Tim Horton's Iceplex is a 180,000-square-foot (17,000 m2) non-profit indoor athletics facility in the Rochester, New York suburb of Brighton. Located on the campus of Monroe Community College, the arena was built in 1998. It is home to four regulation-size ice rinks for semi-professional, high school, and youth hockey teams' use. The Iceplex is home to youth hockey teams from Rochester Youth Hockey, Rochester Edge Girls Hockey, Rochester Coalition, Rochester Grizzlies Hockey, Perinton Youth Hockey, Spencerport High School Hockey, Roc City Roller Derby, Girls Selects Academy at Bishop Kearney, St. John Fisher Club Hockey, Nazareth Golden Flyers Men's and Women's Division III NCAA Hockey, Rochester Ice Cats Special Hockey, and other local teams. The arena also serves as the Rochester Americans official practice facility, and the USA Paralympic Sled Hockey Team chose it as their official training site in 2010. In 2008, 87 events were held at the facility, drawing nearly 33,000 players and spectators. Prior to the 2018 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships in nearby Buffalo, The Iceplex hosted some national teams and exhibition games leading up to that tournament.The naming agreement with Canadian doughnut chain Tim Horton's was announced in October 2023. The facility was known as Bill Gray's Regional Iceplex from 2013-2023 when Monroe Community Sports Centre Corporation cut ties from the local restaurant group. The facility was known as the ESL Sports Centre through 2009, when ESL Federal Credit Union dropped its sponsorship. From that point until April 2013, when Bill Gray's picked up sponsorship (with a 30-year agreement), the facility was known as the Sports Centre at MCC. The facility underwent a 3,000-square-foot expansion in 2017 that cost $2.2 million and included a new fitness center as well as a physical therapy and sports rehab area.

Genesee Valley Regional Market Authority is a New York state Class C Public Authority created in 1950 to "avoid stressing the tax base". The Authority had a budget of $2.7 million in 2006-2007 with estimated surplus of $914K.The Authority " ... serves as a centrally located food distribution center for a nine-county area in Western New York. The Market is located on 123 acres (0.50 km2) in the Town of Henrietta, County of Monroe. There are 160 companies doing business on the property. The Market generates its revenue by renting buildings and land."The Authority's website currently lists more than 50 companies and organizations leasing building space on Jefferson Avenue and Mushroom Boulevard locations. More than 50 also lease land controlled by the Authority, including major retail chains such as Office Depot, Holiday Inn, and Munro Muffler. The land leases are for locations on Clay Road, East Henrietta Road, Jefferson Road, and Mushroom Boulevard.In accordance with the Authority By-Laws, the Directors of the Authority are selected from each of the covered counties and serve voluntarily, receiving nominal compensation for attendance at meetings.

WROC (950 kHz), branded as 95.7FM & 950AM The Fan, is an AM radio station licensed to Rochester, New York, airing a sports radio format. The format is closely affiliated with Buffalo sister station WGR, and carries content from Infinity Sports Network, the BetMGM Network, and local shows, along with play-by-play from teams owned by Pegula Sports and Entertainment. The station's studios are located at High Falls Studios downtown, and its transmitter tower is on Rochester's southside near the I-390/I-590 freeway interchange. The station's call sign is a reference to WROC-TV; while the stations are not and have never been co-owned, WROC radio has an agreement with WROC-TV to provide local news coverage, and the borrowing of the WROC call sign from WROC-TV is included in this agreement. (The WROC call sign was previously used on 1280 kHz, now WHTK, which was originally co-owned with WROC-TV.)

The Laboratory for Laser Energetics (LLE) is a scientific research facility which is part of the University of Rochester's south campus, located in Brighton, New York. The lab was established in 1970 with operations jointly funded by the United States Department of Energy, the University of Rochester and the New York State government. The Laser Lab was commissioned to investigate high-energy physics involving the interaction of extremely intense laser radiation with matter. Scientific experiments at the facility emphasize inertial confinement, direct drive, laser-induced fusion, fundamental plasma physics and astrophysics using the Omega Laser Facility. In June 1995, OMEGA became the world's highest-energy ultraviolet laser. The lab shares its building with the Center for Optoelectronics and Imaging and the Center for Optics Manufacturing. The Robert L. Sproull Center for Ultra High Intensity Laser Research was opened in 2005 and houses the OMEGA EP laser, which was completed in May 2008. More than 270 Ph.D.s have been awarded as of 2022 for research conducted at the LLE. During summer months the lab sponsors local-area high school juniors in research at the laboratory, with most of their projects led by senior scientists at the lab.

