The Seven is a real estate project in the Munich Gärtnerplatz district, City area Ludwigsvorstadt-Isarvorstadt. In a former heating plant of the city of Munich, luxury properties were built. According to media reports, these were "the most expensive apartments in the city". The former heating plant Müllerstraße in Müllerstraße 7 was sold by the Stadtwerke München. In the two top floors, a 700-square-meter penthouse with surrounding terrace and a 360-degree view has been created, at a cost of 14 million Euro.The five chimneys remained from the buildings previous use. Alpha invest Projekt and LBBW Immobilien Capital, a subsidiary of Landesbank Baden-Württemberg, were involved. The object was designed by the Berlin architects Léon Wohlhage Wernick.On the 14,000 square meter grounds, three complexes were built with 6,000 square meters of park area: an office and commercial complex along the Müllerstraße, a five-storey atrium building with about 80 apartments as well as the 54-meter-high former machine tower with 25 large luxury properties. It has a two story high entrance hall with a 24-hour Concierge and a gym. Since May 2014, the city of Munich is running a house for children, currently a nursery and kindergarten, in the complex. The underground car park is accessed via Corneliusstraße.The housing prices, according to reports, range from 6,000 to 20,000 Euro per square meter, which was up to five times the average price of new properties in the state capital. As in other cities, there is also a debate on gentrification in Munich regarding such construction projects in the luxury segment. It is also the location of Munich's most expensive day care.

Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz

The Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz (State Theatre at Gärtnerplatz), commonly called the Gärtnerplatztheater, is an opera house and opera company in Munich. (The "Gärtnerplatz" is an urban square in the borough Ludwigsvorstadt-Isarvorstadt.) Designed by Michael Reiffenstuel, it opened on 4 November 1865 as the city's second major theatre after the National Theatre. At times exclusively concerned with operetta, in recent years there have also been productions of opera, musicals and ballet. The scope of activities is similar to that of the Komische Oper in Berlin and the English National Opera in London. The Jewish Museum Munich (Hebrew: המוזיאון היהודי במינכן), provides an overview of Munich’s Jewish history and is part of the city's new Jewish Center located at Sankt-Jakobs-Platz in Munich, Germany. It is situated between the main synagogue Ohel Jakob and the Jewish Community Center which is home to the Jewish Community of Munich and Upper Bavaria and houses a public elementary school, a kindergarten, a youth center as well as a community auditorium and a kosher restaurant. The museum was built from 2004 until its inauguration on March 22, 2007 and is run by the city of Munich.

Ohel Jakob synagogue (Munich)

Ohel Jakob (from Hebrew: "Jacob's Tent") is a synagogue in Munich, Germany. It was built between 2004 and 2006 as the new main synagogue for the Jewish community in Munich and is located at the Sankt-Jakobs-Platz. The synagogue was inaugurated on 9 November 2006 on the 68th anniversary of the Kristallnacht. The building is part of the new Jewish Center consisting of the synagogue, the Jewish Museum Munich and a community center.

Munich Stadtmuseum

The Munich Stadtmuseum (German: "Münchner Stadtmuseum") or Munich City Museum, is the city museum of Munich. It was founded in 1888 by Ernst von Destouches. It is located in the former municipal arsenal and stables, both buildings of the late Gothic period. It was formally named Museum of Masterpieces of Science and Technology (Museum von Meisterwerken der Naturwissenschaft und Technik).

Deutsches Brauereimuseum

The Deutsche Brauereimuseum ("German brewery museum") at the St.-Jakobs-Platz in Munich was founded in 1952 on the initiative of the Bavarian Hofbräuhaus. It is the most famous museum of its kind in Germany and is part of the local city museum (Munich Stadtmuseum). The museum is sponsored by a voluntary museum's association. Focal point of the collection is the historical and technical evolution of beer brewing. The oldest exhibit is a drinking vessel of the 4th millennium BC. In addition to beer glassware and beer jugs there are models of big breweries and a complete microbrewery.

Munich Film Archive

The Munich Film Archive, in the Munich Stadtmuseum, is one of eight film museums in Germany. It has no showrooms and is limited to screening the films in a single cinema with 165 seats, as well as collecting, archiving, and restoring film copies. All analog and digital formats (except 70mm) can be shown.
