The MacDougall-Walker Correctional Institution is a Level 4 & 5 (high & maximum) security level multi-mission facility for adult males, in Suffield, Connecticut. Based on its inmates population, it is the largest correctional facility in New England. It came into being on May 15, 2001, as the result of the merge between the Walker Reception and Special Management Unit and the MacDougall Correctional Institution. Kings Island is the largest island in the Connecticut River and is located between Enfield and Suffield, Connecticut in Hartford County. Other names include Colonel John Pynchon's Island, Copper Island, Devotion Island, General Lyman Island, Great Island, Lyman Island, and Terry's Island The island is nearly a mile long and contains 104 Acres.

The Warehouse Point railroad bridge is a girder bridge with a truss main span crossing the Connecticut River between Enfield and Suffield, Connecticut. It carries Amtrak's New Haven–Springfield Line. The bridge has spaces for two tracks, but only one is connected to the mainline. It is one of a few iron bridges erected in the United States before the end of the American Civil War.

The Enfield–Suffield Covered Bridge was a wooden covered bridge over the Connecticut River located between Enfield, Connecticut, and Suffield, Connecticut. The bridge connected Bridge Lane on the Enfield (east) side of the river with Bridge Street on the Suffield side of the river. Half of the bridge was destroyed in a flood on February 15, 1900. Hosea Keach, agent for the New Haven Railroad at Enfield Bridge station, which was at the entrance to the bridge, was on the bridge when it collapsed. He rode a piece of the span down the river, and climbed to the roof, where he was seen by two railroad employees at the Warehouse Point railroad bridge. They lowered a rope from the railroad bridge as he passed below, rescuing him.The remains of the bridge were purchased by Southern New England Telephone, which blew up the remaining part of the bridge and used the piers for carrying telephone wires across the river.

The Noden-Reed Museum is a historic house museum at 58 West Street in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. It includes the David Pinney House and Barn, and is a surviving reminder of the town's agricultural past. It is administered by the local historical society, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The J. R. Montgomery Company Industrial Complex is a historic factory complex located on an island between the Enfield Falls Canal and the Connecticut River in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. It is next to the Windsor Locks Canal State Park Trail. The site has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 2017.

The Bridge Street Bridge is a crossing for Route 140 over the Connecticut River, connecting the towns of Windsor Locks and East Windsor. The current bridge was completed in 1992. The previous bridge at this location was a 7-span through Pratt truss built in 1921. Before that there was a suspension bridge built in 1886. Originally, there was a ferry secured to a mid-river pier.

The Alexander King House is a historic house at 232 South Main Street in Suffield, Connecticut. Built in 1764, the house interior contains one of the state's finest collections of 18th-century Georgian woodwork. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. It is now a historic house museum operated by the Suffield Historical Society.

St. Joseph Parish is a parish designated for Polish immigrants in Suffield, Connecticut, United States. It was founded on March 12, 1916. It is one of the Polish-American Roman Catholic parishes in New England in the Archdiocese of Hartford.

St. John's Episcopal Church is a historic church at 92 Main Street in the Warehouse Point section of East Windsor, Connecticut. Built in 1804, its interior was extensively restyled in the second half of the 19th century to resemble a Gothic English country church. The building, still in active use by the original congregation, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Suffield Historic District is a historic district encompassing the Main Street area of the town center of Suffield, Connecticut, USA. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979 and is part of a larger local historic district. It runs along North and South Main Street from Muddy Brook to north of Mapleton Avenue, and includes a diversity of 18th through early 20th-century architecture.

The Hatheway House, also known as the Phelps-Hatheway House & Garden is a historic house museum at 55 South Main Street in Suffield, Connecticut. The sprawling house has sections built as early as 1732, with significant alterations made in 1795 to a design by Asher Benjamin for Oliver Phelps, a major land speculator. The house provides a window into a wide variety of 18th-century home construction methods. It is now maintained by Connecticut Landmarks, and is open seasonally between May and October. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.