Rochester Psychiatric Center (RPC) is a state psychiatric hospital in Rochester, New York, operated by the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMC). It provides inpatient psychiatric treatment for adults, including forensic psychiatric services, and operates outpatient and community-based mental health programs serving multiple counties in the Greater Rochester region.

University of Rochester-Golisano Children's Hospital (GCH) formerly Children's Hospital at Strong, is a nationally ranked, freestanding acute care children's hospital in Rochester, New York. It is affiliated with the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. The hospital features all private rooms that consist of 168 pediatric beds. The hospital provides comprehensive pediatric specialties and subspecialties to infants, children, teens, and young adults aged 0–21 throughout the region. The hospital also sometimes treats adults that require pediatric care. The hospital shares the rooftop helipad for the attached Strong Memorial Hospital and is an ACS verified level I pediatric trauma center, one of the only ones in the region. The hospital features a regional pediatric intensive-care unit and an American Academy of Pediatrics verified level IV neonatal intensive care unit. GCH also offers one of the country's few Ronald McDonald Houses that is located within a hospital.

Timothy Wallace House is a historic home located at Rochester in Monroe County, New York. It was constructed about 1840 for farmer Timothy Wallace and is a typical example of a regional farmhouse. It is an intact representative example of vernacular Greek Revival style architecture in Western New York. The original structure featured a two-story main block with flanking wings that was added to and modified throughout the 19th and 20th centuries.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

The Terrence Building is an abandoned high-rise building and former psychiatric hospital in the Azalea neighborhood of Rochester, New York. Opened in 1959, the 16-story tower was once the home of the Rochester State Hospital, serving as a mental ward that boasted 1,000 beds until it closed in 1995. The empty building, which was one of the largest mental health facilities built in the United States, continues to rise above the southern outskirts of the city to this day.

Strong Memorial Hospital (SMH) is an 886-bed medical facility, part of the University of Rochester Medical Center complex (abbreviated URMC), in Rochester, New York, United States. Opened in 1926, it is a major provider of both in-patient and out-patient medical services. Attached to Strong is the 190-bed Golisano Children's Hospital, which serves infants, children, teens, and young adults aged 0–21. SMH is owned and operated by the University of Rochester and serves as its primary teaching hospital. It offers programs toward medical, dental, or graduate degrees through the School of Medicine and Dentistry. The hospital anchors the University's health care delivery network in the Rochester area. It serves as a primary community hospital and a regional trauma center for the Rochester area. Also part of the network are Golisano Children's Hospital, and URMC affiliate Highland Hospital.SMH offers care in 40 different specialties and is ranked as one of "America's Best Hospitals" by U.S. News & World Report, and has won the Consumer Choice Award for the best hospital in the area for 12 consecutive years. Strong has signature programs in cardiac care, cancer care, neurology, orthopedics and pediatrics. As an affiliated academic research hospital, patients have access to the latest treatments. Strong also provides emergency medical services. SMH is a teaching hospital and patients may interact with faculty, residents, fellows, interns and/or medical students.

Eastman Institute for Oral Health of University of Rochester is a school of dentistry located at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, New York, United States. Unlike other dental schools in the United States, it does not have an undergraduate dental program. It is affiliated with Strong Memorial Hospital.The institution records over 180,000 patient visits a year and receives over $9 million in research funding as a location for oral health research in North America. Its programs receive over 1,200 applications every year for 40 positions, resulting in an acceptance rate of 3.3%. In 2011, it underwent a $5.9 million renovation. The school has ranked within the top 10 of National Institutes of Health (NIH)/National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) research funding to dental institutions several times, including ranking seventh in 2020. In the year 2020, the Eastman Institute for Oral Health published over 150 peer-reviewed research publications.
