Created in 1985, the district of Capuava was formed from a part of the Utinga subdistrict, and is situated in one of the most industrialized regions of the city. It was opened by the Government of the State of São Paulo on April 6, 2018.

Because of the small demand (about 5,000 passengers per day), this station would be named by the press as mini-station. It was opened by the Government of the State of São Paulo on April 6, 2018.
