Friends Girls Junior & Senior High School (普連土学園中学校・高等学校, Furendo Gakuen Chūgakkō Kōtōgakkō), also known as Friends School (普連土学園, Furendo Gakuen), is a girls' junior and senior high school (7th - 12th grades), authorized by the Japanese Education Law, of Religious Society of Friends in Mita, Minato, Tokyo, Japan. In 1887, Women Evangelical Friends from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA founded it for the purpose of education for women on the advice of Uchimura Kanzō and Nitobe Inazō. The School is still the only Friends' educational organization in Japan. Whilst all the pupils are not Friends, they receive education about Quakerism including about Inner light. The School states that the characters used to transliterate 'Friend' in Japanese mean "universal connection with all global places". This is derived from an idea of Tsuda Sen, who was the father of Tsuda Umeko, the founder of Tsuda College.

The Great Martyrdom of Edo was the execution of 50 foreign and domestic Catholics (kirishitans), who were burned alive for their Christianity in Edo (modern-day Tokyo), Japan, on 4 December 1623. The mass execution was part of the persecution of Christians in Japan by Tokugawa Iemitsu, the third shogun of the Tokugawa shogunate. Among the executed was Jerome de Angelis (1567–1623), an Italian Jesuit missionary to Japan.

Mita (三田) is a district of Minato, Tokyo, Japan. It was once home to grand estates of several daimyo, and now is one of Tokyo's most expensive upscale residential districts; it is home to many artists, CEOs, and celebrities.Mita is bordered by Higashi-Azabu on the north, Azabu-Jūban and Minami-Azabu to the west, and Shirokane and Takanawa to the south. Mita is home to Keio University, Mita Hachiman Jinja, and the diplomatic missions of Kuwait, Italy, Hungary, Papua New Guinea, and Australia.

Keio University (慶應義塾大学, Keiō Gijuku Daigaku), abbreviated as Keio (慶應) or Keidai (慶大), is a private research university located in Minato, Tokyo, Japan. It is the oldest institute of western higher education in Japan. Its founder, Fukuzawa Yukichi, originally established it as a school for Western studies in 1858 in Edo. The university has eleven campuses, primarily in Tokyo and Kanagawa. It has ten undergraduate faculties: Letters, Economics, Law, Business and Commerce, Medicine, Science and Technology, Policy Management, Environment and Information Studies, Nursing and Medical Care, and Pharmacy. There are fourteen graduate schools (listed below) and both on- and off-campus research institutes and facilities. The university is one of the members of the Top Global University Project (Top Type), funded by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. Keio University is also one of the member universities of RU11 and APRU, and it is one of only two Japanese universities (alongside the University of Tokyo) to be a member of the World Economic Forum's Global University Leaders Forum.Its list of alumni and faculty includes three former prime ministers, two astronauts, six international honorary members of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and a Wolf Prize winner. Keio University also produced the largest number of CEOs of companies listed in the first section of Tokyo Stock Exchange and ranks 53rd (in the world) in top 100 Global Executives, according to Times Higher Education's "Alma Master Index 2017".

Shūkōzan Chōjuin Saikai-ji (周光山長寿院済海寺), more commonly Saikai-ji (済海寺), is a Japanese temple in 4-16-23, Mita, Minato, Tokyo (on the Tsuki no Misaki). Its religious sect and principal image are Pure Land Buddhism and Amitābha respectively. This is a 26th the place where can get the green paper of Edo thirty three Kannon hallow ground. Green Paper's principal image is Kamezuka Seikannon Bosatsu (亀塚正観世音菩薩).

God's Name: Hondawakeno Mikoto (誉田別尊命), Amenokoyaneno Mikoto (天児屋根命), Takenouchi Sukuneno Mikoto (武内宿禰命) Shrines in precincts: Gokō Inari Jinja (五光稲荷神社), Mikage Jinja (御嶽神社) Facilities in precincts: Kaguraden (神楽殿: hall for Shinto music and dance), Chōzuya (手水舎: place for cleansing), Shamusho (社務所: shrine office).

Kamezuka Park (亀塚公園, Kamezuka Kōen) is a children's park in Minato Ward Mita 4-16-20 in Tokyo in Japan. A literal translation of its name is “turtle tomb park”. It lies on the Tsuki no Misaki plateau. A Japanese temple, Saikai-ji, is next to the park.

Shiba (芝) is an area of Minato ward in Tokyo, Japan and one of districts in the Shiba area.

Tamachi Station (田町駅, Tamachi-eki) is a railway station in the Tamachi neighborhood of Minato, Tokyo, Japan, operated by the East Japan Railway Company (JR East). It is served by the circular Yamanote Line and the Keihin-Tōhoku Line. All trains stop at this station. Mita Station on the Asakusa and Mita subway lines is within walking distance, although there is no physical connection and the stations are generally not marked as an interchange on route maps. Tamachi is the nearest JR station to Keio University's Mita campus and Temple University Japan's Mita and Azabu campuses.

Araki (Japanese: あら輝, Hepburn: Araki) was a sushi restaurant run by Japanese chef Mitsuhiro Araki (荒木水都弘) in the Ginza neighbourhood of Tokyo, Japan. It received a three-star rating in the 2011 edition of the Michelin Guide for Tokyo, Yokohama and Kamakura. Described as "Japan's most difficult restaurant to make a booking at", the restaurant closed in February 2013 so that Araki could pursue a new challenge overseas, which led to him opening The Araki in London in October 2014. In March 2019, Araki moved to Hong Kong to open another restaurant and was replaced at The Araki in London by Marty Lau. While The Araki had three Michelin star ratings, it was stripped of all three stars in the 2020 guide.The restaurant is known for its seafood influenced cuisine, as well as for staying true to Japanese culture and traditions with a lot of the staff wearing traditional Japanese clothes. The restaurant is at the higher end of the price scale, with the average cost being around £300 per person.

Hōtōzan Hōju-in Daishin-ji (宝島山峯樹院大信寺), abbreviated Daishin-ji, is a Buddhist temple of the Jōdo sect in Minato, Tokyo, Japan. In 1611, the founder, Ryō-kō Shōnin, was given land for the temple in Minami Hatchōbori by the Tokugawa shogunate. The temple was originally named Hōtōzan. In 1635, it was relocated to its present site in Mita 4 chōme by order of the government, to accommodate the continuing expansion of Edo. In 1636, Ishimura Genzaemon, considered the first shamisen craftsman in Edo, was buried in the temple. From Ishimura Omi, the graves of eleven generations of the family were also constructed there. For this reason, the temple is sometimes nicknamed "The Shamisen Temple."
