Subprefecture of Aricanduva

Aricanduva is a district in the subprefecture of the same name in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. It is located along the west bank of the Aricanduva River, which crosses the city from east to southeast. The name Aricanduva originated from one of the indigenous languages of Brazil known as Tupi and means "place where there are many palm trees of the airi species".

Centro Comercial Aricanduva (English: Aricanduva Shopping Center), also known as Shopping Aricanduva (English: Aricanduva Mall), is the third largest shopping mall in Latin America behind the Albrook Mall in Panama, and Antea LifeStyle Center in Mexico, and one of the largest in the world. It has over 500 shops, 14 cinemas and 14,700 parking spaces. The mall has 425,000 m2 (4,570,000 sq ft) of built area, out of which 257,047 m2 (2,766,830 sq ft) is leasable space, making it the biggest in the Southern Hemisphere. The mall is located in the Aricanduva Avenue, district of Cidade Líder, São Paulo. Its slogan is "Gigante como São Paulo", which means "Gigantic like São Paulo." The mall is a complex that consists of Shopping Leste Aricanduva, Interlar Aricanduva (home decoration and construction stores) and Auto Shopping Aricanduva (automotive stores).

The Cemitério de Vila Formosa (Vila Formosa Cemetery) is a necropolis located in the East End district of Vila Formosa, in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. It is Latin America's largest cemetery.Created on May 20, 1949, (the first burials took place on August 26, 1949) the cemetery has an area of 780,000 square meters (about 192.74 acres), where more than 1.5 million people have been buried to date. It is a space used in particular for burials of poor people and those from the lower middle classes.Divided into two wings, each month it carries out an average of 275 burials. With eight rooms for open casket visitation, the Vila Formosa cemetery has three entrances. This cemetery occupies the fourth largest green area in São Paulo, only being smaller than Parque Anhangüera, Parque Ibirapuera and Parque do Carmo, thus representing an important green area for the areas east of São Paulo.

The Subprefecture of Pinheiros is one of 32 subprefectures of the city of São Paulo, Brazil. It comprises four districts: Pinheiros, Alto de Pinheiros, Itaim Bibi, and Jardim Paulista.Pinheiros is the most affluent of the subprefectures. It comprises two of the five financial districts of the city, including Paulista Avenue and many of the most important museums of the city. It has also the neighbourhoods of Vila Madalena and Vila Olímpia, famous for its nightlife and dance clubs, and most (though not all) of the upper-class residential neighbourhoods. It is the headquarters of many Brazilian companies such as AmBev, Vivo, Rede Globo (along with Rio de Janeiro), and Grupo Pão de Açúcar, as well as the Brazilian headquarters of many multinational companies, including Google, Microsoft, Apple, Yahoo!, Santander, Ernst & Young, Unilever, Nextel and Bunge.

Vila Tolstói is a monorail station of São Paulo Metro. Belongs to Line 15-Silver, which is actually in expansion, and should go to São Mateus, with connection with Line 2-Green in Vila Prudente. It is placed in Av. Prof. Luis Inácio de Anhaia Mello, 7753, next to Rua Angical do Piauí, in the border of the districts of São Lucas and Sapopemba. It was opened by the Government of the State of São Paulo on April 6, 2018.

Jardim Planalto is a station of the São Paulo Metro. It belongs to Line 15-Silver, which is currently in expansion, and should go to Jardim Colonial, connecting with Line 2-Green in Vila Prudente. It is located in Avenida Sapopemba, 10000. It was officially opened on 26 August 2019.

Camilo Haddad is a monorail station of São Paulo Metro. Belongs to Line 15-Silver, which is actually in expansion, and should go to São Mateus, with connection with Line 2-Green in Vila Prudente. It is placed in Av. Prof. Luis Inácio de Anhaia Mello, next to Rua Camilo Haddad. Because of the small demand (about 5,000 passengers per day), this station would be named by the press as mini-station. It was opened by the Government of the State of São Paulo on April 6, 2018.

Vila Carrão (Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈvila kaˈʁɐ̃w̃]) is the historical name of a small residential neighborhood in São Paulo, with 75,000 residents as of 2005. It belongs to the Carrão district and to the Aricanduva sub-prefecture. Vila Carrão is located about 13 km east of the city's center, on the west side of the Aricanduva River. It was officially established in 1917, and is named after Councillor Carrão, a prominent public figure who owned the area at the end of the 19th century.

São Lucas is a monorail station of the São Paulo Metro. Belongs to Line 15–Silver, which is currently in expansion, and should reach the district of São Mateus, with connection with Line 2–Green in Vila Prudente. It is placed in Av. Prof. Luis Inácio de Anhaia Mello, 5400. Its construction started in 2015. It was opened on April 6, 2018 by the Government of the State of São Paulo.

Carrão (Portuguese pronunciation: [kaˈʁɐ̃w]) is an administrative district of the São Paulo, with 75,000 residents as of 2005. It belongs to the Aricanduva sub-prefecture. Carrão is located about 13 km east of the city's center. It is named after João José da Silva Carrão, a prominent public figure who owned most of the district's area at the end of the 19th century.
