Potrero (Spanish: [poˈtɾeɾo] (listen); Spanish lit. transl. "Paddock") is a station of the Mexico City Metro built along Insurgentes Norte Avenue in the colonias (neighborhoods) of Capultitlan and Guadalupe Insurgentes, in Gustavo A. Madero, Mexico City. It is an at-grade station with one island platform served by Line 3 (the Olive Line) between Deportivo 18 de Marzo and La Raza stations. The station and its surrounding area are named this way because there used to be a hippodrome during the Porfiriato era (1876–1911) and its pictogram features the silhouette of a head of a horse behind a fence. The station was opened on 1 December 1979, on the first day of service between Indios Verdes and Hospital General stations. In 2019, the station had an average daily ridership of 17,308 passengers, making it the 106th busiest station in the network and the third-least used in the line. The facilities are partially accessible for people with disabilities as it is equipped with access ramps.

La Raza (Mexican Spanish: [la 'ra.sa] (listen); Spanish transl. "the People"; lit. transl. "the Race") is a Mexico City Metro transfer station in the Gustavo A. Madero borough of Mexico City. It is a combined underground and at-grade station with two side platforms each, served by Lines 3 (the Olive Line) and 5 (the Yellow Line). La Raza station is located between Potrero and Tlatelolco stations on Line 3, and between Autobuses del Norte and Misterios stations on Line 5. It serves the colonias (neighborhoods) of Vallejo and Héroes de Nacozari. The station's pictogram depicts the nearby Monumento a la Raza, a pyramid-shaped construction erected in honor of la Raza, Mexico's many native peoples and cultures. La Raza station opened on 25 August 1978 with service on Line 3 southward toward Hospital General station. Southeasterly service on Line 5 toward Pantitlán station began on 1 July 1982. The station facilities are partially accessible for people with disabilities as there are braille signage plates; inside, there is an Internet café, a library, and a mural titled Monstruos de fin de milenio, painted by Ariosto Otero Reyes. Outside, there is a bicycle parking station and a bus terminal. In 2019, the station had an overall average daily ridership of 40,937 passengers. The transfer tunnel has an approximate length of 600 meters (2,000 ft), the second-longest in the system. Inside the tunnel, there is a permanent science exhibition called El Túnel de la Ciencia ("The Tunnel of Science"), installed by the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) to provide scientific information to passengers, which was opened on 30 November 1988. The exposition features information about science and astronomy using pictures.

It is an at-grade station with two side platforms, served by Line 5 (the Yellow Line), between Instituto del Petróleo and La Raza stations. Autobuses del Norte station serves the colonias (neighborhoods) of Ampliación Panamericana and Capultitlan. The station's pictogram features the front of an intercity bus, and its name is on account of its proximity to Mexico City's Northern Bus Terminal. Autobuses del Norte station was opened on 30 August 1982, on the first day of the Politécnico–Pantitlán service. The station is partially accessible. In 2019, the station had an average daily ridership of 22,685 passengers, making it the 68th busiest station in the network and the third busiest of the line.

Misterios (Spanish pronunciation ; Spanish lit. transl. "Mysteries") is a Mexico City Metro station within the limits of Cuauhtémoc and Gustavo A. Madero, in Mexico City. It is an underground station with two side platforms, served by Line 5 (the Yellow Line), between La Raza and Valle Gómez stations. Misterios station serves the colonias (neighborhoods) of Peralvillo and Vallejo. The station receives its name from the Calzada de los Misterios, an avenue in Mexico City with many hermitages that reference the Mysteries of the Rosary; the station's pictogram features one of those hermitages. Misterios station was opened on 1 July 1982, on the first day of the La Raza–Pantitlán service. In 2019, the station had an average daily ridership of 8,092 passengers, making it the 164th busiest station in the network and the seventh busiest of the line.

