Central United Church is a historic congregation of the United Church of Canada located in the community of Weston, now a neighbourhood of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Founded in 1821 (1821), the church has occupied the same site on Weston Road in Toronto since then.The congregation began as part of the Methodist Episcopal Church, a forerunner of both the Methodist Church of Canada (1884) and the United Church of Canada (1925). The first church building, a log structure, was erected in 1821, followed by a larger brick church constructed in 1849. The present building, dedicated in 1887, and built in the Gothic Revival style, has been altered and updated on several occasions, but retains the landmark tower. The tower includes examples of abat-sons. The church was one of the final projects of William Henry Mallory Sr., architect.The congregation has a unique musical heritage. The organ, constructed by Casavant Frères, was dedicated in 1950 as a memorial to members of the congregation who gave their lives in the Second World War. The Chancellors, a youth choir active from 1968 to 1980, produced five record albums and toured extensively. The congregation has been served by several notable clergy, including Egerton Ryerson, historian George Playter and E.A. Pearson, the father of Prime Minister Lester B. Pearson. Today, the church is well known for outreach into the community through the Weston King Neighbourhood Centre. The Centre provides meals, education and advocacy.

Weston GO Station is a train station in Toronto, Ontario, serving the GO Transit Kitchener line and the Union Pearson Express. It is located on the south side of Lawrence Avenue West, just east of Weston Road, in the neighbourhood of Weston.

Raymore Drive is a mostly residential street in the Weston neighbourhood of Toronto in the Canadian province of Ontario. It runs next to the Humber River. On October 15, 1954, the area was severely affected by Hurricane Hazel. When the Humber River burst its banks and tore away a footbridge, the waters of the Humber were redirected through the neighbourhood. The flood killed 35 residents and washed away 39 percent of the street. The washed-away part of Raymore Drive was never rebuilt, as subsequent residential development in that area has been prohibited; it is now part of Raymore Park. All together, Hazel was responsible for 81 deaths in Canada.

Humber Heights-Westmount, also known as Humbervale, is a neighbourhood in Etobicoke, Toronto, Ontario. The neighbourhood is bounded by the west bank of the Humber River, west to Royal York Road and south to Eglinton Avenue West. The Humber Creek divides the area into the northern 'Humber Heights' (originally the Etobicoke side of York Township's Weston) and the southern 'Westmount' (originally part of the 'Richview' farming district) centred along Scarlett Road and La Rose Avenue. 'Richview' district (and Richview Sideroad) originated in Westmount at Scarlett Road (at the now Eglinton Avenue intersection) and its elevation in the scenic neighbourhood gave birth to the name 'rich'-'view'. Richview Sideroad was changed to Eglinton Avenue in 1970 when a 4-lane bridge was built from the east side of the Humber River to Scarlett Road in Etobicoke. This caused the morphing of Richview Sideroad with Eglinton Avenue, and the name-change. Toronto City planners had hoped to turn Richview Sideroad into The Richview Expressway to connect mid-town Toronto to the western townships down to Hamilton. Local opposition from Westmount/James Gardens/Richmond Gardens districts put up strong and influential fight to eventually kill the plan.

Weston Collegiate Institute (Weston C.I., WCI, Weston), formerly known by its previous names of Weston Grammar School, Weston High School, Weston High and Vocational School and Weston Collegiate and Vocational School is a Grade 9 to 12 public high school located in the York South-Weston area of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is the second oldest high school in Toronto, after Jarvis Collegiate Institute. Weston CI is located on 100 Pine Street and has a student population of about 1043.

Primarily located along Eglinton Avenue between the Humber River and the Kitchener commuter rail line, the neighbourhood was best known for Kodak Heights, once a major film manufacturing facility owned and operated by the Eastman Kodak Company. According to the 2016 Toronto Ward 11 Census, 62,620 residents are in the area, with a median age of 39.3 as of 2016, and a population growth of over 0.4% as of 2016. 24, 895 households are in Ward 11, and 230 net new households were built in 2016. A total of 31,125 of 62,620 are immigrant populations as of 2016. Unemployment rate is 9.5% in Ward 11 as of 2016, with an average household income of $66,447 and is much lower than Toronto's average of $102,721 as of 2016. Average rent price is $940/month as of 2016's census as well.

Scarlett Heights Entrepreneurial Academy (SHEA), formerly known as Scarlett Heights Collegiate Institute (SHCI) is a Toronto District School Board facility that was originally operated as a secondary school, opened in 1963, and whose curriculum was broadened through a Student Leadership Development Program. This program extends the base curriculum. Although the TDSB closed the school in June 2018 due to low enrolment, the school facility is currently used to temporarily accommodate students from York Memorial Collegiate Institute.

Pelmo Park-Humberlea is a neighbourhood in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located north-west of the central core, in the former suburb of North York. Many of the neighbourhoods in this quadrant of the city can aptly be described as family neighbourhoods with access to parks, green space and a slower pace than found closer to downtown. As its name implies, it is composed of two geographic areas, the first being the Pelmo Park area which is bordered by the 401 to the north, Woodward Avenue to the south, Jane Street to the east and the CNR rail tracks to the west. York Humber High School (also called York Humber HS, YMHS, or York Humber) is a specialized vocational basic high school located in Mount Dennis, Toronto, Ontario, Canada administered by the Board of Education for the City of York until its merger by the Toronto District School Board. Founded in 1967 on Humber Blvd, the school moved to its new building on Emmett Road in 1992. Its motto is Factum Prosperitas (Build the Future).

Weston Golf and Country Club is located in Toronto, Ontario. Designed by Willie Park, Jr., it was home to Arnold Palmer's first PGA Tour victory in the 1955 Canadian Open.
