and Marmion Street on its South, and Petra Street on its West. Melville Senior High School is a public co-educational high school located in Melville, a suburb of Perth, Western Australia. Opened in 1960, as of 2021 the school had an enrolment of 1,399 students from Year 7 to Year 12, with its catchment area covering most of the City of Melville.

Royal Fremantle Golf Club is a golf club in Fremantle, Western Australia. It was established in 1905. Multiple prominent golf tournaments have been hosted at the venue including the Australian PGA Championship and Royal Fremantle Open.

David John Birnie (16 February 1951 – 7 October 2005) and Catherine Margaret Birnie (née Harrison; born 23 May 1951) were an Australian couple from Perth, Western Australia, who murdered four women at their home in 1986, and attempted to murder a fifth. These crimes were referred to in the press as the Moorhouse murders, after the Birnies' address at 3 Moorhouse Street in Willagee, a suburb of Perth.

Kardinya is a suburb 13 kilometres (8 mi) south-southwest of the central business district of Perth, the capital of Western Australia. It is in the City of Melville local government area. It is predominantly a low-density residential suburb consisting of single-family detached homes. There is a commercial area in the centre of the suburb, with a shopping centre and several other shops. In the northwest is a small light industrial area. Kardinya has a population of 8,730 people. Before European settlement, the area was inhabited by the Beeliar group of the Whadjuk Noongar people. Kardinya did not attract any interest from Europeans when the Swan River Colony was founded in 1829, as it was far away from any river and was not fertile. European use of Kardinya began in 1870 when fourteen lots were allocated to Pensioner Guards. These lots were used for piggeries, poultry farms and vineyards. In 1904, a large amount of land in the area was set aside as endowment land for the University of Western Australia. In the 1920s, this land started to be used as a pine plantation, known as the Applecross Pine Plantation, and, after 1947, the Somerville Pine Plantation. The suburb was formally gazetted on 16 June 1961. From 1967 to the early 1980s, suburban development occurred in Kardinya. Current amenities in Kardinya include Kardinya Primary School, North Lake Senior Campus, Kardinya Park Shopping Centre, and Morris Buzacott Reserve, which is home to several sports clubs. The suburb is quadrisected by South Street and North Lake Road. Transperth bus services operate, most feeding into Murdoch railway station on the Mandurah railway line.

Hamilton Senior High School was a public co-educational high day school on Purvis Street in Hamilton Hill, a suburb of Perth, Western Australia. The school was often referred to as Hamilton Hill Senior High School, and educated students in Year 7 to Year 12 from its establishment in 1962 until its closure on 15 December 2017 (2017-12-15).