The Monumento a la Raza is a 50 meters (160 ft) high pyramid in northern Mexico City. It is located in the intersection of Avenida de los Insurgentes, Circuito Interior and Calzada Vallejo, in the Cuauhtémoc borough. The monument consists of three superimposed truncated pyramids decorated with several sculptures on the sides and an eagle on the tip. The pyramid was designed by Francisco Borbolla and the stone sculptures and its layout by Luis Lelo de Larrea. The copper-and-steel eagle was cast by French animalier Georges Gardet, and the bronze high reliefs were created by Mexican sculptor Jesús Fructuoso Contreras. The eagle was originally intended to be placed on top of the never-completed Federal Legislative Palace—later replaced with the Monumento a la Revolución in downtown Mexico City—, while the reliefs were based on those created for the Aztec Palace, presented in the Mexican pavilion of the 1889 Paris Exposition. Its construction started in 1930 and was completed ten years later. It was inaugurated in 1940, on the Día de la Raza (Columbus Day), and it is dedicated to la Raza—the indigenous peoples of the Americas and their descendants.

Colonia Peralvillo is a colonia located in the Cuauhtémoc borough of Mexico City, just northwest of the city's historic center. It has been a poor area since colonial times, but the modern colonia was not established until the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Although the area has been the setting for a number of literary works and films, today the area is known for violence and crime, especially shootings and the selling of stolen auto parts.

Colonia Ex Hipódromo del Peralvillo is a colonia or neighborhood of the Cuauhtémoc borough of Mexico City, located north of the historic center. It is part of an area of the city that is noted for crime and lower income residents. One area of the colonia around Calzado de la Ronda is noted for stored selling used auto parts, frequently from stolen cars. The colonia is named after an old horse race track (hipodromo in Spanish) that was built here in the early 20th century, but the area was later parceled and sold to create housing for lower class workers.

Colonia San Simón Tolnáhuac is a colonia in the Cuauhtémoc borough of Mexico City, just north of the city's historic center. The colonia's borders are marked by the following streets: Eje 1 Poniente to the south, Avenida Rio Consulado to the north, Lerdo Street and Calzada Vallejo to the east and Avenida de los Insurgentes Norte to the west.This area originally was part of the Tlatelolco dominion and functioned as communal farmland through most of the pre-Hispanic and colonial periods. Its center was the village of San Simon Tolnáhuac. Tolnáhuac comes from Nahuatl and means “in reeds.” Around 1873, some of the farmland around here began to be subdivided and this subdivision called Cuitlahuac Ferrocarrilera. This subdivision was mostly populated by railroad workers who worked at the nearby Nonoalco station. This station was located at what is now the corner of Manuel González and Lerdo Street and belonged to the Monte Alto rail company. The main tracks were where San Simon Atlampa Street is now and at that time, divided the zone in half. By 1928, it was still the last independent village just north of the Mexico City's historic center, when it was finally incorporated. In 2008, the borough sponsored the twelfth “Rescue of the Urban Image of the Habitational Units in San Simón Tolnáhuac. The goal of the program is to maintain and repair aspects of large apartment units such as repairs of walls, courtyards, facades, railings and fences as well as maintenance work on lighting and sewer and other projects. That year, the focus was on several units on Jupiter Street. This program is a spinoff of the Rescue of the Urban Image of Green and Recreation Areas. In 2009, the borough announced the construction of a cultural center for the colonia.Schools in the colonia include the Centro de Integracion Infantil Carrusel preschool (private), Francisco Diaz Covarrubias primary school (public), Kinder las Rositas preschool (private), Mi Arco Iris preschool (private), Professor Luis de la Brina primary school (public) and the Tres Culturas primary school (private) .

Instituto del Petróleo is located between Politécnico and Autobuses del Norte stations on Line 5, and between Vallejo and Lindavista stations on Line 6. It serves the colonias (neighborhoods) of Valle del Tepeyac, San Bartolo Atepehuacan, and Nueva Industrial. The station's pictogram depicts an oil derrick, and its name is on account of its proximity to the Mexican Petroleum Institute headquarters. Instituto del Petróleo station opened on 30 August 1982 with service on Line 5 northward toward Politécnico. West service on Line 6 toward El Rosario started on 21 December 1983. In the station, there is a collection of sculptures titled Petróleo, made of oil drums and created by Mexican artist Ernesto Paulsen Camba. In 2019, the station had an overall average daily ridership of 9,309 passengers.
