Glenford is a hamlet in Ulster County, New York, United States. The community is located along New York State Route 28, 8.5 miles (13.7 km) northwest of Kingston. Glenford has a post office with ZIP code 12433, which opened on September 14, 1886.

Ashokan Ridge is a ridge located in the Catskill Mountains of New York west of Stony Hollow. Morgan Hill is located east, and Gallis Hill is located east-southeast of Ashokan Ridge.

West Hurley is a hamlet (and census-designated place) in Ulster County, New York, United States. The population was 1,917 at the 2020 census. West Hurley is located in the Town of Hurley and is inside the Catskill Park. The community is northwest of Kingston on Route 28. It was one of many villages that were flooded during the creation of the Ashokan Reservoir. The village was moved, and currently resides on the northern bank of the reservoir.

Maverick Concert Hall was built in 1916 and was part of the Maverick Artist Colony in Hurley, New York. The concert hall hosts the Maverick Concerts, a summer chamber music festival. Alexander Platt is the current music director. The mainstay of the series, which runs from the end of June through early September, is to be found in the chamber music concerts performed by distinguished soloists and ensembles on Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons. The Maverick Festival, a precursor to the Maverick Concerts, was founded in 1915 by Hervey White, and by 1931 the festival suspended.

Ohayo Mountain is a mountain located in the Catskill Mountains of New York southeast of Wittenberg. Acorn Hill is located northwest, Ashokan Ridge is located south, and Mount Guardian is located north of Ohayo Mountain.

Dreamland Recording Studios is a residential recording studio located in the town of Hurley, New York. Opened in 1986 as a recording facility, the studio is housed in what was once St. John's Church built in 1896.Some of the artists that recorded and produced at Dreamland include The B-52's, Joan Jett, Ace Frehley, Misfits, Bad Brains, The Breeders, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, Fleet Foxes, Yo-Yo Ma and Bobby McFerrin, Suzanne Vega, Dinosaur Jr., Buffalo Tom, 10,000 Maniacs, Jack DeJohnette, Joe Jackson, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Sunny Day Real Estate, The Connells among many others, and more recently The National, Parquet Courts, Jack and Amanda Palmer, Beach House, Kurt Vile and many more.All of the vintage recording gear and instruments that were used from the time of the studio foundation are still in use today. The centerpiece of the control room is a custom built 48 channel in-line API Legacy fit with Neve Flying Faders II. Dreamland still includes its full accommodation facilities for large groups, which enabled many artists to hold residency sessions at the studio. Today, the studio is managed by renowned drummer and composer Jerry Marotta.

The Woodstock Playhouse is an American summer stock theater located at 103 Mill Hill Road in Woodstock, New York. Founded in 1938, the not-for profit theater, which is owned by the Pan American Dance Foundation, hosts theatre, music and other presentations throughout the year. The original building burned in 1988, with the current building having opened in June 2011.

Stony Hollow, MP 8.3 on the Ulster and Delaware Railroad, was a small, station-agent-lacking flagstop/shelter that served the small town of Stony Hollow, between West Hurley and Kingston, New York, and had very little business. It was located halfway up the Hurley Mountain Grade, and was next to the Route 28A bridge crossing. Because of low traffic at this station, it was eventually closed and torn down.

Zena is a hamlet (and census-designated place) in Ulster County, New York, United States. As of the 2020 census the population was 1,038. Zena is in the Town of Woodstock on County Route 30. The community is northwest of Kingston. Zena is one of the more wealthy areas of this region, with the average home value above $300,000.
