Mita (三田) is a district of Minato, Tokyo, Japan. It was once home to grand estates of several daimyo, and now is one of Tokyo's most expensive upscale residential districts; it is home to many artists, CEOs, and celebrities.Mita is bordered by Higashi-Azabu on the north, Azabu-Jūban and Minami-Azabu to the west, and Shirokane and Takanawa to the south. Mita is home to Keio University, Mita Hachiman Jinja, and the diplomatic missions of Kuwait, Italy, Hungary, Papua New Guinea, and Australia.

Friends Girls Junior & Senior High School (普連土学園中学校・高等学校, Furendo Gakuen Chūgakkō Kōtōgakkō), also known as Friends School (普連土学園, Furendo Gakuen), is a girls' junior and senior high school (7th - 12th grades), authorized by the Japanese Education Law, of Religious Society of Friends in Mita, Minato, Tokyo, Japan. In 1887, Women Evangelical Friends from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA founded it for the purpose of education for women on the advice of Uchimura Kanzō and Nitobe Inazō. The School is still the only Friends' educational organization in Japan. Whilst all the pupils are not Friends, they receive education about Quakerism including about Inner light. The School states that the characters used to transliterate 'Friend' in Japanese mean "universal connection with all global places". This is derived from an idea of Tsuda Sen, who was the father of Tsuda Umeko, the founder of Tsuda College.

Shiomizaka (潮見坂) is a slope in Mita 4-chome located at Tsuki no Misaki, Tokyo. It intersects Hijirizaka, which runs southwest from the head of the promontory. In the Edo period, one could look out from the slope and see Tokyo Bay. This caused the slope to become a well-known scene of Edo-era Japan. It is often used in ukiyo-e prints. Many hill roads in Japan bear the name "Shiomizaka". The name carries a dual meaning in Japanese; the most common is one is "watch the tide" and another is "see death." (Similar dual meanings occur in Japanese, for example Fujimi has two meaning, one is "look at Mount Fuji," another is "become immortal.") The names of the roads are attributed to Edo Shogunate founder Tokugawa Ieyasu who was given the territory by Toyotomi Hideyoshi. It is said that he gave the slopes the names "shiomi" and "fujimi" because had faced the many crisis and overcame it in his life, that is Shi wo mite, and Fujimi ni naru.

Keio University (慶應義塾大学, Keiō Gijuku Daigaku), abbreviated as Keio (慶應) or Keidai (慶大), is a private research university located in Minato, Tokyo, Japan. It is the oldest institute of western higher education in Japan. Its founder, Fukuzawa Yukichi, originally established it as a school for Western studies in 1858 in Edo. The university has eleven campuses, primarily in Tokyo and Kanagawa. It has ten undergraduate faculties: Letters, Economics, Law, Business and Commerce, Medicine, Science and Technology, Policy Management, Environment and Information Studies, Nursing and Medical Care, and Pharmacy. There are fourteen graduate schools (listed below) and both on- and off-campus research institutes and facilities. The university is one of the members of the Top Global University Project (Top Type), funded by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. Keio University is also one of the member universities of RU11 and APRU, and it is one of only two Japanese universities (alongside the University of Tokyo) to be a member of the World Economic Forum's Global University Leaders Forum.Its list of alumni and faculty includes three former prime ministers, two astronauts, six international honorary members of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and a Wolf Prize winner. Keio University also produced the largest number of CEOs of companies listed in the first section of Tokyo Stock Exchange and ranks 53rd (in the world) in top 100 Global Executives, according to Times Higher Education's "Alma Master Index 2017".

Araki (Japanese: あら輝, Hepburn: Araki) was a sushi restaurant run by Japanese chef Mitsuhiro Araki (荒木水都弘) in the Ginza neighbourhood of Tokyo, Japan. It received a three-star rating in the 2011 edition of the Michelin Guide for Tokyo, Yokohama and Kamakura. Described as "Japan's most difficult restaurant to make a booking at", the restaurant closed in February 2013 so that Araki could pursue a new challenge overseas, which led to him opening The Araki in London in October 2014. In March 2019, Araki moved to Hong Kong to open another restaurant and was replaced at The Araki in London by Marty Lau. While The Araki had three Michelin star ratings, it was stripped of all three stars in the 2020 guide.The restaurant is known for its seafood influenced cuisine, as well as for staying true to Japanese culture and traditions with a lot of the staff wearing traditional Japanese clothes. The restaurant is at the higher end of the price scale, with the average cost being around £300 per person.

