Alston is an unincorporated community in Columbia County in the U.S. state of Oregon. It lies along U.S. Route 30 (Lower Columbia River Highway) between Rainier and Clatskanie. Old Rainier Road and Alston–Mayger Road intersect Route 30 at Alston.

Inglis is an unincorporated community in Columbia County, Oregon, United States. Inglis post office was established on September 30, 1902, and was named after the first postmaster, John E. Inglis. The post office closed in 1910, then reopened in 1914, finally closing in 1918. The railroad station at this locale was named Inglis Station.

USS Washtenaw County (LST-1166) was a Terrebonne Parish-class tank landing ship in commission in the United States Navy from 1953 to 1973. Named for Washtenaw County, Michigan, she was the only U.S. Navy vessel to bear the name. It is currently derelict. In October 2008, it was reported to be at the southeastern tip of Lord Island on the Columbia River in Rainier, Oregon at 46°07′18″ N 123°00′51″ W next to the Oregon shoreline. It is listed as a derelict vessel by the interagency Derelict Vessel Task Force, and has suffered damage from vandalism and looting between 2005 and 2008. While some had hoped to restore the ship as a museum ship, there is no funding or plan to do so.

Mayger is an unincorporated community in Columbia County, Oregon, United States. Fishing is important to Mayger. It was originally the site of Frenchman Charles Mayger's Mayger Logging Company, which he sold in 1886 to William F. Slaughter. Mayger's post office was established three years later and its first postmaster was Charles Mayger. It closed in 1961. Mayger is served by the Clatskanie, Oregon post office.

Apiary is an unincorporated community in Columbia County, Oregon, United States, that takes its name from a post office established by David M. Dorsey. The post office operated from August 28, 1889, until March 24, 1924. It is reported that Dorsey was a beekeeper, which provided the source of the name for the Post Office and thus the community. The community was served by Apiary School District #38, which operated a two-room school providing education services for grades 1 through 8. When operational, it operated in conjunction with the Rainier Union High School District which provided education services for grades 9 through 12. (The high school district also included a number of other grade school districts in the area: Delena, Hudson, Fern Hill, Rainier, Goble, Shiloh Basin, and Neer City districts. In the 1960s, the districts were consolidated into a single district, and the rural schools were closed over the next 10 to 15 years.) The community and the school are located along the road now known as Apiary Road near the headwaters of the North Fork of the Clatskanie River. At this writing, the school building still exists but has been converted to a private home. The community also includes a pioneer cemetery but has never contained a community center such as a church, Grange hall, or even a fire station. Currently, Apiary Road is a popular freight route for forest products moving from the Northern Oregon Coast Range (particularly areas drained by the Nehalem River) to markets in Longview, Washington. The Apiary Road interconnects the Nehalem Highway north of Pittsburg signed as Oregon Route 47 with U.S. Route 30 west of Rainier. However, the intersection with U.S. Route 30 is signed as Larson Road, because Apiary Road technically ends at Old Rainier Road, a former route of U.S. Route 30 just to the south of the present U.S. Route 30.

Mount Coffin was a promontory in what is now Longview, Cowlitz County, Washington, U.S. It served as native burial grounds for the Cowlitz Tribe, who practiced above-ground interment of their deceased. The memaloose illahee, or cemetery was named by Lieutenant William Robert Broughton of George Vancouver's expedition aboard HMS Chatham in 1792. The landmark was leveled for its gravel during construction of the Port of Longview.

Great Vow Zen Monastery was founded in 2002 and is operated by Zen Community of Oregon (ZCO) under the leadership of abbots Chozen Bays, Roshi, and Hogen Bays, Roshi. The monastery offers a public Sunday morning program, weekend workshops, weeklong meditation retreats, and special events throughout the year.

Quincy is an unincorporated community in Columbia County, Oregon, United States. It is located about 4.5 miles northeast of Clatskanie and 3.5 miles southwest of Mayger in a drained and diked area of the Columbia River lowlands.The Quincy area was first settled about 1882 and named by J. W. Barnes for his hometown of Quincy, Illinois. Quincy post office ran from 1892 until 1933.In 1915, Quincy had a population of 40 and two churches and two schools. In 1940, Quincy had a population of 303. Quincy Store is still in operation.

Eufaula is an unincorporated community in Cowlitz County, Washington. Eufaula is located northwest of the city of Longview, reached by traveling westbound out of the city along Washington State Route 4, also known as Ocean Beach Highway, turning north onto Coal Creek Road and then Harmony Drive. The Eufaula community is part of the Longview School District, a K-12 school district of about 6,600 students.

West Longview is an unincorporated community, which was formerly categorized as a census-designated place (CDP), in Cowlitz County, Washington. West Longview is located on western border of the city of Longview, Washington. When it was a categorized as a CDP, the population was 2,882 according to the 2000 United States Census.
