Glenfair is a small neighborhood spanning the Northeast and Southeast sections of Portland, Oregon, on the city's eastern border with Gresham. It is bordered by the Wilkes, Hazelwood, and Centennial neighborhoods in Portland, as well as the City of Gresham to the east. Its boundaries are NE Glisan Street, 148th Avenue, SE Stark, and 161st Street. The neighborhood's major attraction is Glenfair Park. The Glenfair Community Garden exists on 143rd Avenue and E Burnside. In late 1978, United Airlines Flight 173, a DC-8 arriving from New York and Denver, crash-landed at Burnside and 157th after running out of fuel while attempting to rectify a landing gear issue. Ten on board were killed with no casualties on the ground.Glenfair is home to the largest Hispanic population of Portland, making up 31.4% of the population.

East 162nd Avenue station is a MAX light rail station on the boundary between Portland and Gresham in Oregon, USA. It serves the Blue Line and is the 18th stop eastbound on the current Eastside MAX branch. The station is at the intersection of East Burnside Street and NE/SE 162nd Avenue. It has staggered side platforms, which sit on either side of the cross street. Trains operate in the median of Burnside Street and the two platforms are located immediately after a train crosses 162nd Avenue, in both directions.

Parklane Park is a 25.6-acre (10.4 ha) public park in southeast Portland, Oregon. The park was acquired in 1993.

The MAX system is owned and operated by TriMet, the major transit agency for the Portland metropolitan area.

Verdell Burdine Rutherford Park (formerly Lynchview Park) is a 7.7-acre (3.1 ha) public park in southeast Portland, Oregon. The park was acquired in 1993, and received a name change in mid 2020.

The MAX system is owned and operated by TriMet, the major transit agency for the Portland metropolitan area. The station is at the intersection of East Burnside Street and NE/SE 172nd Avenue. This station has staggered side platforms, which sit on either side of the cross street, because the route runs around this station on Burnside Street in the median. The station was located in TriMet fare zone 3 from its opening in 1986 until September 2012, at which time TriMet discontinued all use of zones in its fare structure.

Wilkes is the northeasternmost neighborhood in Portland, Oregon, bordered on the north by the Columbia River and on the east by the city of Gresham, where it expands into the city as the neighborhood of Wilkes East. It adjoins the neighborhoods of Argay, Russell, and Hazelwood on the west, and Glenfair on the south. Interstate 84 runs through the middle of the neighborhood. Wilkes is a mostly suburban and residential neighborhood in the south, but has many business parks and industrial space north of Sandy Boulevard.

Centennial is a neighborhood on the eastern edge of the Southeast section of Portland, Oregon, on the border with Gresham. The neighborhood includes Lynchwood Park (1993) and Parklane Park (1993). The unrelated Centennial, Oregon post office near Delta Park in North Portland served the Oregon statehood Centennial Exposition from June to September 1959.Prior being annexed by Portland, the community was enumerated as a "Census-designated place" in 1980, when the community recorded a population of 22,118. The community was also part of the CDP of Powellhurst-Centennial in 1990, which the census area recorded a population of 28,756.
