Worlds End, Hampshire

The Soberton and Newtown Millennium Walk 2000 is a 10-mile circular footpath through Hampshire, England around villages of Soberton and Newtown. Sections of the footpath are shared with The King's Way, Pilgrims' Trail, Wayfarers Walk and Meon Valley Trail. The entire route is waymarked by metal and plastic disks found attached to wooden and metal posts, trees and street furniture.

Southwick House is a Grade II listed 19th-century manor house of the Southwick Estate in Hampshire, England, about 5 miles (8 km) north of Portsmouth. It is home to the Defence School of Policing and Guarding, and related military police capabilities.

The Defence School of Policing and Guarding is the training centre for the Service Police of the British Armed Forces including the Ministry of Defence. It consolidates training for the Royal Navy Police, Royal Military Police and Royal Air Force Police and the Ministry of Defence Police in one location, assuring consistent standards across the services. The centre was established at Southwick Park, near Portsmouth, Hampshire, in 2005.

HMS Dryad is a former stone frigate (shore establishment). It was the home of the Royal Navy's Maritime Warfare School from the Second World War until it moved to HMS Collingwood at Fareham in 2004. The site was handed over to the Ministry of Defence in 2005 and is now occupied by the Defence School of Policing and Guarding.

St James Church, Southwick is the Church of England parish church of Southwick, Hampshire, England. The parish is part of the Diocese of Portsmouth.The church is designated a Grade I listed building by Historic England.The church has a Perpendicular tower and chancel. The west window is 14th century. Inside there is a 17th-century gallery supported by twisted wooden columns. The box pews, altar rail and pulpit also date from the 17th century.

Newlands is a civil parish in Hampshire, England, in the south-east of the local government district of the City of Winchester. It is composed of the parts of the west of Waterlooville Major Development Area which lie within the City of Winchester district, and straddles the border between the wards of Denmead and of Southwick and Wickham. It was legally created on 1 April 2019, with uncontested elections taking place as part of the 2019 local elections, alongside the Winchester local elections. The parish is represented by nine parish councillors, including a Chair and Vice-Chair, Chair of the Planning Committee, and Chair of the Finance Committee. As part of Winchester City Council, residents are represented by councillors of Newlands Parish Council, Winchester City Councillors and Hampshire county council; Winchester Southern Parishes Ward.

Denmead is a village in Hampshire near Portsmouth, England. It is part of the City of Winchester district. As of 2005, it had a population of 6,457 and an electorate of 4,987. At the 2011 census the population had increased to 6,736.

Hambledon is a small village and civil parish in the county of Hampshire in England, situated about 10 miles (16 km) north of Portsmouth within the South Downs National Park. Hambledon is best known as the 'Cradle of Cricket'. It is thought that Hambledon Club, one of the oldest cricket clubs known, was formed about 1750. Hambledon was England's leading cricket club from about 1765 until the formation of MCC (Marylebone Cricket Club) in 1787. The famous Bat and Ball Inn in Hyden Farm Lane is next to the historic cricket ground at Broadhalfpenny Down where the Hambledon club originally played. The inn was run by Richard Nyren, who was also captain of the club. The modern Hambledon Cricket Club's ground is at Ridge Meadow, about 0.5 miles (800 m) away. Hambledon is a rural village surrounded by fields and woods. There are about 400 households with just under 1,000 residents. The hamlet of Chidden, 2 miles (3.2 km) north of Hambledon, is in the parish. The nearest villages are Clanfield, Denmead and Soberton. Due to the climate and location Hambledon also has its very own vineyard, producing its own wine.
