Glenn Springs Historic District is a national historic district located at Glenn Springs, Spartanburg County, South Carolina. It encompasses 18 contributing buildings and 3 contributing sites in the historic health resort of Glenn Springs. The community developed as a resort around the mineral springs between about 1840 and 1940. The district includes several residences, two boarding houses, Cates House Ruins, Calvary Protestant Episcopal Church, Presbyterian Church, Cates Store, Glenn Springs Post Office, a pavilion, a cemetery, and the site of the Glenn Springs Hotel. It includes notable buildings in the Greek Revival, Gothic Revival, Queen Anne, and Bungalow styles.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The William Dixon Fowler House was built around 1901 in Spartanburg County, South Carolina by William Dixon Fowler. The Queen Anne style house is believed to have been built from plans published by prolific residential architect George F. Barber. The wood-frame house features a high level of carpentry and detailing. The house's chief features are a wrap-around porch, a porte-cochere, and a second-story turret embedded in the slope of the main roof. A contemporaneous smokehouse is also considered a contributing feature.The Fowler House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on February 8, 2012.

The 2020 census lists a population of 2,110.The CDP is in eastern Spartanburg County and is bordered to the north by Ben Avon. South Carolina Highway 295 (Southport Road) forms the northern border of the CDP; Spartanburg is 5 miles (8 km) to the northwest, and Pacolet is 7 miles (11 km) to the east. The Creek Golf Club is in the center of the community, and Kelsey Creek, a south-flowing tributary of Fairforest Creek and part of the Tyger River watershed, forms the southwest boundary. It was founded in 1849 by the Reverend Newton Pinckney Walker as a private school for students who were deaf. The School for the Blind was established in 1855, and the school became state funded in 1856.Previously students were under de jure educational segregation in the United States with black students separate. In 1967 the school racially integrated.The School for the Multihandicapped was established in 1977, and the school began providing outreach services in the mid-1980s.
