Denmead is a village in Hampshire near Portsmouth, England. It is part of the City of Winchester district. As of 2005, it had a population of 6,457 and an electorate of 4,987. At the 2011 census the population had increased to 6,736.

Hambledon is a small village and civil parish in the county of Hampshire in England, situated about 10 miles (16 km) north of Portsmouth within the South Downs National Park. Hambledon is best known as the 'Cradle of Cricket'. It is thought that Hambledon Club, one of the oldest cricket clubs known, was formed about 1750. Hambledon was England's leading cricket club from about 1765 until the formation of MCC (Marylebone Cricket Club) in 1787. The famous Bat and Ball Inn in Hyden Farm Lane is next to the historic cricket ground at Broadhalfpenny Down where the Hambledon club originally played. The inn was run by Richard Nyren, who was also captain of the club. The modern Hambledon Cricket Club's ground is at Ridge Meadow, about 0.5 miles (800 m) away. Hambledon is a rural village surrounded by fields and woods. There are about 400 households with just under 1,000 residents. The hamlet of Chidden, 2 miles (3.2 km) north of Hambledon, is in the parish. The nearest villages are Clanfield, Denmead and Soberton. Due to the climate and location Hambledon also has its very own vineyard, producing its own wine.

The Forest of Bere is a mixed-use partially forested area in Hampshire immediately north of Fareham, Portsmouth and Roman Road, Havant and including a small part of the South Downs National Park.The former uninterrupted forest is now a mix of woodland, open space, ponds, streams, heathland, farmland and downland interspersed by minor villages and the major settlements of Waterlooville (with Cowplain) and Eastleigh (with Chandlers Ford). There are a number of paths and bridleways for walking and cycling. In the southern portion, towards the area south of the Queen Elizabeth Country Park, conifer plantations were created in the twentieth century.

Purbrook Heath is a hamlet in the civil parish of Purbrook in the Havant district of Hampshire, England. Its nearest town is Waterlooville, which lies approximately 1.5 miles (2.6 km) north-east from hamlet. The Heath includes many attractions such as the cage where the locals can play football or basketball. There is also a cricket pitch, tennis courts and woodlands that has become popular for both dog walkers and the homeless.

Southwick and Widley is a civil parish in the English county of Hampshire forming part of the area administered as the City of Winchester. It comprises the village of Southwick and parts of the Havant suburb of Widley.

Wecock Farm is a 1970s council estate on the western edges of Waterlooville originally built by Portsmouth City Council. Its lineage can be traced back to the 16th century and is described as 'a place called Wycock' in 1591The estate's centre was redeveloped in 2003 with new housing, and new buildings for the community centre and a popular Chinese take-away.

Hinton Daubney is a small hamlet in Hampshire, England, located between Catherington and Hambledon. It is the site of one of the earliest recorded sightings of ball lightning.Hinton Daubney played a role in the escape of Charles II from England after the battle of Worcester. Worlds End is a small village in the civil parish of Denmead in the City of Winchester district of Hampshire, England. The village is about 7 miles (11 km) north of Portsmouth and 3.5 miles (5.6 km) north-west of Waterlooville, its nearest town. It has one of the oldest postboxes in the United Kingdom.

Hart Plain is part of Waterlooville and is the northwesternmost ward in the Borough of Havant. The population of Hart Plain in 2015 was 8,755, making up 7.3% of Havant borough's population. The ward is named after the old Hart Plain House which formerly stood on the site now occupied by Waterlooville Health Centre. The ward consists mainly of post-1950s housing and includes Portsmouth City Council's Wecock Estate. There is one school in the ward, Hart Plain Junior School, located next to the Cowplain School in Hart Plain Avenue.

Windmill Down is a rural location near the town of Hambledon in Hampshire. From 1782 to 1795, it was the home of the Hambledon Club as a noted cricket venue. Hambledon used Broadhalfpenny Down from at least 1753 until 1781 when it was abandoned for being "too remote". Broadhalfpenny is about two miles from the village whereas Windmill Down is adjacent, although Broadhalfpenny had a pub immediately opposite (the famous Bat and Ball Inn) but Windmill Down did not.On Tuesday 18 June 1782, the Hampshire Chronicle reported the first meeting on Windmill Down, referring to the ground as "a field called the New Broad Halfpenny adjoining to the Town of Hambledon". It is probable but unconfirmed that the first match was played there a week later. The first definite first-class cricket match was Hampshire v All-England in August 1782, All-England winning by 147 runs.Windmill Down was used regularly as the home venue for Hampshire matches until July 1795 when the last recorded match took place there.

Lovedean is a village in the East Hampshire district of Hampshire, England. It is 1.4 miles (2.2 km) west of Horndean. The nearest railway station is Rowlands Castle, 2.8 miles (4.6 km) southeast of the village. Although this is the nearest it is not readily accessible by public transport, for public transport the best is Cosham The village of Lovedean is situated around the main road Lovedean Lane, situated at the bottom of the valley after which it is named. Dean is from the old English word Denu, meaning valley. [The name Lovedean derives from a marriage in 1594 when Isabel Norton married Thomas Loveden [sic], and included in the dowry was part of the Manor of Catherington plus an area known as the Manor of Lovedean] Lovedean Village Hall is well used, there were two pubs, The Green Dragon which closed December 2011, and became a Tesco Express March 2012, and The Bird in Hand The Bird in Hand is owned by the same company that runs the Hurdles, a similar pub in Droxford as well as a few shops. The FA Cup trophy was hidden at The Bird in Hand during the Second World War, having been won by Portsmouth a few months before the outbreak of the war in 1939.
