Stalmine-with-Staynall is a civil parish within the Wyre borough of Lancashire, England, in a part of the Fylde known as Over Wyre. The parish contains the village of Stalmine and the hamlets of Staynall and Wardley. The civil parish had a population of 1,486 at the 2011 Census, of which 1,087 lived in Stalmine village.Located close to the Irish Sea coast, the Wyre Estuary forms the parish's western boundary. The highest point is only approximately 75 feet (23 m) above sea level. The parish adjoins the Wyre parishes of Fleetwood, Preesall, Pilling, Out Rawcliffe, Hambleton and the Thornton area which is unparished.

Stalmine is a village in the civil parish of Stalmine-with-Staynall, in the Wyre borough of Lancashire, England, in a part of the Fylde known as Over Wyre. The village is located on a small hill on the A588, the main road between Hambleton and Lancaster, with the highest level 75 ft above sea level. The village name has been spelled Stalmin (in 1205) and Stalemynne (in 1278). The village had a population of 1,087 at the 2011 Census.

Saint Aidan's Church of England High School (formerly Saint Aidan's Church of England Technology College) is a Church of England voluntary aided school located in Preesall, England. In an Ofsted report in 2013, the school was rated Grade 2 (Good) overall and Grade 1 (Outstanding) for Behaviour and Safety. They are well known within the local community, and are notable as having above-average GCSE results and an outstanding approach to health and safety. St Aidan's are responsible for the schooling of Barney Harwood, a well-known CBBC presenter. The school is very charitable and friendly hosting many events to raise money for charities. A new gymnasium has been added to the school, costing 2.5 million. The sports hall opened to the students in September.

Preesall is a town, civil parish and electoral ward in Lancashire, England. The parish (until 1910 known as Preesall with Hackensall) covers the eastern bank of the estuary of the River Wyre, including Knott End-on-Sea, Pilling Lane and the village of Preesall itself. The parish of Preesall had a population of 5,314 recorded in the 2001 census, rising to 5,694 at the 2011 census.

The Black Bull, formerly known as the Black Bull Inn and Black Bull Hotel, is a public house in Preesall, Lancashire, England. Dating to 1762, it stands on Park Lane.The inn's first licensee was John Bamber, who ran it between 1776 and 1789. Between 1853 and 1892, the role was filled by John Parkinson. In 1872, during Parkinson's tenure, a "syndicate of men" from Barrow-in-Furness stayed at the inn during their search for iron ore in the area. None was to be found, but they did discover a bed of rock salt, from which they took a sample. Upon returning to the inn, Parkinson's 17-year-old daughter, Dorothy, processed the sample by dissolving, filtering and boiling it, thus creating the very first example of Preesall salt. In 1902, Preesall Salt Works was built to the north of the village's salt marshes, on the eastern banks of the River Wyre. Dorothy married another John Parkinson and spent her life as a farmer's wife at Hackensall Hall Farm, where she raised nine children. She died in 1925.The current licensee took over in late 2022, succeeding Anthony Gills.

Wardleys Pub was a public house on Wardley's Lane in the civil parish of Stalmine-with-Staynall, near the village of Hambleton, Lancashire. The building dated to the 18th century and occupied a location, on the eastern banks of the River Wyre and beside Wardleys Creek, believed to have been used since Roman times. Prior to nearby Fleetwood's emergence as a harbour, people emigrated to the Americas from the creek, including aboard the Quebec-bound Six Sisters on 3 April 1833. The harbour's foundation rocks are still visible beneath today's wooden jetty. A ferry used to run from Cockle Hall, on the western side of the river, to Wardleys Creek. Parts of the pier are still visible in the marsh in front of where Cockle Hall once stood.In the 1890s, during part of its life as a hotel, it was owned by Thomas Houghton. In the 1950s, R. F. Fyles was the proprietor. It was also a farm during that era, and a fire destroyed its barn in December 1899; the hotel was not affected.After the pub's closure in 2005, the building fell into disuse and dereliction, during which time it was used as a marijuana-growing location on its upper floors and a Chinese restaurant on the ground floor. It closed in late 2010 and burned down on 25 April, 2011. It was then demolished, and has now been replaced by a dwelling, built by the last owner of the pub.

Wardleys Creek is an area of Stalmine-with-Staynall, near the village of Hambleton, Lancashire, England. It is located on the eastern banks of the River Wyre, around 4 miles (6.4 km) from the river's mouth at the Irish Sea. An ancient port, the creek is believed to have been used since Roman times. In the 16th and 17th centuries, Russian ships sailed along the Wyre estuary to Wardleys Creek and nearby Skippool Creek. In 1708, customs were established in Poulton-le-Fylde to take advantage of the trade, while warehouses, to store wool, linen, yarn, flax and guano, had been built on Wardleys Creek by the early 1740s. A three-masted vessel was built at the harbour. Prior to nearby Fleetwood's emergence as a harbour, people emigrated to the Americas from the creek, including aboard the Quebec-bound Six Sisters on 3 April 1833. The harbour's foundation rocks are still visible beneath today's wooden jetty. Until the 1930s, a ferry used to run from Cockle Hall, on the western side of the river, to Wardleys Creek. Some of the passengers were employees of United Alkali Company at Burn Naze, the predecessor to ICI Hillhouse. Parts of the pier are still visible in the marsh in front of where Cockle Hall once stood.

Hambleton is a village and civil parish in the English county of Lancashire. It is situated on a coastal plain called the Fylde and in an area east of the River Wyre known locally as Over Wyre. Hambleton lies approximately 3 miles (4.8 km) north-east of its post town, Poulton-le-Fylde, and about 7 miles (11 km) north-east of the seaside resort of Blackpool. In the 2001 United Kingdom census, the parish had a population of 2,678, increasing to 2,744 at the 2011 census.Hambleton is part of the Borough of Wyre and is in the parliamentary constituency of Wyre and Preston North.

Hillylaid Pool is a water channel running through the Fylde and Wyre areas of Lancashire in England. It is 4.55 miles (7.32 km) long, and it is part of the Fleetwood Peninsula Tributary catchment area.Hillylaid Pool joins the River Wyre at Stanah, shortly after merging with another watercourse to the northwest of Flint's Caravan Park.It has the ability to be pumped at high tide by a pumping station on River Road, beside the entrance to Wyre Estuary Country Park.It was the subject of Wyre River Trust's Hillylaid Pool Wetland Project in 2018. The wetlands were created on the banks of the Wyre at Stanah in 2020, a combined effort of The Rivers Trust and Wyre Rivers Trust.

Fylde North was a constituency which returned one Member of Parliament (MP) to the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom from 1950, until it was abolished for the 1983 general election.

Wyre Estuary Country Park is located in Thornton-Cleveleys, Lancashire, England. Established in 1991 and covering 0.79 acres (0.32 ha), it is situated on the western banks of the 28 miles (45 km) long River Wyre, near its mouth at the Irish Sea at Fleetwood. The Wyre estuary forms part of the southern boundary of Morecambe Bay. From the park's car park, Fleetwood can be viewed to the north, and there are also vistas across the river to South Lakeland to the northeast, Over Wyre to the east and, beyond, the Bowland Fells.It has received a Green Flag Award and a VisitEngland Award.The park is a starting point on the Wyre Way.
