Bagendon is a village and civil parish in the Cotswold district of Gloucestershire, England, about four miles (6 km) north of Cirencester. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 265,decreasing to 239 at the 2011 census.

The A417 is a main road in England running from Streatley, Berkshire to Hope under Dinmore, Herefordshire. It is best known for its section between Cirencester and Gloucester where it has primary status and forms part of the link between the major settlements of Swindon and Gloucester.

Stratton is a village, ward and former civil parish about 22 miles from Gloucester, now in the parish of Cirencester, in the Cotswold district, in the county of Gloucestershire, England. In 2018 the built up area and ward had an estimated population of 2584. In 1931 the parish had a population of 963. Stratton was on the A417, construction of the Cirencester and Stratton bypass was due to be started in 1994 and was complete in December 1997.

Rendcomb College is a public school (English private boarding and day school) for pupils aged 3–18, located in the village of Rendcomb five miles north of Cirencester in Gloucestershire, England. Rendcomb College was founded in 1920 by Frederick Noel Hamilton Wills (Noel Wills). The School has benefited from the stewardship of the Wills family for almost a century and from the two-tiered Governance of Trustees and Governing Body.

Baunton is a village and civil parish in the Cotswold district of Gloucestershire, England, located about two miles north of Cirencester on the River Churn. There is archaeological evidence of human habitation around the village in Prehistoric and Roman times. The village is recorded in Domesday Book in 1086 under the name of Baudintone which means an estate associated with a man called Balda.The Norman church of St Mary Magdalene was built by the Augustinian monks of Cirencester Abbey as a Chapel of Ease in about 1150. Inside there is large wall painting, probably dating from the 14th century, which depicts St Christopher carrying the Christ Child across a stream. It became the parish church in 1551. The village contains a number of Grade II listed buildings including the 16th century Manor House, and Baunton Mill. The village is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and much of it is classified a Conservation Area. The Manor of Baunton belonged to a succession of families including the George and Chester Master families. John George of Baunton was MP for Cirencester at the time of the Civil War. He was initially a Parliamentarian, but when his life was spared by the Royalists who had captured him, he converted to the King's side.According to the 2001 census it had a population of 290, increasing to 299 at the 2011 census.The village is at the southern edge of the Churn Valley electoral ward, which stretches up the valley to Coberley. The total ward population taken at the 2011 census was 1,970.

Daglingworth is a Gloucestershire village in the valley of the River Dunt, near the A417 road connecting Gloucester and Cirencester. As with many smaller villages in the Cotswolds, most of the buildings are now private houses. Other properties are the church, the village hall, a stable & horse riding centre and Bridge Farm. The Church of the Holy Rood in the village is an Anglo-Saxon church with well-preserved stone carvings, including an Anglo-Saxon crucifixion tablet dating to 1015. There is also a canonical sundial on the south wall. The population taken at the 2011 census was 265.