The Great Martyrdom of Edo was the execution of 50 foreign and domestic Catholics (kirishitans), who were burned alive for their Christianity in Edo (modern-day Tokyo), Japan, on 4 December 1623. The mass execution was part of the persecution of Christians in Japan by Tokugawa Iemitsu, the third shogun of the Tokugawa shogunate. Among the executed was Jerome de Angelis (1567–1623), an Italian Jesuit missionary to Japan.

Temple University, Japan Campus (Abbreviated: TUJ, Japanese: テンプル大学ジャパンキャンパス) is an international campus of Temple University (located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States). TUJ has classrooms and student facilities in Setagaya-ku, Tokyo. It is the oldest and largest foreign university in Japan, with an estimated 2,051 matriculated students, of which approximately 60% come from nearly 70 countries around the world (approximately 40% are from Japan).The university offers many degree programs, including an A.A., B.A., M.S.Ed., Ed.D., Ph.D., MiM, and LL.M., and offers semester and year-long study abroad programs for U.S. undergraduate and law students. The History Museum of J-Koreans (Japanese: 在日韓人歴史資料館, Korean: 재일한인역사자료관) is a museum covering the history of Koreans in Japan (especially Zainichi Koreans) located in Tokyo, Japan. The museum was established on November 24, 2005. The museum covers both major historical events and the daily lives of Zainichi Koreans from the late Joseon period to the present day. It has a collection of over 70,000 artifacts, which it is digitalizing. The museum is relatively unknown to both the Korean and Japanese general publics, and had a total of 32,000 visitors from 2005 to 2015.

Shūkōzan Chōjuin Saikai-ji (周光山長寿院済海寺), more commonly Saikai-ji (済海寺), is a Japanese temple in 4-16-23, Mita, Minato, Tokyo (on the Tsuki no Misaki). Its religious sect and principal image are Pure Land Buddhism and Amitābha respectively. This is a 26th the place where can get the green paper of Edo thirty three Kannon hallow ground. Kamezuka Park (亀塚公園, Kamezuka Kōen) is a children's park in Minato Ward Mita 4-16-20 in Tokyo in Japan. A literal translation of its name is “turtle tomb park”. It lies on the Tsuki no Misaki plateau. A Japanese temple, Saikai-ji, is next to the park.

Tokyo International School is an international school in Minami Azabu, Minato, Tokyo, Japan.It was founded in 1997 by parents who wanted to provide an education for their children. The school contains a pre-school, elementary and middle school with a total student population of approximately 360 students, representing over 60 nationalities. The 50 full-time faculty members come from 13 countries. Instruction is in English and the school follows the International Baccalaureate Organization curriculum guidelines. It is accredited by New England Association of Schools and Colleges and the Council of International Schools. TIS is also a Columbia University Readers and Writers 'Project' school. This means it receives regular visits on an annual basis from teacher trainers from Columbia University. Admission guidelines are designed to ensure each class has no more than 20 students. Mita Hachiman Jinja (御田八幡神社) is a Shinto shrine in Mita 3-7-16, Minato, Tokyo, Japan. Its festival is on 15 August. God's Name: Hondawakeno Mikoto (誉田別尊命), Amenokoyaneno Mikoto (天児屋根命), Takenouchi Sukuneno Mikoto (武内宿禰命) Shrines in precincts: Gokō Inari Jinja (五光稲荷神社), Mikage Jinja (御嶽神社) Facilities in precincts: Kaguraden (神楽殿: hall for Shinto music and dance), Chōzuya (手水舎: place for cleansing), Shamusho (社務所: shrine office).
