Jacob Zimmerman House was the home of Jacob and Lena Zimmerman, German American settlers who came west over the Oregon Trail in 1851 to what became Multnomah County in the U.S. state of Oregon. Built in 1874, the house was part of a 600-acre (240 ha) dairy farm. Members of the Zimmerman family lived on the farm from 1870 through 1992. The house and 1.58 acres (6,400 m2) were added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. In 1994, the city of Gresham began land acquisition and planning for a 5.98-acre (2.42 ha) public park, Zimmerman Heritage Farm, with the house as its centerpiece.The city, which owns the land, and the Fairview-Rockwood-Wilkes Historical Society (FRWHS), which owns the house, manage the Zimmerman Heritage Farm through a partnership. In 1992, the FRWHS acquired the house from Isobel Faith Zimmerman, the youngest granddaughter of the original owners. By late 2006, the society had spent an estimated $170,000 on rebuilding the foundation, upgrading the security system, fixing the porch, repairing the chimneys, replacing the roof and gutters, painting the exterior, and other work. The house is open for public tours on the third Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.The Zimmermans were among the five founding families of Fairview. They arrived in the Willamette Valley in 1851 and settled on Hayden Island in the Columbia River. After floods destroyed their first crops, they re-located to a 320-acre (130 ha) donation land claim about 10 miles (16 km) east of Portland. In late 1869, Jacob Zimmerman bought another donation land claim and moved into a log cabin on this site until building the original house in 1874. The Zimmermans' son, George, enlarged the farm to 660 acres (270 ha) on which he ran a successful dairy business that continued under several relatives and lessees into the 20th century.

Glenfair Park is a 4.74-acre (1.92 ha) public park in northeastern Portland, Oregon. The park was acquired in 1989.

Glenfair is a small neighborhood spanning the Northeast and Southeast sections of Portland, Oregon, on the city's eastern border with Gresham. It is bordered by the Wilkes, Hazelwood, and Centennial neighborhoods in Portland, as well as the City of Gresham to the east. Its boundaries are NE Glisan Street, 148th Avenue, SE Stark, and 161st Street. The neighborhood's major attraction is Glenfair Park. The Glenfair Community Garden exists on 143rd Avenue and E Burnside. In late 1978, United Airlines Flight 173, a DC-8 arriving from New York and Denver, crash-landed at Burnside and 157th after running out of fuel while attempting to rectify a landing gear issue. Ten on board were killed with no casualties on the ground.Glenfair is home to the largest Hispanic population of Portland, making up 31.4% of the population.

Thompson Park is a 4.42-acre (1.79 ha) public park in the Russell neighborhood of northeastern Portland, Oregon, United States. The park was acquired in 1986.

United Airlines Flight 173 was a scheduled flight from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City to Portland International Airport in Portland, Oregon, with a scheduled stop in Denver, Colorado. On December 28, 1978, the aircraft flying this route ran out of fuel while troubleshooting a landing gear problem and crashed in a suburban Portland neighborhood near NE 157th Avenue and East Burnside Street, killing 10 on board.

East 162nd Avenue station is a MAX light rail station on the boundary between Portland and Gresham in Oregon, USA. It serves the Blue Line and is the 18th stop eastbound on the current Eastside MAX branch. The station is at the intersection of East Burnside Street and NE/SE 162nd Avenue. It has staggered side platforms, which sit on either side of the cross street. Trains operate in the median of Burnside Street and the two platforms are located immediately after a train crosses 162nd Avenue, in both directions.

Von Ebert Brewing is a brewery based in Portland, Oregon. The business has operated in northwest Portland's Pearl District, at Glendoveer Golf Course in the northeast Portland part of the Hazelwood neighborhood, and at Cascade Station in Beaverton. The Pearl District location closed in April 2024.

East 172nd Avenue station is a MAX light rail station in Gresham, Oregon. It serves the Blue Line and is the 19th stop eastbound on the eastside MAX line. The MAX system is owned and operated by TriMet, the major transit agency for the Portland metropolitan area. The station is at the intersection of East Burnside Street and NE/SE 172nd Avenue. This station has staggered side platforms, which sit on either side of the cross street, because the route runs around this station on Burnside Street in the median. The station was located in TriMet fare zone 3 from its opening in 1986 until September 2012, at which time TriMet discontinued all use of zones in its fare structure.
