Guarujá (; Portuguese pronunciation: [ɡwaɾuˈʒa]) is a municipality in the São Paulo state of Brazil. It is part of the Metropolitan Region of Baixada Santista. The population is 322,750 (2020 est.) in an area of 143.58 km2 (55.44 sq mi). This place name comes from the Tupi language, and means "narrow path". The population is highly urbanized.

The Santos-Dumont hearse pavilion was a tourist attraction located in Guarujá, Brazil, which housed the 1929 Chevrolet Ramona that was the hearse that carried the body of the Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont after he committed suicide at the Grand Hôtel La Plage, in Guarujá, on July 23, 1932.

Estádio Municipal Antônio Fernandes, is a football stadium located in Guarujá, São Paulo, Brazil. It has a maximum capacity of 8,000 people. The stadium is owned by the Guarujá City Hall. Associação Desportiva Guarujá play their home games at this stadium. It is one of the two hosts of the 2009 Copa Libertadores de Fútbol Femenino.

The Port of Santos (in Portuguese: Porto de Santos) is located in the city of Santos, state of São Paulo, Brazil. As of 2006, it is the busiest container port in Latin America. In 2016, it was considered the 39th largest port in the world for container handling, and the 35th per ton, according to the AAPA - American Association of Port Authorities ranking, being the busiest in Latin America.It possesses a wide variety of cargo handling terminals—solid and liquid bulk, containers, and general loads. It is Brazil's leading port in container traffic. The terrestrial access system to the port is made up by the Anchieta and Imigrantes highways and by the railroads operated by Ferroban and MRS. It was once considered the "port of death" in the 19th century due to yellow fever, and ships often avoided docking at the wood plank port. The floods in the city's area provoked illnesses.Today it is Latin America's largest port. Its structure is considered Brazil's most modern. In the early 20th century, major overhauling and urbanization created the port's modern structure seen today, eliminating the risk of diseases and providing the port with modern, industrial-age infrastructure. The location of the city of Santos was chosen at a convenient point for crossing the Serra do Mar mountain range, which is the main obstacle to access the interior. The first railway link from the port to the state capital São Paulo City, 79 km away, and the state's interior, was completed in 1864. This allowed for an easier transportation of the vast masses of migrant workers who headed to São Paulo and the state's numerous coffee farms. The main product exported by Santos until World War II was São Paulo state's huge coffee production, Brazil's largest. Today, coffee has become a smaller component of Brazil's exports and cars, machinery, orange juice, soybeans are now some of the port's main exports. Millions of immigrants reached Brazil via the Port of Santos in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, proceeding to the country's interior by railway.

The Andradas Fort (Portuguese: Forte dos Andradas, originally Portuguese: Forte do Monduba) is a fortification in the Morro do Monduba, at Guarujá, in the state of São Paulo in Brazil.

The Kestrel was a British barque that was built in 1871 with coal-fueled steam engines and three masts. She spent her career carrying goods across the Atlantic. On 11 February 1895 she was anchored at Santos, near São Paulo, Brazil, when she was caught in a tropical storm. Her anchor chain broke, and she was driven aground on to Boqueirao Beach. All but three crewmen were ashore when the ship was grounded, including Captain Cochrane. The remains of the ship were rediscovered in 2017 after they were uncovered by a storm.

The Basilica of St. Anthony (Portuguese: Basílica Santo Antônio do Embaré) Also Basilica of Santos It is a Catholic church inaugurated in 1945 in the city of Santos, Sao Paulo in the south of Brazil, that was built in the style of neo-Gothic architecture. The basilica originates in the small chapel built in the middle of 1874 by Antonio Ferreira da Silva, then Baron de Embaré. After his death, the chapel was abandoned for twenty years, when it was rebuilt and inaugurated in 1911. In 1915, it expanded, becoming the church. It was delivered in 1922 to the Capuchin friars, who started the new building in 1930, when they placed the cornerstone that would lead to the current basilica, which finally opened in 1945 and was elevated to the category of basilica by Pope Pius XII in 1952.

SS Guararema was a coastal steamship, built in Scotland as a member of the United Kingdom's War Standard Class C1. She was launched in 1918 as War Avon; but completed in 1919 for a Belgian shipowner as Independance. In 1921 the General Steam Navigation Company bought her, and renamed her Mavis. In 1929 a shipowner in Barrow-in-Furness bought her, and renamed her Sound Fisher. In 1937 her hull was lengthened. In 1939 a Brazilian shipowner bought her, and renamed her Guararema. She was sunk in a collision off the coast of Brazil in 1949.

The Catholic University of Santos (Portuguese: Universidade Católica de Santos, UniSantos or Católica de Santos) is a Brazilian private and non-profit Catholic university, located in Santos, São Paulo, the first university in the region of the city. It is one of the largest and most prestigious higher education institutions in Brazil, with many of its courses among the best ranked in the country, including Law, International Relations, Journalism, History, Psychology, Business Administration and Engineering. It is maintained by the Catholic Diocese of Santos.

On 13 August 2014, a Cessna Citation Excel business jet crashed while trying to land at Santos Air Force Base, near Santos, Brazil, killing all seven people on board. Among the victims was Brazilian Socialist Party presidential candidate Eduardo Campos. Eleven people on the ground were also injured. The accident investigation concluded that spatial disorientation in poor weather and pilot fatigue likely caused a low altitude loss of control of the aircraft, leading to the impact with the ground.

Santos Air Force Base – BAST (IATA: SSZ, ICAO: SBST) is a base of the Brazilian Air Force, located in Guarujá, Brazil. It will share some facilities with Guarujá Civil Metropolitan Aerodrome.

Guarujá Civil Metropolitan Airport (IATA: SSZ, ICAO: SBST) is an airport under construction to serve Guarujá, Santos and the Santos Metropolitan Region in Brazil. It is operated by Infraero. Some of its facilities will be shared with Santos Air Force Base of the Brazilian Air Force.
