Beaumont is a municipality of about 2,900 people 10 km east of Lévis, next to the Saint Lawrence River, in the Bellechasse Regional County Municipality in the Chaudière-Appalaches region of Quebec. It is a mostly rural community, with most people working in Lévis as there are no major businesses in Beaumont. It was chosen as one of the top 20 nicest villages in the province of Quebec. It is crossed by Route 132, with many of its shops and commodities built alongside it. A few small streets are attached to the road, but the rest of the municipality is divided using the seigneurial system. The many open fields in Beaumont stretch all the way to the Saint Lawrence river, giving the visitors a large panorama.

Desjardins was a regional county municipality in the Chaudière-Appalaches region of Quebec, Canada. It and Les Chutes-de-la-Chaudière Regional County Municipality were formed from the division of Lévis County in the 1980s. Desjardins ceased to exist when most of it, along with most of Les Chutes-de-la-Chaudière RCM, amalgamated into the expanded city of Lévis on January 1, 2002.

Pintendre is a district within the Desjardins borough of the City of Lévis, Quebec; It is located south of central Lévis along both side of Route 173. Prior to January 1, 2002, it was an independent municipality. Pintendre is the home of Pintendre Auto, a company recognized in 1990 by the Automotive Recyclers' Association as the best structured auto recycling facility in the world (chosen from 1800 other auto recycling corporate entities located in 14 countries). Saint-Joseph-de-la-Pointe-De Lévy is a district (secteur) within the Desjardins borough of the city of Lévis, Quebec. Prior to its 2002 merger into the city of Lévis, it was a parish municipality, whose name was written as Saint-Joseph-de-la-Pointe-de-Lévy. It was also more colloquially known as Saint-Joseph-de-Lévis.Population: 1,141 (2006)

Saint-Henri is a municipality of 5,611 people, 20 km south of Lévis, in the Bellechasse Regional County Municipality. It is sometimes known as Saint-Henri-de-Lévis, and was historically known as Saint-Henri-de-Lauzon. It used to belong to the former Desjardins Regional County Municipality, but decided to join Bellechasse in 2000 when the new city of Lévis was created. Saint-Henri felt it did not belong with a mostly urban RCM, and would fit better with Bellechasse, which has a largely rural base. Now, Saint-Henri is the biggest town in this RCM, followed by Saint-Anselme and Sainte-Claire. The Etchemin River crosses the municipality and one hydroelectric dam is found in Saint-Henri. On November 6, 1775, Benedict Arnold is said to have visited the village on his way to attack Quebec City. The largest local business is Olymel, a meat processing factory.

Saint-Laurent-de-l'Île-d'Orléans (pronounced [sɛ̃ lɔʁɑ̃ də lil dɔʁleɑ̃]) is a municipality in the Capitale-Nationale region of Quebec, Canada, part of the L'Île-d'Orléans Regional County Municipality. It is situated on the south side of Orléans Island. Prior to June 6, 1998 it was known simply as Saint-Laurent. Saint-Laurent has been twinned with Tourouvre in France since 1982.

Saint-Pierre-de-l'Île-d'Orléans is a municipality in the Capitale-Nationale region of Quebec, Canada, part of the L'Île-d'Orléans Regional County Municipality. It is situated on the west side of Orléans Island, and accessible by Quebec Route 368 and the Île d'Orléans Bridge which connects Saint-Pierre with the Beauport borough of Quebec City. Until 1997, it was known simply as Saint-Pierre. The Quebec poet and songwriter Félix Leclerc (1914-1988) is buried in this town, having lived there from 1958 to his death.

Saint-Charles-de-Bellechasse is a village with a population of 2,159 (2006 Census), established about 20 km southeast of Lévis in 1749, in the Bellechasse Regional County Municipality. Its total area is 93.12 km2. It is a rural community, with several notable businesses such as Meuble Idéal, Prodel (Cuisichef), Georges Laflamme Home Hardware, Aliments Breton, Unicoop and many small enterprises. It is also the home of the École secondaire Saint-Charles high school. The Boyer River, CN Railway, road 218 and road 279 cross the municipality. There are two small lakes inside the municipality, lakes St.Charles and lake Beaumont.

Sainte-Pétronille is a village municipality in the L'Île-d'Orléans Regional County Municipality in the Capitale-Nationale region of Quebec, Canada. It is situated on the south-western tip of Orléans Island, facing Quebec City. Former notable residents include the Boswell family, who owned the Boswell Brewery in Quebec City from 1843 to 1952, and painter Horatio Walker, whose workshop remains.

Cégep de Lévis, formerly known as Cégep de Lévis-Lauzon, is a CEGEP in Lévis, Quebec, Canada.

The Lévis Forts were a series of three forts located on the South Shore of the Saint Lawrence River in Lévis, Quebec, Canada. They were at shooting distance of one another which allowed the defense of a wide area without the cost of a continuous defensive wall. The first one was built (1865-1872) by the British Army and the other ones by private businesses (1865-1869). The costs were almost identical for all three, ranging from 57,600 to 59,762 pounds. During the American Civil War, Great Britain claimed to remain neutral in the conflict. However, the cotton directly imported from the south of the United States still had a great importance in the British textile industry. Following the Civil War, the British were still expecting an American invasion of Canada. The tense political relationship between Austria and Prussia had the British worried about their wood supply, if the access to the Baltic Sea was blocked. The Canadian forests would then be used as Great Britain's main wood supply. Lieutenant-Colonel William Jervois was sent to Canada to establish the Canadian defence plan. He suggested that detached forts be built on Pointe-Lévy, on the south shore of Quebec City. The original plans recommended 5 forts, of which 3 were actually built. None of the three were ever occupied as they were no longer considered necessary after the signing of the Treaty of Washington in 1871.
