Russell is a neighborhood in the northeast section of Portland, Oregon, United States. Russell lies between Interstate 84 on the north and NE Halsey St. on the south, and between NE 122nd Ave on the west and NE 142nd Ave. on the east. It borders Argay on the north, Wilkes on the east, Hazelwood on the south, and Parkrose Heights on the west. John Luby Park (1985) is located here.

Von Ebert Brewing is a brewery based in Portland, Oregon. The business has operated in northwest Portland's Pearl District, at Glendoveer Golf Course in the northeast Portland part of the Hazelwood neighborhood, and at Cascade Station in Beaverton. The Pearl District location closed in April 2024.

Argay is bounded by the Columbia River on the north, NE 122nd Ave on the west, Interstate 84 on the south, and NE 148th Ave. on the east. Originally conceived of by Art Simonson and Gerhardt (Gay) Stavney (the “Ar” and “Gay” of Argay) as a "move-up" suburban family neighborhood alternative to Portland's congested inner-city, Argay Terrace built out as planned with larger homes on large lots spread out over the gently sloping terrain that gave the area an open feeling. Homes are typical of the style called "Mid-Century Modern" with a mix of one-story ranches (most with basements or daylight basements), split-entry, split-level, and some modern two-story colonials.

Wilkes is the northeasternmost neighborhood in Portland, Oregon, bordered on the north by the Columbia River and on the east by the city of Gresham, where it expands into the city as the neighborhood of Wilkes East. It adjoins the neighborhoods of Argay, Russell, and Hazelwood on the west, and Glenfair on the south. Interstate 84 runs through the middle of the neighborhood. Wilkes is a mostly suburban and residential neighborhood in the south, but has many business parks and industrial space north of Sandy Boulevard.

East 148th Avenue station is a MAX light rail station in Portland, Oregon. It serves the Blue Line and is the 17th stop eastbound on the current Eastside MAX branch. It is located at the intersection of East Burnside Street and NE/SE 148th Avenue, serving the Hazelwood, Glenfair and Wilkes neighborhoods. The MAX system is owned and operated by TriMet, the major transit agency for the Portland metropolitan area.

Glenfair Park is a 4.74-acre (1.92 ha) public park in northeastern Portland, Oregon. The park was acquired in 1989.

Birrieria La Plaza is a Mexican restaurant in Portland, Oregon, in the United States. Initially operating from a food cart in southeast Portland, the business has announced plans to add a brick and mortar and a stall at Block 216.

Glenfair is a small neighborhood spanning the Northeast and Southeast sections of Portland, Oregon, on the city's eastern border with Gresham. It is bordered by the Wilkes, Hazelwood, and Centennial neighborhoods in Portland, as well as the City of Gresham to the east. Its boundaries are NE Glisan Street, 148th Avenue, SE Stark, and 161st Street. The neighborhood's major attraction is Glenfair Park. The Glenfair Community Garden exists on 143rd Avenue and E Burnside. In late 1978, United Airlines Flight 173, a DC-8 arriving from New York and Denver, crash-landed at Burnside and 157th after running out of fuel while attempting to rectify a landing gear issue. Ten on board were killed with no casualties on the ground.Glenfair is home to the largest Hispanic population of Portland, making up 31.4% of the population.

Merrifield Park is a 0.95-acre (0.38 ha) public park in the Parkrose Heights neighborhood of northeastern Portland, Oregon, United States. The park was acquired in 1985.

United Airlines Flight 173 was a scheduled flight from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City to Portland International Airport in Portland, Oregon, with a scheduled stop in Denver, Colorado. On December 28, 1978, the aircraft flying this route ran out of fuel while troubleshooting a landing gear problem and crashed in a suburban Portland neighborhood near NE 157th Avenue and East Burnside Street, killing 10 on board.
