Heritage Park (Colonie, New York)

Watervliet Shaker Historic District, in Colonie, New York, is the site of the first Shaker community. It was established in 1776. The primary Shaker community, the Mount Lebanon Shaker Society, was started a bit later. Watervliet's historic 1848 Shaker meetinghouse has been restored and is used for public events, such as concerts. The founder of the Shakers, Mother Ann Lee, is buried here.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973, and the listing was expanded later in the same year. Albany International Airport was constructed on the community's herb garden. At the time it was founded it was located in the Town of Watervliet, which went out of existence in 1896. Since then it has been in the Town of Colonie, not even close to the boundary of the modern City of Watervliet.

Christian Brothers Academy is a private, Catholic, college preparatory, junior and senior high school for boys founded in 1859 by the De La Salle Christian Brothers (see Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools). Christian Brothers Academy is located in the town of Colonie, New York near the Albany International Airport on a 126-acre (0.51 km2) campus built in 1998. Christian Brothers Academy is independently run by a board of trustees. The school is known for its academic and athletic programs, and has had a 100% college acceptance rate since 1980. The school's athletic program also boasts numerous athletic titles. Christian Brothers Academy educates 556 students in grades 5-12 from 49 different school districts throughout the Capital Region.

John Wolf Kemp House was a historic home located at Colonie in Albany County, New York. It was built about 1780 and was a 2-story, L-shaped frame farmhouse with a gable roof and five bays wide. It had a 1+1⁄2-story rear ell. It featured a 1-story hip-roofed enclosed porch over the three central bays. The entrance and side parlors have Federal-style details. Also on the property were a contributing privy and summer kitchen. The house was demolished in May 2003.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

St. Francis Chapel was a Catholic Franciscan chapel, sponsored by the Holy Name Province of the Order Friars Minor. It began in the Northway Mall in Colonie, New York, United States on December 28, 1970. Its final location was at Wolf Road Shopper's Park at 145 Wolf Road in Colonie. According to the St. Francis Chapel Mission Statement, its purpose was to continue the tradition of St. Francis of Assisi who preached in the marketplace.Although the chapel was physically within the boundaries of the Catholic Diocese of Albany, this chapel was not a parish and was not a diocesan church. The friars who served at the chapel resided at St. Bernardine of Siena Friary at Siena College. The final director of St. Francis Chapel was Father Michael Tyson, OFM.

Ebenezer Hills Jr. Farmhouse is a historic home located at Colonie in Albany County, New York. It was built about 1785 and is a two-story, five bay center hall plan frame farmhouse on a stone foundation. It features a one-story porch with a shed roof built about 1860 and supported by simple square columns and decorative brackets. Also on the property are three barns, a shed, and greenhouse.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Verdoy, formerly known as Watervliet Center, is a hamlet of the town of Colonie in Albany County, New York, United States. Much of Verdoy is in the Airport Noise Overlay District due to its immediate proximity to Albany International Airport's main north/south runway, which was recently extended by 1,300 feet to the north, moving it even closer to Verdoy. The former Troy & Schenectady Branch of the New York Central Railroad runs along Verdoy's northern border with the Mohawk River; it is now part of the Mohawk Hudson Hike/Bike Trail.

It was built about 1795 and is a two-story, six bay wide dwelling with two symmetrically placed end chimneys in the Federal style. It features a small entrance portico with a hipped roof and supported by square columns. Also on the property is a contributing barn.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Colonie Center is a shopping mall located in Roessleville, New York, a suburb of Albany, at the intersection of Central Avenue, Wolf Road, and Interstate 87. Opening in 1966, it was the first enclosed shopping mall in New York's Capital Region. The two-story mall has an area of about 1,300,000 square feet (120,000 m2) and 110 stores as well as a food court. Colonie Center was owned by Feldman Mall Properties until 2009, when it was sold to Heitman Value Partners. In April 2013, Heitman sold the mall to KKR & Co. L.P., partnered with Colonie Pacific. The mall anchors are Boscov's, Christmas Tree Shops, Macy's, Regal Cinemas, and Whole Foods Market. Another previous anchor included Steinbach. The L.L. Bean store in Colonie Center is the second busiest L.L. Bean store in the country, generating $12.4 million in annual sales. Outside of New York City, the Macy's store in Colonie Center is the highest revenue-producing Macy's store in the region with an annual revenue of $50 million. The Whole Foods Market generates $24.6 million in annual revenue. The mall is located near the busiest intersection in the capitol region.In 2015, Sears Holdings spun off 235 of its properties, including the Sears at Colonie Center, into Seritage Growth Properties. Portions of the former auto center became BJ's Restaurants and Ethan Allen. On October 5, 2020, Cineworld announced it would close all Regal, Cineworld, and Picturehouse Cinemas locations in the US, UK, and Ireland indefinitely, beginning October 8.
