Lovedean is a village in the East Hampshire district of Hampshire, England. It is 1.4 miles (2.2 km) west of Horndean. The nearest railway station is Rowlands Castle, 2.8 miles (4.6 km) southeast of the village. Although this is the nearest it is not readily accessible by public transport, for public transport the best is Cosham The village of Lovedean is situated around the main road Lovedean Lane, situated at the bottom of the valley after which it is named. Dean is from the old English word Denu, meaning valley. [The name Lovedean derives from a marriage in 1594 when Isabel Norton married Thomas Loveden [sic], and included in the dowry was part of the Manor of Catherington plus an area known as the Manor of Lovedean] Lovedean Village Hall is well used, there were two pubs, The Green Dragon which closed December 2011, and became a Tesco Express March 2012, and The Bird in Hand The Bird in Hand is owned by the same company that runs the Hurdles, a similar pub in Droxford as well as a few shops. The FA Cup trophy was hidden at The Bird in Hand during the Second World War, having been won by Portsmouth a few months before the outbreak of the war in 1939. Catherington Down is a 12.8-hectare (32-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Catherington in Hampshire. It is also a Local Nature ReserveThis western sloping site is chalk grassland with prominent lynchet strips dating to the Middle Ages. It is managed by grazing and has a variety of chalk herbs, such as pyramidal orchid, round-headed rampion and autumn lady's-tresses. There is also a narrow belt of woodland.There is access by footpaths from Catherington Lane.

Yoell's Copse is a 5.5-hectare (14-acre) Local Nature Reserve in Horndean in Hampshire. It is owned and managed by Horndean Parish Council.This ancient wood has coppiced mature oak trees and wild service trees. There are uncommon plants such as butcher's-broom and common cow-wheat.

The Forest of Bere is a mixed-use partially forested area in Hampshire immediately north of Fareham, Portsmouth and Roman Road, Havant and including a small part of the South Downs National Park.The former uninterrupted forest is now a mix of woodland, open space, ponds, streams, heathland, farmland and downland interspersed by minor villages and the major settlements of Waterlooville (with Cowplain) and Eastleigh (with Chandlers Ford). There are a number of paths and bridleways for walking and cycling. In the southern portion, towards the area south of the Queen Elizabeth Country Park, conifer plantations were created in the twentieth century.

Catherington is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Horndean, in the East Hampshire district of Hampshire, England. It is 1 mile (1.8 km) northwest of Horndean. The village is also close to Cowplain and Clanfield. It is situated about 10 miles north of Portsmouth and eight miles south of Petersfield, in the very south of the district of East Hampshire. It has a semi-rural character. Catherington is not a very large village and has an approximate population of 3900 (estimated 1998). The village is a conservation area.

Meon Valley () is a parliamentary constituency in Hampshire represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament by Flick Drummond, a Conservative, since 2019. It had previously been represented since its 2010 creation by George Hollingbery.The seat is due to be abolished for the next general election.

Broadhalfpenny Down (pronounced /ˌbrɔ:dˈheɪpniː/; brawd-HAYP-nee) is a historic cricket ground in Hambledon, Hampshire. It is known as the "Cradle of Cricket" because it was the home venue in the 18th century of the Hambledon Club, but cricket predated the club and ground by at least two centuries. The club is in the parish of Hambledon close to the neighbouring parish of Clanfield. The club took the name of the neighbouring rural village of Hambledon, about 2.7 miles away by road. The ground lies on a ridge connecting Broadhalfpenny Down itself with higher ground to the north at Wether Down and Salt Hill. The ridge and the down to the south are crossed by the Monarch's Way long-distance footpath before it descends towards Horndean.

Hart Plain is part of Waterlooville and is the northwesternmost ward in the Borough of Havant. The population of Hart Plain in 2015 was 8,755, making up 7.3% of Havant borough's population. The ward is named after the old Hart Plain House which formerly stood on the site now occupied by Waterlooville Health Centre. The ward consists mainly of post-1950s housing and includes Portsmouth City Council's Wecock Estate. There is one school in the ward, Hart Plain Junior School, located next to the Cowplain School in Hart Plain Avenue.

Horndean Technology College is a large school, situated in the village of Horndean in Hampshire, England. The school has formerly been called Horndean Community School, Horndean Secondary School and Horndean Bilateral. It is also sometimes informally referred to as Barton Cross, after the road on which its main entrance is situated. The school teaches over 1500 students a range of subjects, and has a large campus with over 11 buildings. The school has started a pilot scheme where they offer podcasts over the internet for at-home learning.

Horndean F.C. is an English football club based in Horndean, near Portsmouth in Hampshire. The club are currently members of the Isthmian League South East Division and play at the Stanley Chase Stadium on Five Heads Road, Horndean.

Cowplain is a village north of Waterlooville, Hampshire, England. With a population of 9,353 at the 2011 census, it makes up above 7% of Havant borough's population. It grew along the old London to Portsmouth road (the A3) on which the village centre and local shops lie.
